LaMnO_(3) modified Co_(3)O_(4) nanocomposites were prepared by simple hydrothermal method co mbined with sol-gel *** gas sensitivity properties of pure Co_(3)O_(4) and LaMnO_(3)/Co_(3)O_(4) with different composite proportions are *** is found that 0.6-LMO/Co_(3)O_(4) sensor has higher sensitivity to triethylamine(TEA)than pure Co_(3)O_(4) sensor,which is improved by 9.27 *** the working temperature is reduced from 150 to 130℃.Besides,it has excellent gas selectivity and *** improvement of the gas sensitivity of LaMnO_(3)/Co_(3)O_(4) sensor may be due to the fact that LaMnO_(3) is an effective catalyst,and the catalytic performance perhaps is beneficial to improving the sensing *** addition,the formation of p-p heterojunctions may be the key factor to improve the gas sensing *** work provides a new Co_(3)O_(4)-based gas sensing material for the detection of TEA.

The reliability of the coated industry components demands ideal fatigue properties of the coating,and it is mainly determined by the performance of the *** this study,pulsed magnetic treatment(PMT)was applied to the thermal sprayed WC-10Co4Cr coating,and the fatigue lifetime of the coated bolt increased by 219.82%under an imitation of the operating mode *** tests further proved that both the adhesion and cohesion strength were improved after PMT,and they benefit from the interface strengthening *** formation of coherent WC/Co interfaces was characterized by in-situ transmission electron microscopy(TEM),and the molecular dynamic simulations indicate that the work of separation of these interfaces is much higher than the original disordered *** stress was relaxed and distributed more homogeneously after PMT,and it mainly contributes to the coating/substrate *** work provides a new post-treatment method focusing on the interfaces in the WC-based coating and gives insight into its mechanism so that it is hopeful to be applied to other kinds of coatings.

Photofragmentation study of metal fullerides C60Mx (M=Sm, Pt, Ni and Rh) by excimer laser ablation-TOF mass spectrometry shows that metallofullerenes C2nM and C2n+1M formed in both the positive and negative ionic modes. The isotopic distributions of the metallofullerenes C2nM and C2n+1M are consistent with the calculated spectra based on the natural abundance of isotopes of C and M, confirming the formation of metallofullerenes. The metal atom is sup-posed to be incorporated into the network of the fullerene cage to replace one carbon atom of the cage forming substi-tutional metallofullerene. Odd-numbered high carbon clusters are observed in our laser ablation study of all the metal fullerides in the negative ion channel. Evolution of mass spectrum with irradiation laser shots shows that the formation of the substitutionally doped fullerenes is closely related to the production of metal carbide (MC). Indium selenide(InSe),as a wide-bandgap semiconductor,has received extensive attention in the flexible electronics field in recent years due to its exceptional plasticity and promising thermoelectric ***,the low carrier concentration severely limits its thermoelectric performance *** this work,we conducted contrasting strategies that can be employed to increase the carrier concentration of InSe,including bandgap narrowing and heterovalent ***,the carrier concentration initially increases as a result of the reduced bandgap upon Te alloying and then slightly decreases due to the weak electronegativity of *** Br doping realizes high carrier concentration by pushing the Fermi level into the conduction bands and activating the multiple *** the other hand,both Te and Br obviously suppress the thermal conductivity due to the point defect *** contrast,Br doping realizes a higher thermoelectric performance with a maximum ZT of~0.13 at 773 K benefiting from the better optimization of carrier *** work elucidates the strategies for enhancing carrier concentration at anion sites and demonstrates the high efficiency of halogen doping in ***,the carrier concentration of InSe is promising to be further optimized,and future work should focus on employing approaches such as cation doping or secondphase compositing.

Highly transparent anti-reflection coating enhances the underwater efficiency and stability of perovskite solar modules

Perovskite solar cells have shown great potential in the field of underwater solar cells due to their excellent optoelectronic properties;however,their underwater performance and stability still hinder their practical *** this research,a 1H,1H,2H,2H-heptadecafluorodecyl acrylate(HFDA)anti-reflection coating(ARC)was introduced as a high-transparent material for encapsulating perovskite solar modules(PSMs).Optical characterization results revealed that HFDA can effectively reduce reflection of light below 800 nm,aiding in the absorption of light within this wavelength range by underwater solar ***,a remarkable efficiency of 14.65%was achieved even at a water depth of 50 ***,the concentration of Pb^(2+)for HFDA-encapsulated film is significantly reduced from 186 to 16.5 ppb after being immersed in water for 347 ***,the encapsulated PSMs still remained above 80%of their initial efficiency after continuous underwater illumination for 400 ***,being exposed to air,the encapsulated PSMs maintained 94%of their original efficiency after 1000 h light *** highly transparent ARC shows great potentials in enhancing the stability of perovskite devices,applicable not only to underwater cells but also extendable to land-based photovoltaic devices.

