Transcriptome Analysis of Heterosis in Survival in the Hybrid Progenies of‘Haida No.1’and Orange-Shelled lines of the Pacific Oyster Crassostrea gigas

Heterosis has been exploited to enhance the yield and adaptability in various shellfish species;however,the molecular basis of it remains *** Pacific oyster Crassostrea gigas is one of the most economically important aquaculture species,and its productive traits can be improved by ***,an intraspecific cross between orange shell(O,10th generation)and‘Haida No.1’(H,13th generation)of *** was performed to assess the heterosis of survival *** rates of hybrid family(OH)and inbred families(HH and OO)were compared at larval stage,and eyed-pediveliger larvae of three families were subjected to transcriptome *** analysis results of best-parent heterosis and mid-parent heterosis showed that the hybrid family exhi-bited a high heterosis in survival relative to the parental *** OH-M(OH ***)and OH-P(OH ***)had 425 and 512 dif-ferentially expressed genes(DEgs),*** enrichment analysis of these DEgs revealed that the significantly enrich-ed genes function in virion binding,C-type lectin receptor signaling pathway,cellular defense response and other immune-related pro-cesses,which involves perlucin-like protein,CD209 antigen-like protein,ZNFX1,caspase-3 and acan *** differentially ex-pressed genes in OH-M and OH-P,together with the immune-related processes mentioned above may play an important role in the larval survival of *** addition,three genes(CYP450,fucolectin and perlucin-like)are associated with the orange shell and low survival of maternal oyster *** findings provide support for the application of hybrid with superior survival and will facilitate the understanding of heterosis formation in the Pacific oyster.

Constructing a functional hybrid coating appears to be a promising strategy for addressing the poor corrosion resistance and insufficient endothelialization of Mg-based ***,the steps for preparing composite coatings are usually complicated and ***,a novel composite coating,composed of bioactive magnesium thioctic acid(MTA)layer formed by deposition and corrosion-resistant magnesium hydroxide(Mg(OH)_(2))layer grown in situ,is simply fabricated on ZE21B alloys via one-step *** electron microscopy(SEM)shows that the electrodeposited coating has a compact and uniform *** the high adhesion of the MTA/Mg(OH)_(2)hybrid coating is also confirmed by the micro-scratch *** test,scanning kelvin probe(SKP),and hydrogen evolution measurement indicate that the hybrid coating effectively reduces the degradation rate of Mg *** experiment and cell culture trial detect that the composite coating is of fine ***,the preparation mechanism of MTA/Mg(OH)_(2)hybrid coatings is discussed and *** coating shows a great potential application for cardiovascular stents.

Single-particle spectroscopies of p-wave and d-wave interacting Bose gases in normal phase

Motivated by experiments with interacting quantum gases across high partial wave resonance,we investigate the thermodynamic properties and single-particle spectra of Bose gases in normal phase for different interaction strengths for both p-and d-wave *** equation of state,contact density,momentum distributions and self-energies of single-particle green’s functions are obtained in the spirit of ladder diagram *** radio-frequency(RF)spectrum,as an important experimental approach for detecting Feshbach molecules or the interaction effect,is calculated at different temperatures.A reversed temperature dependence on the Bose–Einstein condensation side and Bardeen–Cooper–Schrieffer side is identified for both p-and d-wave *** estimate for the signal of RF spectra under typical experimental conditions is also provided.

A fast forward computational method for nuclear measurement using volumetric detection constraints

Owing to the complex lithology of unconventional reservoirs,field interpreters usually need to provide a basis for interpretation using logging simulation *** the various detection tools that use nuclear sources,the detector response can reflect various types of information of the *** Monte Carlo method is one of the primary methods used to obtain nuclear detection responses in complex ***,this requires a computational process with extensive random sampling,consumes considerable resources,and does not provide real-time response ***,a novel fast forward computational method(FFCM)for nuclear measurement that uses volumetric detection constraints to rapidly calculate the detector response in various complex environments is ***,the data library required for the FFCM is built by collecting the detection volume,detector counts,and flux sensitivity functions through a Monte Carlo ***,based on perturbation theory and the Rytov approximation,a model for the detector response is derived using the flux sensitivity function method and a one-group diffusion *** environmental perturbation is constrained to optimize the model according to the tool structure and the impact of the formation and borehole within the effective detection ***,the method is applied to a neutron porosity tool for *** various complex simulation environments,the maximum relative error between the calculated porosity results of Monte Carlo and FFCM was 6.80%,with a rootmean-square error of 0.62 *** field well applications,the formation porosity model obtained using FFCM was in good agreement with the model obtained by interpreters,which demonstrates the validity and accuracy of the proposed method.

