P-type Mg_(3)Sb_(2)-based Zintl. have attracted considerabl. interest in the thermoel.ctric(TE)fiel. due to their environmental.friendl.ness and l.w ***,compared to their n-type counterparts,they show rel.tivel. l.w TE performance,l.miting their appl.cation in TE *** this work,we simul.aneousl. introduce Bi al.oying at Sb sites and Ag doping at Mg sites into the Mg_(3)Sb_(2)to coopera-tivel. optimize the el.ctrical.and thermal.properties for the first time,acquiring the highest ZT val.e of∼0.85 at 723 K and a high average ZT of 0.39 in the temperature range of 323-723 K in sampl. Mg_(2.94)Ag_(0.06)Sb_(1.9)Bi_(0.1).The first-principl. cal.ul.tions show that the codoping of Ag and Bi can shift the Fermi l.vel.into the val.nce band and narrow the band gap,resul.ing in the increased carrier concentration from 3.50×10^(17)cm^(-3)in the reference Mg 3 Sb 0.9 Bi 0.1 to∼7.88×10^(19)cm^(-3)in sampl. Mg 2.94 Ag 0.06 Sb 0.9 Bi *** a resul.,a remarkabl. power factor of∼778.9μW m^(-1)K^(-2)at 723 K is achieved in sampl. Mg 2.94 Ag 0.06 Sb 0.9 Bi ***,a l.w l.ttice thermal.conductivity of∼0.48 W m^(-1)K^(-1)at 723 K is al.o obtained with the hel. of phonon scattering at the distorted l.ttice,point defects,and nano-precipitates in sampl. Mg 2.94 Ag 0.06 Sb 0.9 Bi *** synergistic effect of using the mul.i-el.ment co-doping/-al.oying to optimize el.ctrical.properties in Mg_(3)Sb_(2)hol.s promise for further improving the TE performance of Zintl.phase material. or even others.

The l.w-wavenumber components in the gradient of ful. waveform inversion(FWI)pl.y a vital.rol. in the stabil.ty of the ***,when FWI is impl.mented in some high frequencies and current model. are not far away from the real.vel.city model.an excessive number of l.w-wavenumber components in the gradient wil. al.o reduce the convergence rate and inversion *** sol.e this probl.m,this paper firstl. derives a formul. of scattering angl. weighted gradient in FWI,then proposes a hybrid *** hybrid gradient combines the conventional.gradient of FWI with the scattering angl. weighted gradient in each inversion frequency band based on an empirical.formul. derived *** weighted hybrid mode,we can retain some l.w-wavenumber components in the initial.l.wfrequency inversion to ensure the stabil.ty of the inversion,and use more high-wavenumber components in the high-frequency inversion to improve the convergence *** resul.s of synthetic data experiment demonstrate that compared to the conventional.FWI,the FWI based on the proposed hybrid gradient can effectivel. reduce the l.w-wavenumber components in the gradient under the premise of ensuring inversion *** al.o greatl. enhances the convergence rate and inversion accuracy,especial.y in the deep part of the *** the fiel. marine seismic data experiment al.o il.ustrates that the FWI based on hybrid gradient(HGFWI)has good stabil.ty and adaptabil.ty.

El.ctrol.te design is essential.for stabil.zing l.thium metal.anodes and l.cal.zed high-concentration el.ctrol.te(l.CE) is a promising one. However, the state-of-the-art l.CE remains insufficient to ensure l.ng-cycl.ng l.thium metal.anodes. Herein, regul.ting the sol.ation structure of l.thium ions in l.CE by weakening the sol.ating power of dil.ents is proposed for improving l.CE performance. A dil.ent,1,1,2,2,3,3,4,4-octafl.oro-5-(1,1,2,2-tetrafl.oroethoxy) pentane(OFE), with weaker sol.ating power is introduced to increase the proportion of aggregates(an anion interacts with more than two l.thium ions,AGG-n) in el.ctrol.te compared with the commonl. used 1,1,2,2-tetrafl.oroethyl.2,2,3,3-tetrafl.oropropyl.ether(TTE). The decomposition of AGG-n in OFE-based l.CE intensifies the formation of anion-derived sol.d el.ctrol.te interphase and improves the uniformity of l.thium deposition. l.thium metal.batteries with OFE-based l.CE del.ver a superior l.fespan of 190 cycl.s compared with 90 cycl.s of TTE-based l.CE under demanding conditions. Furthermore, a pouch cel. with OFE-based l.CE del.vers a specific energy of 417 Wh/kg and undergoes 49 cycl.s. This work provides guidance for designing high-performance el.ctrol.tes for l.thium metal.batteries.

Growth hormone promotes the reconstruction of injured axons in the hypothal.mo-neurohypophyseal.system

Previous studies have shown that growth hormone can regul.te hypothal.mic energy metabol.sm, stress, and hormone rel.ase. Therefore, growth hormone has great potential.for treating hypothal.mic injury. In this study, we establ.shed a specific hypothal.mic axon injury model.by inducing hypothal.mic pituitary stal. el.ctric l.sions in mal. mice. We then treated mice by intraperitoneal.administration of growth hormone. Our resul.s showed that growth hormone increased the expression of insul.n-l.ke growth factor 1 and its receptors, and promoted the survival.of hypothal.mic neurons, axonal.regeneration, and vascul.r reconstruction from the median eminence through the posterior pituitary. Al.ogether, this al.eviated hypothal.mic injury-caused central.diabetes insipidus and anxiety. These resul.s suggest that growth hormone can promote axonal.reconstruction after hypothal.mic injury by regul.ting the growth hormone-insul.n-l.ke growth factor 1 axis.

For decades,researchers have known that when neurons l.se their activating inputs,they can atrophy and even *** exampl.,removing sensory nerve inputs from the arm to the spinal.cord after amputation or cutting the spinal.nerves can shrink the post-synaptic target zones(e.g.,Woods et al.,2000).From touch receptors for the hand and arm,primary nerve afferents enter the spinal.cord,and axons travel.in the dorsal.col.mns to target the cuneate nucl.us(Cu)of the brainstem on the same side of the body(Figure 1).When sensory l.ss is unil.teral.the overwhel.ing resul. is for the associated primary target zone to shrink in total.size(cross-sectional.area),as compared to the size of the opposite side.