Elevating mechanical and biotribological properties of carbon fiber composites by constructing graphene-silicon nitride nanowires interlocking interfacial enhancement

Carbon fiber reinforced dual-matrix composites(CHM)including carbon fiber reinforced hydroxyapatite-polymer matrix composites(CHMP)and carbon fiber reinforced hydroxyapatite-pyrolytic carbon matrix composites(CHMC)have great potential application in the field of artificial hip joints,where a combination of high mechanical strength and excellent biotribological property are *** this work,the graphene-silicon nitride nanowires(Graphene-Si_(3)N_(4)nws)interlocking interfacial enhancement were designed and constructed into CHM for boosting the mechanical and biotribological *** graphene and Si_(3)N_(4)nws interact with each other and construct interlocking interfacial *** from the Graphene-Si_(3)N_(4)nws synergistic effect and interlocking enhancement mechanism,the mechanical and biotribological properties of CHM were *** with CHMP,the shear and compressive strengths of Graphene-Si_(3)N_(4)nws reinforced CHMP were increased by 80.0% and 61.5%,*** friction coefficient and wear rate were reduced by 52.8% and 52.9%,*** with CHMC,the shear and compressive strengths of Graphene-Si_(3)N_(4)nws reinforced CHMC were increased by 145.4% and 64.2%.The friction coefficient and wear rate were decreased by 52.3% and 73.6%.Our work provides a promising methodology for preparing Graphene-Si_(3)N_(4)nws reinforced CHM with more reliable mechanical and biotribological properties for use in artificial hip joints.

Effect of tungsten carbide particles on microstructure and mechanical properties of Cu alloy composite bit matrix

Copper alloy composite bit matrix was prepared by pressureless vacuum infiltration,using at least one of the three kinds of tungsten carbide particles,for example,irregular cast tungsten carbide,monocrystalline tungsten carbide and sintered reduced tungsten carbide *** effects of powder particle morphology,particle size and mass fraction of tungsten carbide on the microstructure and mechanical properties of copper alloy composite were investigated by means of scanning electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction and abrasive wear test in *** results show that tungsten carbide morphology and particle size have obvious effects on the mechanical properties of copper alloy *** tungsten carbide partially dissolved in the copper alloy binding phase,and layers of Cu_(0.3)W_(0.5)Ni_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)C phase with a thickness of around 8–15μm were formed on the edge of the cast tungsten *** 45%irregular crushed fine cast tungsten carbide and 15%monocrystalline cast tungsten carbide were used as the skeleton,satisfactory comprehensive performance of the reinforced copper alloy composite bit matrix was obtained,with the bending strength,impact toughness and hardness reaching 1048 MPa,4.95 J/cm^(2) and 43.6 HRC,*** main wear mechanism was that the tungsten carbide particles firstly protruded from the friction surface after the copper alloy matrix was worn,and then peeled off from the matrix when further wear occurred.

The oxygen octahedral rotation(OOR)forms fundamental atomic distortions and symmetries in perovskite oxides and definitely determines their properties and ***,epitaxial strain and interfacial structural coupling engineering have been developed to modulate the OOR patterns and explore novel properties,but it is difficult to distinguish the 2 ***,different symmetries are induced in Na_(0.5)Bi_(0.5)TiO_(3)(NBT)epitaxial films by interfacial oxygen octahedral coupling rather than epitaxial *** NBT film grown on the Nb:SrTiO_(3)substrate exhibits a paraelectric tetragonal phase,while with La_(0.5)Sr_(0.5)MnO_(3)as a buffer layer,a monoclinic phase and robust ferroelectricity are obtained,with a remanent polarization of 42μC cm^(-2)and a breakdown strength of 7.89 MV cm^(-1),which are the highest record among NBT-based ***,the interfacial oxygen octahedral coupling effect is demonstrated to propagate to the entire thickness of the film,suggesting an intriguing long-range *** work provides a deep insight into understanding the structure modulation in perovskite heterostructures and an important avenue for achieving unique functionalities.