Lymphatic metastasis is the main metastatic route for colorectal cancer, which increases the risk of cancer recurrence and distant metastasis. The properties of the lymph node metastatic colorectal cancer(LNM-CRC) cells are poorly understood, and effective therapies are still lacking. Here, we found that hypoxia-induced fibroblast activation protein alpha(FAPα) expression in LNM-CRC cells. gain-or loss-function experiments demonstrated that FAPα enhanced tumor cell migration, invasion, epithelial-mesenchymal transition, stemness, and lymphangiogenesis via activation of the STAT3 pathway. In addition, FAPα in tumor cells induced extracellular matrix remodeling and established an immunosuppressive environment via recruiting regulatory T cells, to promote colorectal cancer lymph node metastasis(CRCLNM). Z-gP-DAVLBH, a FAPα-activated prodrug, inhibited CRCLNM by targeting FAPα-positive LNM-CRC cells. Our study highlights the role of FAPα in tumor cells in CRCLNM and provides a potential therapeutic target and promising strategy for CRCLNM.

Application of neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy and neoadjuvant chemotherapy in curative surgery for esophageal cancer:A metaanalysis

BACKgROUND The effectiveness of neoadjuvant therapy in esophageal cancer(EC)treatment is still a subject of *** To compare the clinical efficacy and toxic side effects between neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy(nCRT)and neoadjuvant chemotherapy(nCT)for locally advanced EC(LAEC).METHODS A comprehensive search was conducted using multiple databases,including PubMed,EMBASE,MEDlinE,Science Direct,The Cochrane Library,China National Knowledge Infrastructure,wanfang Database,Chinese Science and Technology Journal Database,and Chinese Biomedical Literature Database *** up to December 2022 comparing nCRT and nCT in patients with EC were *** The analysis revealed significant differences between nCRT and nCT in terms of disease-free *** results indicated that nCRT provided better outcomes in terms of the 3-year overall survival rate(OSR)[odds ratio(OR)=0.95],complete response rate(OR=3.15),and R0 clearance rate(CR)(OR=2.25).However,nCT demonstrated a better 5-year OSR(OR=1.02)than ***,when compared to nCRT,nCT showed reduced risks of cardiac complications(OR=1.15)and pulmonary complications(OR=1.30).CONCLUSION Overall,both nCRT and nCT were effective in terms of survival outcomes for ***,nCT exhibited better performance in terms of postoperative complications.

Added value of ratio of cross diameters of the appendix in ultrasound diagnosis of acute appendicitis

Slip rate and interseismic coupling along the Moxi-Shimian segment of the Xianshuihe fault, Eastern qinghai-Xizang Plateau

On September 5,2022,the Luding M6.8 earthquake occurred in the Moxi-Shimian segment of the Xianshuihe fault,coinciding with the historical ruptured zone of the 1786 Moxi *** seis-mogenic environment provides a foundation for comprehending the mechanism of the earthquake and its future *** the Moxi-Shimian segment,we establish a series of near-field global Navigation Satellite Systems(gNsS)stations to enhance the spatial resolution of observational data for the inversion of the interseismic kinematic *** this study,with an elastic screw dislocation model con-strained by gNsS observations,the slip rate of the Moxi-Shimian segment is estimated to be 10.9±1.0 mm/yr,while the locking depth is 15.7±6.2 ***,we utilize a block-dislocation model to invert the interseismic fault coupling along the Kangding-Moxi-Shimian *** result indicates a gradual deepening of the locking depth along the section from Kangding to *** coseismic rupture of the 2022 event occurred within the high coupling regions in the Kangding-Moxi-Shimian segment,which indicates that the rupture kinematics in this event might be controlled by the interseismic *** seismic moment accumulated within the ruptured zone of the Luding earthquake since 1786 ranges in[1.42-3.40]×10^(19) N-m,which is significantly greater than the seismic moment released during the 2022 *** a result,we infer that the Luding earthquake released only a portion of the accumulated energy within the original rupture zone since 1786,indicating that the 2022 event has not caused a complete rupture in the Moxi-Shimian ***,there remains a substantial seismic hazard in this area.
