中重型颅脑损伤是复杂的危重临床疾病,容易继发应激性溃疡(stress ulcer,SU)值得关注.中重型颅脑损伤继发应激性溃疡的机制复杂,多与颅内压增高,迷走神经兴奋,儿茶酚胺分泌增多,胃黏膜灌注减少,H+逆向渗透有关.治疗颅脑损伤的同时,积极预防应激性溃疡是改善患者预后的关键.质子泵抑制剂(proton pump inhibitor,PPI)、组胺受体拮抗剂(histamine H2 receptor antagonists,H2RA)被广泛应用于应激性溃疡的预防和治疗,但是其预防效果和药物副作用方面还存在较大争议.应激性溃疡的发生涉及多种因素的综合作用,既往研究为临床提供了一定的参考价值,但是很难精准地指导临床应激性溃疡的科学防治,未来应依据大量循证医学证据制定应激性溃疡防治指南,明确干预时机,预防性用药适应症,形成规范化治疗.

Thermogenic beige fat improves metabolism and prevents obesity.Emerging evidence shows that the activation of M2 macrophages stimulates beige adipogenesis,whereas the activation of Ml macrophages,which play a major role in inflammation,impedes beige adipogenesis.Thus,the identification of factors that regulate adipose tissue macrophages(ATMs)will help clarify the mechanism involved in beiging.Here,we found that one of the secreted proteins in adipose tissue,namely,BMP4,alters the ATM profile in subcutaneous adipose tissue by activating M2 and inhibiting Ml macrophages.Mechanistically,the BMP4-stimutated p38/MAPK/STAT6/PI3K-AKT signalling pathway is involved.Meanwhile,BMP4 improved the potency of M2 macrophages to induce beige fat biogenesis.Considering that the overexpression of BMP4 in adipose tissue promotes the beiging of subcutaneous adipose tissue and improves insulin sensitivity,these findings provide evidence that BMP4 acts as an activator of beige fat by targeting immuno-metabolic pathways.

Effect of alumina occurrence form on metallurgical properties of hematite and magnetite pellets

The effect of alumina occurrence form on the metallurgical properties of both hematite and magnetite pellets was investigated at the same Al_(2)O level of 2 wt.%,including reduction index(RI),low-temperature reduction disintegration index(RDI),reduction swelling index(RSI),and high-temperature softening-dripping performance.The mineralogy of fired pellets was also studied to reveal the influence of alumina occurrence form on the phase composition and microstructure.From the results,the alumina occurrence form presents tremendous impacts on the metallurgical perfor-mance of both magnetite and hematite pellets.Addition of all alumina occurrence forms contributes to inferior reducibility of pellets,especially in the case of gibbsite for magnetite pellets with a RI of 58.4%and kaolinite for hematite pellets with a RI of 56.8%.However,addition of all alumina occurrence forms improves the RDI of magnetite pellets,while there is no significant difference among various alumina occurrence forms.In contrast,alumina occurrence forms have little influence on the RDI of hematite pellets.The presence of free alumina,gibbsite,and kaolinite tends to improve the RSI of hematite and magnetite pellets,whereas hercynite gives the opposite trend with a RSI of 25.6%.For softening-dripping performance of magnetite pellets,all alumina occurrence forms contribute to narrower softening-melting interval.Meanwhile,alumina,gibbsite,and kaolinite give narrower softening-dripping interval,at 229,217,and 88℃,respectively,whereas addition of hercynite results in the largest melting range at 276℃ due to its high melting point.Regarding hematite pellets,free alumina,gibbsite,and hercynite tend to enlarge melting range,whereas kaolinite contributes to lower dripping temperature of 1148℃ and narrow softening-dripping interval of 88℃ due to the formation of a greater amount of slag phase at high temperatures.

