Pelvic osteotomy is commonly used to adjust acetabula dysplasia for congenital dislocation of the hip, whereas congenital insensitivity to pain with anhidrosis(CIPA) is a rare hereditary disease that often has the characteristics of joint development deformity and easy fracture. This article reports the case involving a CIPA patient who was surgically treated by Chiari pelvic osteotomy and proximal femoral rotation osteotomy for congenital dislocation of the left hip joint and was provided long-term follow-up for redislocation and bilateral femoral head absorption.

Grafting is a highly useful technique,and its success largely depends on graft union *** this study,we found that root-specific expression of the auxin biosynthetic gene iaaM in tobacco,when used as rootstock,resulted in more rapid callus formation and faster graft ***,overexpression of the auxin-inactivating iaaL gene in rootstocks delayed graft *** observed increased endogenous auxin levels and auxin-responsive DR5::GUS expression in scions of WT/iaaM grafts compared with those found in WT/WT grafts,which suggested that auxin is transported upward from rootstock to scion tissues.A transcriptome analysis showed that auxin enhanced graft union formation through increases in the expression of genes involved in graft healing in both rootstock and scion *** also observed that the ethylene biosynthetic gene ACS1 and the ethylene-responsive gene ERF5 were upregulated in both scions and rootstocks of the WT/iaaM ***,exogenous applications of the ethylene precursor ACC to the junction of WT/WT grafts promoted graft union formation,whereas application of the ethylene biosynthesis inhibitor AVG delayed graft healing in WT/WT grafts,and the observed delay was less pronounced in the WT/iaaM *** results demonstrated that elevated auxin levels in the iaaM rootstock in combination with the increased auxin levels in scions caused by upward transport/diffusion enhanced graft union formation and that ethylene was partially responsible for the effects of auxin on *** findings showed that grafting success can be enhanced by increasing the auxin levels in rootstocks using transgenic or gene-editing techniques.

Objective To investigate the changes in the cytokine profiles of chronic hepatitis B(CHB)patients undergoing antiviral *** Hepatitis B e antigen(HBeAg)-positive patients were treated with Pegylated interferon(PEGIFN)and entecavir(ETV).Clinical biochemistry and cytokines were detected at baseline and every 3 *** In all,200 patients completed 48 weeks of treatment,100 in the PEG-IFN group and 100 in the ETV *** 3–6 months of treatment,compared with baseline,the PEG-IFN group showed a significant decrease in interferon-gamma(IFN-γ),interleukin-17 A(IL-17 A),interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-10(IL-10),and transforming growth factor beta(TGF-β)(P<0.001)and a significant increase in interferon-alpha 2(IFN-α2)(P<0.001).In the ETV group,IL-10 and TGF-β1 decreased significantly(P<0.001).After 3 months,the levels of IFN-α2,IL-17 A,and tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α)in the PEGIFN group were significantly higher than those in the ETV group(P<0.01).The levels of IL-6 and TGF-β3 were significantly lower than those in the ETV group(P<0.01).After 6 months,the levels of IFN-α2,IFN-γ,and TNF-αin the PEG-IFN group were significantly higher than those in the ETV group(P<0.01),while the levels of IL-6 and TGF-β3 were significantly lower than those in the ETV group(P<0.01).Compared with ETV,PEG-IFN had higher HBeAg and HBsAg disappearance *** During antiviral therapy,a change in the cytokine profile occurred;in the aspect of immune control and functional cure,PEG-IFN was significantly better than ETV.

Antibiotic resistance genes comprising antibiotic resistome are of great concern due to their increase in the *** evidence of shared resistomes between soils and animal husbandry has imposed potential risks to human ***,the correlation between a given community’s resistome and bacterial taxonomic composition is ***,a transmission chain of resistomes from swine manure to compost and compost-amended soil were analyzed in five suburban areas of Beijing,China,with unamended agricultural soils as control *** resistomes and bacterial taxonomic compositions were distinct between(I)manure and compost;and(II)compost-amended and control *** manure,compost,and compost-amended soils,theβ-diversity of the resistome and bacterial taxonomic composition was significantly correlated,while no correlation was detected in control *** taxonomic composition explained 36.0%of total variations of the resistome composition,much higher than environmental ***,those results demonstrated that antibiotic resistome was closely related to bacterial taxonomic composition along the suburban transmission chain.

