In this paper, a general FRW cosmological model has been constructed in f（R, T） gravity reconstruction with variable cosmological constant. A number of solutions to the field equations has been generated by utilizing a form for the Hubble parameter that leads to Berman＇s law of constant deceleration parameter q =m - 1. The possible decelerating and accelerating solutions have been investigated. For （q 〉 0） we get a stable fiat decelerating radiation-dominated universe at q = 1. For （q 〈 0） we get a stable accelerating solution describing a flat universe with positive energy density and negative cosmological constant. Nonconventional mechanisms that are expected to address the late-time acceleration with negative cosmological constant have been discussed.

The mass energy absorption coefficient (len=q), effective atomic number (ZPEAeff ), and electron density (NPEAeff ) of some biomolecules with potential application in radiation dosimetry were calculated for their photon energy absorption (PEA) in the energy region of 1–20 MeV. It was noticed that the values of len=q, ZPEAeff , and NPEAeff vary with the energy and composition of the biomolecules. The results for ZPEAeff were compared with effective atomic numbers (ZPIeff ) owing to the photon interaction (PI). Significant differences were noted between ZPEAeff and ZPIeff in the energy region of 10–150 keV for all of the biomolecules involved. A maximum difference of 45.36% was observed at 50 keV for creatinine hydrochloride. Moreover, the studied attenuation parameters were found to be sharply affected at the K-absorption edge of relatively high-Z elements present in the biomolecules.

This paper presents a continuous-time adaptive control scheme for systems with uncertain non-symmetrical deadzone nonlinearity located at the output of a plant. An adaptive inverse function is developed and used in conjunction with a robust adaptive controller to reduce the effect of deadzone nonlinearity. The deadzone inverse function is also implemented in continuous time, and an adaptive update law is designed to estimate the deadzone parameters. The adaptive output deadzone inverse controller is smoothly differentiable and is combined with a robust adaptive nonlinear controller to ensure robustness and boundedness of all the states of the system as well as the output signal. The mismatch between the ideal deadzone inverse function and our proposed implantation is treated as a disturbance that can be upper bounded by a polynomial in the system states. The overall stability of the closed-loop system is proven by using Lyapunov method, and simulations confirm the efficacy of the control methodology.

AIM To evaluate the evolution, trends in surgical approaches a n d r e c o n s t r u c t i o n t e c h n i q u e s, a n d i m p o r t a n t lessons learned from performing 1000 consecutive pancreaticoduodenectomies(PDs) for periampullary *** This is a retrospective review of the data of all patients who underwent PD for periampullary tumor during the period from January 1993 to April 2017. The data were categorized into three periods, including early period(1993-2002), middle period(2003-2012), and late period(2013-2017).RESULTS The frequency showed PD was increasingly performed after the year 2000. With time, elderly, cirrhotic and obese patients, as well as patients with uncinate process carcinoma and borderline tumor were increasingly selected for PD. The median operative time and postoperative hospital stay decreased significantly over the periods. Hospital mortality declined significantly, from 6.6% to 3.1%. Postoperative complications significantly decreased, from 40% to 27.9%. There was significant decrease in postoperative pancreatic fistula in the second 10 years, from 15% to 12.7%. There was a significant improvement in median survival and overall survival among the *** Surgical results of PD significantly improved, with mortality rate nearly reaching 3%. Pancreatic reconstruction following PD is still debatable. The survival rate was also improved but the rate of recurrence is still high, at 36.9%.

Molecular diagnosis of 5α-reductase-2 gene mutation in two Indian families with male pseudohermaphroditism

Aim： To identify the genotype of two Indians with male pseudohermaphroditism. Methods： Standard radioimmunoassay procedure was used for estimating hormonal levels. Conventional cytogenetic analysis was carded out for diagnosing the genetic sex in these subjects with genital ambiguity. Molecular analysis was carried out by standard polymerase chain reaction procedure using different sets of primers and reaction conditions specific for the 5α- reductase type 2 gene （SRDSA2） gene. Direct sequencing was carried out using the ABI Prism dye terminator sequencing kit and the ABI 310 sequencing apparatus. Results： We found an SRDSA2 gene mutation in exon 5, where arginine is substituted with glutamine （R246q）, in two males with pseudohermaphroditism and ambiguous genitalia from unrelated families. This is the first time this mutation has been reported in individuals from India. Conclusion： Identification of the R246q mutation of the SRDSA2 gene from two unrelated Indian families possibly extends the founder gene effect.

Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disorder of the airways characterized by recurring episodes of reversible airway obstruction, hyper-responsiveness, wheezing, breathlessness and coughing. Clinical diagnosis of asthma is based on the pattern of clinical symptoms and pulmonary fuction tests. Asthma affectes 5% - 10% of the population and the number of worldwide cases is approximately 300 milliones. The incidence of this disease is increasing particulry in western countries [1]. It is the cause of a huge economic burden to national healthcare services. In a minority of cases, asthma is potentially fatal. After a period when fatalities appeared to be increasing [2], in recent years asthma-related mortality has progressively declined due to the develop- ment of specific asthma disease management programs, as well as the extensive use of in- haled corticosteroids [3]. Inflammation of the airways is a central component in asthma. In- flammation is associated with infliltration of the airway wall with eosinophiles and or neutron- philes mast cell degranulation and T cell active- tion. Other pathological features include, sub- basement membrane thickening, loss of epithet- lial cell integrity, goblet cells hyperplasia In- crease in airway smooth muscle mass. Eosino- phils are thought to be vital in the development of airway hyperreactivity, with the eosinophil cationic protein playing a crucial role [4]. The fact that treatment of asthma with corticos-teroids reduces eosinophils numbers and decreases airway reactivity further supports this hypothesis.

Purpose The Large Hadron Collider(LHC)at European Organization for Nuclear Research is planned to be upgraded to the high luminosity *** the luminosity makes muon triggering reliable and ofﬂine reconstruction very *** enhance the redundancy of the Compact Muon Solenoid(CMS)Muon system and resolve the ambiguity of track reconstruction in the forward region,an improved Resistive Plate Chamber(iRPC)with excellent time resolution will be installed in the Phase-2 CMS *** iRPC will be equipped with Front-End Electronics(FEE),which can perform high-precision time measurements of signals from both ends of the *** Back-End Electronics(BEE)need to be researched and developed to provide sophisticated functionalities such as interacting with FEE with shared links for fast,slow control(SC)and data,in addition to trigger primitives(TPs)generation and data acquisition(DAq).Method The BEE prototype uses a homemade hardware board compatible with the MTCA standard,the back-end board(BEB).BEE interacts with FEE via a bidirectional 4.8 Gbps optical paired-link that integrates clock,data,and control *** clock and fast/slow control commands are distributed from BEB to the FEE via the *** uplink is used for BEB to receive the time information of the iRPC’sﬁred strips and the responses to the fast/slow control *** have a pipelined detector data for clusterﬁnding operation,recover(DeMux)the time relationship of which is changed due to the transmission protocol for the continuous incoming MUXed data from *** at each bunch crossing(BX),clusteringﬁred strips that satisfy time and spatial constraints to generate *** incoming raw MUXed detector data and TPs in a time window and latency based on the trigger signal are read out to the DAq *** Ethernet(GbE)of SiTCP and commercial 10-GbE are used as link standards for SC and DAq,respectively,for the BEB to interact with the *** The joint test results of
