Black phosphorus with a superior theoretical capacity(2596 mAh g^(-1))and high conductivity is regarded as one of the powerful candidates for lithium-ion battery(LIB)anode materials,whereas the severe volume expansion and sluggish kinetics still impede its applications in *** contrast,the exfoliated two-dimensional phosphorene owns negligible volume variation,and its intrinsic piezoelectricity is considered to be beneficial to the Li-ion transfer kinetics,while its positive influence has not been discussed ***,a phosphorene/MXene heterostructure-textured nanopiezocomposite is proposed with even phosphorene distribution and enhanced piezo-electrochemical coupling as an applicable free-standing asymmetric membrane electrode beyond the skin effect for enhanced Li-ion *** experimental and simulation analysis reveals that the embedded phosphorene nanosheets not only provide abundant active sites for Li-ions,but also endow the nanocomposite with favorable piezoelectricity,thus promoting the Li-ion transfer kinetics by generating the piezoelectric field serving as an extra *** waltzing with the MXene framework,the optimized electrode exhibits enhanced kinetics and stability,achieving stable cycling performances for 1,000 cycles at 2 A g^(-1),and delivering a high reversible capacity of 524 m Ah g^(-1)at-20℃,indicating the positive influence of the structural merits of self-assembled nanopiezocomposites on promoting stability and kinetics.

TOPK Inhibition Enhances the Sensitivity of Colorectal Cancer Cells to Radiotherapy by Reducing the DNA Damage Response

Objective Abnormal expression of T-lymphokine-activated killer cell-originated protein kinase(TOPK)was reported to be closely related to the resistance of prostate cancer to radiotherapy and to targeted drug resistance in lung ***,the role of TOPK inhibition in enhancing radiosensitivity of colorectal cancer(CRC)cells is *** study aimed to evaluate the radiosensitization of TOPK knockdown in CRC *** The expression of TOPK was detected in CRC tissues by immunohistochemistry,and the effect of TOPK knockdown was detected in CRC cells by Western ***-8 and clonogenic assays were used to detect the growth and clonogenic ability of CRC cells after TOPK knockdown combined with radiotherapy in CRC ***,proteomic analysis showed that the phosphorylation of TOPK downstream proteins changed after *** damage was detected by the comet *** in the DNA damage response signaling pathway were analyzed by Western blotting,and apoptosis was detected by flow *** The expression of TOPK was significantly greater in CRC tissues at grades 2–4 than in those at grade *** irradiation,CRC cells with genetically silenced TOPK had shorter comet tails and reduced expression levels of DNA damage response-associated proteins,including phospho-cyclin-dependent kinase 1(p-CDK1),phospho-ataxia telangiectasia-mutated(p-ATM),poly ADP-ribose polymerase(PARP),and meiotic recombination 11 homolog 1(MRE11).Conclusions TOPK was overexpressed in patients with moderately to poorly differentiated ***,TOPK knockdown significantly enhanced the radiosensitivity of CRC cells by reducing the DNA damage response.

Background:The effects of acupuncture have varied in different randomized controlled trials(RCTs),and there are many factors that influence treatment effect of acupuncture in different outcomes,with conflicting ***:To identify factors and their impact on the treatment effect of acupuncture in different ***:Acupuncture RCTs were searched from 7 databases including Medline(Pub Med),Embase,Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials,China National Knowledge Infrastructure,Wanfang Database,VIP Database,and China Biology Medicine disc between January 1st,2015 and December 31st,*** studies must compare acupuncture to no acupuncture,sham acupuncture,or waiting lists,and report at least 1patient-important outcome.A multi-level meta-regression was conducted using a 3-level robust mixed model and univariate analyses were performed for all independent variables,even those excluded from the multivariable model due to *** used thresholds of 0.2 and 0.4 for the difference of standardized mean differences(SMDs),categorising them as small(0.4) ***:The pain construct analysis involved 211 effect estimates from 153 studies and 14 independent ***-frequency acupuncture treatment sessions produced larger effects compared to low-frequency sessions [large magnitude,the difference of adjusted SMDs 0.46,95% confidence interval(CI) 0.07 to 0.84;P=0.02].The non-pain symptoms construct analysis comprised 323 effect estimates from 231 studies and 15 independent *** acupuncture showed moderately larger effects when compared to non-penetrating acupuncture(0.30,95% CI 0.06 to 0.53;P=0.01).The function construct analysis included 495 effect estimates from 274 studies and 14 independent *** acupuncture and the flexible acupuncture regimen showed moderately larger effects,compared to non-penetrating acupuncture and fixed regimen,respectively(0.40,95% CI 0

A new two-step variational model for multiplicative noise removal with applications to texture images

Multiplicative noise removal problems have attracted much attention in recent *** additive noise,multiplicative noise destroys almost all information of the original image,especially for texture *** by the TV-Stokes model,we propose a new two-step variational model to denoise the texture images corrupted by multiplicative noise with a good geometry explanation in this *** the first step,we convert the multiplicative denoising problem into an additive one by the logarithm transform and propagate the isophote directions in the tangential field *** the isophote directions are constructed,an image is restored to fit the constructed directions in the second *** existence and uniqueness of the solution to the variational problems are *** these two steps,we use the gradient descent method and construct finite difference schemes to solve the ***,the augmented Lagrangian method and the fast Fourier transform are adopted to accelerate the *** results show that the proposed model can remove the multiplicative noise efficiently and protect the texture well.

