The distribution of 0 and 1 is studied in the highest level a e-1of primitive sequences over Z/(2\+e). It is proved that the proportion of 0 (or 1) in one period of a e-1is between 40% and 60% for e≥8.

Boolean functions of an odd number of variables with maximum algebraic immunity

In this paper, we study Boolean functions of an odd number of variables with maximum algebraic immunity. We identify three classes of such functions, and give some necessary conditions of such functions, which help to examine whether a Boolean function of an odd number of variables has the maximum algebraic immunity. Further, some necessary conditions for such functions to have also higher nonlinearity are proposed, and a class of these functions are also obtained. Finally, we present a sufficient and necessary condition for Boolean functions of an odd number of variables to achieve maximum algebraic immunity and to be also 1-resilient.

AUTOCORRELATIONS OF l-SEQUENCES WITH CERTAIN SHIFTS

In this paper, the autocorrelations of maximal period Feedback with Carry Shift Register sequences (l-sequences) are discussed. For an l-sequence a with connection integer q = pe (e ≥ 2)and period T = pe-1(p-1),and for any integer i, 1 ≤ i ≤ e/2,by calculating the number of certain sets, it is shown that the autocorrelation of a with shift τ = kT /2 piis C a( τ ) = (-1 )k -1 T / p2i-1,where 1 ≤ k ≤ 2p i- 1,and gcd(k , 2p i ) = *** result shows there do exist some shifts such that the auto-correlations of l-sequences are high although most autocorrelations are low. Such result also holds for the decimations of l-sequences.
