Based on its excellent tensile strength-ductility property combination,twinning-induced plasticity (TWIp) steel shows great potential in applications for structural components in automobile *** aim of this research is to investigate the corrosion resistance properties and corrosion mechanism under room temperature in TWIp *** influence of the deformation twin density on corrosion property was primarily considered by salt spray *** specimens used in the investigation are as-annealed and as-deformed *** microstructure and corrosion resistance property were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM),optical microscope (OM) and so *** are some annealing twins distributed randomly in austenitic grains in the as-annealed *** the specimen was subjected to tensile experiment,the density of the deformation twins increased sharply,which are different from the annealing twins in size and *** was found that the corrosion potential of the as-annealed is lower than that of the as-deformed and the corrosion current density behaves *** immersed in 5% NaCl solution salt spray for 48h,the as-deformed showed a bit better than the as-annealed in corrosion *** the time prolonged,the gap between the two specimens in corrosion resistance increased *** corrosion morphologies varied in color and *** investigation,carried out by SEM and EDS,indicated that as-annealed and the as-deformed followed pitting corrosion and uniform corrosion mechanism *** reason for the difference in corrosion mechanism is possibly the presence of the deformation *** deformation twins formed during the tensile test refine grains by way of *** twin boundaries largely belong to the coincidence site lattice (CSL),which is on lower energy *** suggests that the twins not only play a role in strengthening,but also improve effectively the corrosion resistance in TWIp steel.

TiC_(x)is an excellent composite strengthening particle and grain refiner for Al ***,the stability of TiC_(x)is poor when solute Si exists in Al alloy melts,which significantly depresses its strengthening and grain refining *** this work,the destabilization mechanisms of the TiC_(x)particles in Al-Si alloy melt with a composition of Al-7Si-7.5TiC were explored via experiments,first-principles calculations and thermodynamic *** experimental results show that Si atoms diffuse into TiC_(x)and Ti atoms are released into the Al melt to form a Ti-rich transition zone during the insulation of TiC_(x)in Al-Si melt,and the TiAlySiz and Al_(4)C_(3)phases are solidified in the Ti-rich zone and at Ti-rich zone/TiC_(x)interface,*** first principles calculations show that the low formation energy of C vacancies facilitates the rapid diffusion of Si atoms in TiC_(x),while the doping of Si atoms reduces the energy barrier of diffusion of Ti atoms in TiC_(x)and promotes the formation of Ti-rich *** thermodynamic calculations show that the wide crystallization temperature range of the destabilized product TiAlySiz phase is the key to continuous decomposition of TiC_(x)*** addition,the driving force of the main destabilization reaction of TiC_(x)in the Al-Si alloys is about 44 times higher than that in the Al alloys without Si *** indicates that the presence of solute Si remarkably promotes the subsequent decomposition process of TiC_(x)in the Al-Si alloy melts.

A 2D full cell thermo-electric model of 160kA drained cell was set up using finiteelement code to calculate its freeze profile, then the drained cell model was modifiedaccording to the freeze profile computed and its heat balance was calculated. Comparedwith that of a 160kA conventional Hall-Heroult cell (H-H cell), though the melts vol-ume of the drained cell reduced greatly, the whole heat loss from it didn't drop downapparently, and an analysis was presented in the paper. On the other hand, the anode-cathode distance (ACD) of a drained cell was much less than that of a H-H cell, sothe voltage drop on it and heat produced decreased too, steps should be taken to keepa workable heat balance on a drained cell.

Titanium dioxide thin films were prepared by low pressure metal organic chemical vapor deposition (Lp-MOCVD) from titanium IV isopropoxide. Nitrogen was used as a carrier gas for the titanium precursor,and oxygen as a reactant gas. The deposition rates of the films have been studied as functions of process parameters such as sabstrate temperature and oxygen flow rote. Structural evolution of the films has been studied as functions of substrate temperature (110 to 700℃) and annealing temperature. The films have been characterized by X-ray dissection and by Raman scattering. Films deposited onto Si(100) substrates were amorphous at 110-250℃, anatase at 350- 550℃ and rutile above 650℃. The films deposited at substrate temperatures less than 550℃ and annealed at 600℃ for two hours were annealed, annealed at 700℃ for two hours were mixtures of anatase and rutile, and annealed at 850℃ for two hours were rutile.

In order to provide reliable data for the dynamic design or modification of a tool machine,the dynamic character- istics of the headstock,which is the main component to bear moment,must be obtained *** the paper,the method based on the combination of calculation mode and experiment mode is proposed to analyze the dynamic characteristics of the *** modal parameters and the mode shapes are calculated by ANSYS7.1 *** to the FEM calculating results,the ex- periment parameters can be selected *** modal parameters of the headstock have to be calculated and identified precisely. On the basis of these modal parameters,the faults of the headstock are shown and its weak points of design are illustrated.A con- clusion is drawn that some reasonable reinforce positions could greatly improve the dynamic characteristics of the system and this ap- proach is proved to be precise and reliable.

In current International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor （ITER） design, the 316LN austenitic stainless steel （316LN SS） is used for first-wall/blanket structures. Thus, it is necessary to study the fundamental mechanical properties and irradiation effect of 316LN SS. A random solid solution model of Fe-Cr-Ni-Mn- Mo-Si alloy is used for describing 310LN S$. Using first-principles approaches, the elastic constants and ideal strength of the alloy were calculated. Such alloy exhibits good ductile behavior according to the theoretical values of Cauchy pressure and ratio of bulk modulus and shear modulus. Within the 256-atom supercell, inclusion of single vacancy defect further enhances the ductility of the alloy, and the existence of interstitial （Fe, H, He） atoms enhances the Young＇s modulus.

Observability analysis(OA)is vital to obtaining the available input measurements of state estimation(SE)in an integrated electricity and heating system(IEHS).Considering the thermal quasi-dynamics in pipelines,the measurement equations in heating systems are dependent on the estimated results,leading to an interdependency between OA and *** OA methods require measurement equations be known exactly before SE is performed,and they are not applicable to *** bridge this gap,a scenario-based OA scheme for IEHSs is devised that yields reliable analysis results for a predefined set of time-delay scenarios to cope with this *** its core procedure,the observable state identification and observability restoration are formulated in terms of integer linear *** tests are conducted to demonstrate the validity and superiority of the proposed formulation.
