Group living provides various advantages to individuals in regards to protection avoidance,intergroup competition,productive success and social *** one-male units(OMUs)consist of relationships between the adult females and the resident male as well as the relationships among adult *** on continuous observation of a reproductive group of golden snub-nosed monkeys(Rhinopithecus roxellana)in the qinling Mountains,we analyzed the relationships among adult individual dyads within 4 *** results indicated that in golden snub-nosed monkey societies,females not only had no strong tendency to build a relationship with the resident male in the OMU but also had no strong tendency to build relationships with other females in the *** comparison with hamadryas(Papio hamadryas)and gelada baboons(Theropithecus gelada),the relationships within golden snub-nosed monkeys OMUs showed neither the star-shaped pattern observed in hamadryas baboons nor the net-shaped pattern observed in gelada *** concluded that the relationships within golden snub-nosed monkey OMUs indicated a third pattern in nonhuman primate *** research is required to determine the potential mechanisms for such a pattern.

We studied the responsiveness of the Sichuan snub-nosed monkey Rhinopithecus roxellana, an arboreal Old World monkey, to the presence of novel stimuli associated with familiar food. We also determined differences in responses by age and sex. Results showed that monkeys exhibited neophilia and neophobia simultaneously when facing novel stimuli. Age affected the response to novel stimuli significantly, with immature individuals responding to novel stimuli most frequently and infants least frequently. No significant differences were observed for sex, although females were more responsive to the novel object than were males. Our results support the ＂readiness to eat＂ hypothesis that the presence of a novel object can increase latencies to consume familiar food .

Modern thermal barrier coatings (TBC) are required to not only limit heat transfer through the coating but to also protect engine components from thermal cyclic load and oxidation. Failure mechanism of TBC is important for the safety status of components. To obtain a better understanding of the failure mechanism under thermal cyclic load, a new type of interface elements with three nodes which is based on the idea of interface damage mechanics was proposed. Compared with traditional interface elements, these elements have the quality of indicating the normal direction of interface with arbitrary shape. The modified model was implemented into ABAQUS by user subroutine UEL. The damage and fracture of cosine shape interface were numerical simulated considering the rough interface of the plasma sprayed thermal barrier coating. The calculating results show that, under thermal cycle loadings, the displacement between nodes of the interface elements is not continuous which represents the opening process of the interface crack, the damage increases with the number of thermal cycle loadings and the max damage is caused during the first cycle, the top of the interface is the critical position and the normal separation dominants; under tension loadings, the wavy interface has better capability of load bearing than the linear interface for PS-TBC. Simulation of damage and fracture for different materials with arbitrary interface using the modified interface elements is available, and the results are reasonable.

Molecular studies using trace DNA, such as from museum specimens, ancient or forensic samples and samples obtained noninvasively, often have a common problem of low quality of DNA templates. Amplification errors, such as allelic dropout and false allele, may arise during polymerase chain reaction (PCR) using such samples. A mathematical model which treats homozygotes and heterozygotes discriminately has been developed to measure sample quality and compute the confidence level of using multipletube approaches. We use plucked hair samples collected from 26 individual Sichuan snub-nosed monkeys (Rhinopithecus roxel- lana) to test the model. In this case, a confidence level of 99% can be achieved by three positive PCRs. If the sample quality is very poor and requires many PCR replicates, an alternative multiplestep genotyping method is recommended. This model enables researchers to optimize experimental protocols through pilot studies and obtain reliable genetic information using noninvasive sampling method.

Dominance hierarchy reflects resource competition in male primates as well as *** this study,we collected data on the social rank and mating competition of female Sichuan snub-nosed monkeys from September 2009 to June 2010 in the qinling Mountains,Shaanxi,*** was used to determine social hierarchy of the studied wild females.A total of 1223 displacement bouts between adult females and 316 mating behaviors within one-male units(OMUs) were *** displacement among females was very low(0.22 displacements per observation hour).The dominant ranks of females in target OMUs were determined by displacement,from one OMU to another:JB unit:YL > DBC > YCM >XBC > BD;JZT unit:XHW > JG > DT;PK unit:QQ > TM > HF;LP unit:SK > TH > ***-ranking females performed significantly more sexual behavior than lower-ranking females in this rare ***-ranking females were more likely to win mating contests within those *** on these studies,we assessed the social relationships among adult females and clarified possible explanations for the strategies of female mating competition in the ***,the notion that reproductive success may also be related to female dominance hierarchies in this polygynous species should be considered in future research.

Postconflict behavior among Rhinopithecus roxellana leader males in the qinling Mountains, China

Since reconciliation was first described more than 20 years ago, a large number of postconflict be- haviors have been observed among females in many polygynous primate species. However, few studies have been conducted among males, perhaps due to the rarity with which they maintain friendly relationships with one another and their aggressive competition for resources. Although this is true for many primate males, Sichuan snub-nosed monkeys Rhinopithecus roxellana represent a potential exception as male cooperation has been known to occur. In this study, using postconfiict/ matched-control（PC-MC） and time-rule methods, we analyzed postconflict behavior among males and the possible occurrence of bystander affiliation or reconciliation. A total of 246 PC-MC pairs among leader males were obtained. On average, each leader male exhibited only 0.04 aggressive be- haviors per observation hour, and conciliation among leader males occurred at a low rate （2.03%） relative to other primate species. The occurrence of consolation-affiliation interactions between focal males and group members other than former opponents differed significantly between PCs and MCs, which is the first time this has been confirmed among R. roxellana males. We discuss the results in light of recent theories concerning consolation in primates. The patterns of postconflict contact demonstrated that R. roxellana may be a unique species among colobines.

双馈感应发电机(double fed induction generator,DFIG)作为当前应用最广泛的风力发电机,其特殊的结构设计使其暂态运行特性十分复杂。目前针对DFIG暂态特性的研究,只有少量文章分析了机组的谐波特性,特别是由转子励磁电源产生的机组谐波电流还鲜有文献提及。该文对电压不对称跌落下DFIG转子低频谐波电流的特性进行研究。考虑转子侧变流器的励磁调节对转子谐波的影响,推导转子电流中频率为(2+s)fs的谐波分量解析表达式,分析转子(2+s)fs电流分量的产生机理及其对风机影响,并通过仿真和实验验证分析的正确性。