More than 20 genes have been identified causing KS either alone or in combination.

***,the former editor of JAMA,elucidated many social responsibilities for medical journal editing as early as 1987[1].During the pandemic,a medical journal should highlight its social responsibilities in publishing high-qual-ity contents,promoting education to the health care pro-viders and providing readers with the timely and accurate information[1].At the time of this editorial published,the global cases of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)had surpassed 85 *** pandemic and its resulting eco-nomic,health,and educational disruptions have affected all aspects of the youth's lives[2].Quarantine and social isola-tion,increased risks of child abuse and neglect,financially and psychologically stressed family members have led to negative mental outcomes in children and adolescents.

Economic feasibility is crucial for achieving the carbon neutrality target. However, current integrated assessments often underestimate the economic impacts of mitigation policies due to the lack of consideration of their economic benefits. This study integrates a warming-labour productivity model with a typical integrated assessment model using shared socioeconomic pathways. It simulates China's economic development and carbon emission levels under both baseline and carbon-neutral policy scenarios, evaluating the economic costs and benefits of emission reduction policies aimed at achieving carbon neutrality. These findings reveal the following:(1) The economic costs of emission reduction policies are projected to peak between 2050 and 2060, ranging from 0.41% to 9.37% of total GDP in the baseline scenario, primarily due to increased energy prices and R&D investments. These costs are expected to decline rapidly after 2070.(2) China's carbon-neutral policies will mitigate global warming, with the economic benefits of mitigation projected to reach 5.65% to 17.24% of China's total GDP by 2100.(3) Lowcarbon scenarios SSP1 and SSP4 could significantly reduce initial economic costs and advance the onset of net economic gains to 2060. This integrated assessment confirms that China's carbon neutrality target offers substantial net economic benefits in the long term. To minimize initial economic costs, efforts should focus on enhancing consumption-side transitions, upgrading lowcarbon technologies, and adopting new energy sources.

Objective： To investigate the pro-angiogenic effects of paeoniflorin（PF） in a vascular insufficiency model of zebrafish and in human umbilical vein endothelial cells（HUVECs）. Methods： In vivo, the pro-angiogenic effects of PF were tested in a vascular insufficiency model in the Tg（fli-1：EGFP）y1 transgenic zebrafish. The 24 h post fertilization（hpf） embryos were pretreated with vascular endothelial growth factor（VEGF） receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor Ⅱ（VRI） for 3 h to establish the vascular insufficiency model and then post-treated with PF for 24 h. The formation of intersegmental vessels（ISVs） was observed with a fluorescence microscope. The m RNA expression of fms-like tyrosine kinase-1（flt-1）, kinase insert domain receptor（kdr）, kinase insert domain receptor like（kdrl） and von Willebrand factor（v WF） were analyzed by real-time polymerase chain reaction（PCR）. In vitro, the pro-angiogenic effects of PF were observed in HUVECs in which cell proliferation, migration and tube formation were assessed. Results： PF（6.25–100 μmol/L） could rescue VRI-induced blood vessel loss in zebrafish and PF（25–100 μmol/L）, thereby restoring the m RNA expressions of flt-1, kdr, kdrl and v WF, which were down-regulated by VRI treatment. In addition, PF（0.001–0.03 μmol/L） could promote the proliferation of HUVECs while PF stimulated HUVECs migration at 1.0–10 μmol/L and tube formation at 0.3 μmol/L. Conclusion： PF could promote angiogenesis in a vascular insufficiency model of zebrafish in vivo and in HUVECs in vitro.