Adipose tissues are important organs for energy homeostasis. White adipose tissue(WAT)stores energy in the form of triglycerides, whereas brown adipose tissue(BAT) dissipatesenergy in the form of heat. Adipose tissue expands to accommodate changes in energyavailability through hypertrophy of existing adipocytes and by initiating adipogenic differentiationof stem cells. Accumulation of visceral WAT is associated with adverse metabolicoutcomes, whereas increased amounts of subcutaneous WAT has been viewed as beneficialin its metabolic effects. WAT, especially in some subcutaneous depots will undergo‘beiging’- the process of acquiring characteristics of BAT- following cold exposure ortreatment with adrenergic activators or antidiabetic drugs, thiazolidinediones. De novoadipogeneis of subcutaneous WAT is evidenced during ‘beiging’ after cold exposure,which is accompanied by switching on an angiogenesis. However, the mechanisms bywhich adipogenesis is coordinated angiogeneis are largely unknown. Our previous workshowed BMP4 acquires subcutaneous WAT with BAT activity(beiging) along with increasednumber of both stromal vascular cells and mature adipocytes, indicating thatBMP4 both recruits and activates the beige adipocytes. In the present study, we found increasednumber of vascular endothelia in subcutaneous WAT of transgenic mice overexpressingBMP4, and decreased of that in knockouts. In ex vivo angiogenesis assay, sproutingfrom adipose tissue fragement was enhanced in tissues taken from BMP4 transgenicmice, or directly stimulated by BMP4 treatment. EdU labeling study detected EdU positivecells in both stromal vascular and mature adipocyte fraction of subcutaneous WAT, andthat was increased in mature adipocytes from transgenic mice, indicating BMP4 stimulatedstem cells proliferation as well as adipogenic differentiation. Autophagy is a highly conserved self-digestion pathway involved in various physiologicaland pathophysiological processes.Recent studies have implicated a pivotal role of autophagyin adipocyte differentiation,but the molecular mechanism for its role and how it isregulated during this process is not clear.Here,we show that CCAAT/enhancer-bindingproteinβ(C/EBPβ),an important adipogenic factor,is required for the activation of autophagyduring 3T3-L1 adipocyte differentiation.An autophagy-related gene Atg4b is identifiedas a de novo target gene of C/EBPβand plays an important role in 3T3-L1adipocytedifferentiation.Furthermore,autophagy is required for the degradation of Klf2 and Klf3,two negative regulators of adipocyte differentiation,which is mediated by the adaptorprotein p62/SQSTM1.Importantly,the regulation of autophagy by C/EBPβand the role ofautophagy in Klf2/3 degradation and in adipogenesis are further confirmed in mousemodels.Our data describe a novel function of C/EBPβin regulating autophagy and revealthe mechanism of autophagy during adipocyte differentiation.These new insights into themolecular mechanism of adipose tissue development provide a functional pathway withtherapeutic potential against obesity and its related metabolic disorders.

Taurine, a nonprotein amino acid, is widely distributed in almost all animal tissues. Ingestion of taurine helps to improve obesity and its related metabolic disorders. However, the molecular mechanism underlying the protective role of taurine against obesity is not completely understood. In this study, it was found that intraperitoneal treatment of the mice with taurine alleviated high-fat diet(HFD)-induced obesity, improved insulin sensitivity, and increased energy expenditure and adaptive thermogenesis of the mice. Meanwhile, administration of the mice with taurine markedly induced the browning of inguinal white adipose tissue(iWAT), with significantly elevated expression of PGC1α, UCP1 and other thermogenic genes in iWAT. In vitro studies indicated that taurine also induced the development of brown-like adipocytes in C3H10T1/2 white adipocytes. Knockdown of PGC1α blunted the role of taurine in promoting the brown-like adipocytes phenotype in C3H10T1/2 cells. Moreover, taurine treatment enhanced AMPK phosphorylation in vitro and in vivo, and knockdown of AMPKα1 prevented taurine-mediated induction of PGC1α in C3H10T1/2 cells. Consistently, specific knockdown of PGC1α in iWAT of the HFDfed mice inhibited taurine-induced browning of iWAT, with the role of taurine in the enhancement of adaptive thermogenesis, the prevention of obesity and the improvement of insulin sensitivity being partially impaired. These results reveal a functional role of taurine in facilitating the browning of white adipose tissue, which is dependent on the induction of PGC1α. Our studies also suggest a potential mechanism for the protective role of taurine against obesity which involves taurine-mediated browning of white adipose tissue.

Scene graphs of point clouds help to understand object-level relationships in the 3D space.Most graph generation methods work on 2D structured data,which cannot be used for the 3D unstructured point cloud data.Existing point-cloud-based methods generate the scene graph with an additional graph structure that needs labor-intensive manual annotation.To address these problems,we explore a method to convert the point clouds into structured data and generate graphs without given structures.Specifically,we cluster points with similar augmented features into groups and establish their relationships,resulting in an initial structural representation of the point cloud.Besides,we propose a Dynamic Graph Generation Network(DGGN)to judge the semantic labels of targets of different granularity.It dynamically splits and merges point groups,resulting in a scene graph with high precision.Experiments show that our methods outperform other baseline methods.They output reliable graphs describing the object-level relationships without additional manual labeled data.

Currently,there is no solid criterion for judging the quality of the estimators in factor analysis.This paper presents a new evaluation method for exploratory factor analysis that pinpoints an appropriate number of factors along with the best method for factor extraction.The proposed technique consists of two steps:testing the normality of the residuals from the fitted model via the Shapiro-Wilk test and using an empirical quantified index to judge the quality of the factor model.Examples are presented to demonstrate how the method is implemented and to verify its effectiveness.