Early postoperative complications after transverse colostomy closure,a retrospective study

BACKGROUND Ostomy is a common surgery usually performed to protect patients from clinical symptoms caused by distal anastomotic leakage after colorectal cancer(CRC)surgery and perforation or to relieve intestinal *** To analyze the complications after transverse colostomy *** Patients who underwent transverse colostomy closure from Jan 2015 to Jan 2022 were retrospectively enrolled in a single clinical *** differences between the complication group and the no complication group were *** regression analyses were conducted to find independent factors for overall complications or incision *** A total of 102 patients who underwent transverse colostomy closure were enrolled in the current ***(68.6%)patients underwent transverse colostomy because of CRC related *** complications occurred in 30(29.4%)patients and the most frequent complication occurring after transverse colostomy closure was incision infection(46.7%).The complication group had longer hospital stays(Pquent complication occurring after transverse colostomy closure surgery in our center was incision *** operation time,interval from transverse colostomy to reversal,and method of anastomosis might have no impact on the postoperative *** should pay more attention to aseptic techniques.

Synergistic improvement of strength and ductility via doping cerium into PH13-8Mo stainless steel by laser powder b e d fusion

In this study,the PH13-8Mo stainless steel parts doped without and with cerium(Ce)were fabricated via laser powder bed fusion followed by post-heat treatment,and systematically compared in terms of microstructure,phase constituent,and tensile *** comparative results show that doping Ce-modified grains with the equiaxed morphology and finer size,increased the mechanical stability of austenite,and enhanced the sphericity of oxide inclusion in the resultant ***,the coherency between the newly-formed CeAlO 3 inclusion and matrix was effectively im proved after doping Ce,as compared to the original aluminum oxide inclusion without doping *** resultant PH13-8Mo parts doped with Ce yielded an ultimate tensile strength of 1446±20 MPa with a fracture elongation of 16.0%±1.5%,for the first time meeting the AMS 5629E H1000 standard for the PH13-8Mo made by additive manufacturing(AM).The enhanced strength results from the strengthening effects of nanoscale precipitation(inclusion)and grain ***,the ductilizing mechanism can be attributed to the enhanced inclusion sphericity and ameliorative coherency between the inclusion and matrix,and improved misorientation angle of grain boundary owing to the modification by Ce,which efficiently re-duced the stress concentration and enhanced cracking resistance during ***,doping rare earth elements presents a promising pathway to synergistically improve the strength and ductility of stainless steels by AM.

Royal jelly modulates serum lipid metabolism and improves brain lipid profiles in natural aging mice

Royal jelly (RJ) is rich in various nutrients with multiple health-promoting properties. This study aims to evaluate whether RJ can modulate related metabolite in the natural aging mice. Male C57BL/6J mice drank RJ solution daily for 9 months. Determination of serum lipids and pathological analysis exhibited that triglycerides (TG)， serum cholesterol (TC)， and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) were decreased by 31.15%， 9.96%， and 22.58%， respectively， the morphology of brain nerve cells was also effectively recovered after RJ intervention. Lipidomic analysis showed that RJ could improve the levels of different kinds of lipids in aging mice brain， especially by increasing the content of antioxidant ether ester， and that the ratio of monounsaturated fatty acid (MUFA) to polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) was up by 23.46%， which could alleviate oxidative stress. Moreover， the metabolism of glycerol phospholipids， glycerols， and fatty acids in aging mice could be regulated by RJ. RJ intervention can effectively improve lipid metabolism disorders caused by aging.

Named Entity Recognition(NER)stands as a fundamental task within the field of biomedical text mining,aiming to extract specific types of entities such as genes,proteins,and diseases from complex biomedical texts and categorize them into predefined entity *** process can provide basic support for the automatic construction of knowledge *** contrast to general texts,biomedical texts frequently contain numerous nested entities and local dependencies among these entities,presenting significant challenges to prevailing NER *** address these issues,we propose a novel Chinese nested biomedical NER model based on RoBERTa and Global Pointer(RoBGP).Our model initially utilizes the RoBERTa-wwm-ext-large pretrained language model to dynamically generate word-level initial *** then incorporates a Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory network for capturing bidirectional semantic information,effectively addressing the issue of long-distance ***,the Global Pointer model is employed to comprehensively recognize all nested entities in the *** conduct extensive experiments on the Chinese medical dataset CMeEE and the results demonstrate the superior performance of RoBGP over several baseline *** research confirms the effectiveness of RoBGP in Chinese biomedical NER,providing reliable technical support for biomedical information extraction and knowledge base construction.
