The metallurgical quality control of magnesium(Mg)and Mg alloys in melting process is required to ensure a satisfied mechanical and corrosion performance,while the typical used steel crucible introduces impurities and interfacial interaction during melting ***,a systematic study about impurities diffusion and interfacial interaction between molten Mg and steel is *** the present study,the interfacial reaction between molten AZ91D Mg alloy and mild steel during melting process was investigated with the melting temperatures of 700℃,750℃ and 800℃.The results show that Al(Fe,Mn)intermetallic layer is the intermetallic primarily formed at the interfaces of AZ91D melt and mild ***,Al_(8)(Mn,Fe)5is indexed between Al(Fe,Mn)and ***_(3)c appears between the mild steel and Al(Fe,Mn)at 700℃ and 750℃,but absent at 800℃ due to the increased solubility of carbon in Mg *** is found that the growth of the intermetallic layer is controlled by diffusion mechanism,and Al and Mn are the dominant diffusing species in the whole interfacial reaction *** measuring the thickness of different layers,the growth constant was *** increases from 1.89(±0.03)×10^(-12)m^(2)·s^(-1)at 700℃ to 3.05(±0.05)×10^(-12)m^(2)·s^(-1)at 750℃,and 5.18(±0.05)×10^(-12)m^(2)·s^(-1)at 800℃.Meanwhile,the content of Fe is linearly increased in AZ91D with the increase of holding time at 700℃ and 750℃,while it shows a significantly increment after holding for 8 h at 800℃,indicating holding temperature is more crucial to determine the Fe content of AZ91D than holding time.

Antimony(Sb)is an intriguing anode material for Li-ion batteries(LIBs)owing to its high theoretical capacity of 660 m Ah·g^(-1)and appropriate working potential of~0.8 V(***^(+)/Li).However,just like all alloying materials,the Sb anode suffers from huge volume expansion(230%)during repeated insertion/extraction of Li+ions,resulting in structural deterioration and rapid capacity *** this work,a novel amorphous Sb/c composite with atomically dispersed Sb particles in carbon matrix is prepared via a straightforward high-energy ball milling *** intimate intermixing of amorphous Sb with c provides homogeneous element distribution and isotropic volume expansion during cycling,resulting in persistent structural ***,the disordered structure of amorphous material shortens the diffusion distance of lithium ions/electrons,promoting fast reaction kinetics and rate *** from the aforementioned effects,the amorphous Sb/c exhibits a high reversible capacity of537.4 m Ah·g^(-1)at 0.1 A·g^(-1)and retains 201.0 m Ah·g^(-1)at an ultrahigh current rate of 10.0 A·g^(-1).Even after 1500deep cycles at 2.0 A·g^(-1),the amorphous Sb/c electrode still maintains 86.3%of its initial capacity,which outperforms all existing Sb-based anodes reported so *** analysis further reveals a greatly reduced volume variation of merely 34.6%for the amorphous Sb/c electrode,much lower than that of 223.1%for crystalline Sb *** study presents a new approach to stabilizing Sb-based alloy anodes and contributes to the construction of high-performance amorphous anode materials for LIBs,enabling advanced energy storage.

A novel kinetic resolution(KR) method has been developed for 3,3-disubstituted indolines, whose catalytic asymmetric synthesis remains a significant challenge in organic synthesis. The key to the success of this KR protocol lies in the utilization of chiral phosphoric acid-catalyzed triazane formation reaction with azodicarboxylates, which enables the enantioselective synthesis of various substituted indolines bearing c3-quaternary stereocenters with good to high enantioselectivities(with sfactors up to 70). Moreover, an intriguing parallel kinetic resolution(PKR) has been developed by combining triazane formation and dehydrogenation reactions using different azodicarboxylates. Experimental studies have provided insight into the mechanism of this PKR reaction, demonstrating stereoselectivity in both triazane formation and dehydrogenation steps, favoring the opposite enantiomers. The large-scale synthesis and diverse derivatizations of the products, particularly the imine groupcontaining 3H-indoles, demonstrate the value of these(P)KR methods.

Multi-boson productions can be exploited as novel probes either for standard model precision tests or new physics searches,and have become a popular research topic in ongoing LHc experiments and future collider studies,including those for electron–positron and muon–muon *** this study,we focus on two examples,i.e.,ZZZ direct productions through μ^(+)μ^(-) annihilation at a 1TeV muon collider,and ZZ productions through vector boson scattering(VBS)at a 10TeV muon collider,with an integrated luminosity of 10 ab^(-1).Various channels are considered,including ZZZ→4l2v and ZZZ→4l+*** expected significance on these multi-Z boson production processes is reported based on a detailed Monte carlo study and signal background *** on anomalous gauge boson couplings are also presented.

Since first synthesized in 2011, MXenes have attracted extensive attention in many scientific fields as a new two-dimensional(2D) material because of the unique physical and chemical properties. Over the past decade, in particular, MXenes have obtained numerous exciting achievements in the field of terahertz applications. In this review, we first briefly introduce the MXene materials, such as the basic structure and main fabrication processes of MXenes. Then, we summarize the recent applications of MXene materials in various terahertz research areas, including terahertz modulation, terahertz absorption, terahertz shielding, terahertz communication, terahertz detection and terahertz generation, in which the representative results are presented. Finally, we give an outlook on the future research directions of MXene materials and their potential applications.

Electrochemically converting cO_(2)into value-added chemicals is a promising approach to mitigate anthropogenic carbon emissions,yet largely limited to short-chained c_(1)–c_(3)***,we demonstrate a tandem artificial synthesis of biodegradable polyhydroxybutyrate(PHB)plastic from cO_(2)building *** synthesis of defects-enriched Bi catalyst is firstly demonstrated by plasma bombardment and following in situ electrochemical reduction,which delivers a HcOOH Faradaic efficiency above 80%at tunable concentration from 2 to 250 mM,an energy efficiency up to 41%,and a single-pass carbon conversion efficiency up to 60%.Annular dark field and second electron microscopic analysis,density functional theory(DFT)calcualtions,coupled with H-type and solid-state electrolyzer assessments,point out the vital role of defective and/or stepped Bi surface sites in promoting cO_(2)-to-HcOOH ***,as-synthesized high-purity HcOOH is used as the sole carbon source for c-chain growth within microbial fermentation reactor with Ralstonia eutropha,where activated formate dehydrogenase and increased metabolites related to calvin–Benson–Bassham cycle are found to be responsible for the enhanced polyester accumulation.

As a river with more than 3000 reservoirs in its watershed,the Yellow River has been affected by dams not only on the sediment load,but also on the water ***-sediment regulation scheme(WSRS),which has been carried out annually in the Yellow River since 2002,is a typical human activity affecting river water *** dissolved organic matter(cDOM)in river is susceptible to changes in ecological and environmental conditions as well as human ***,we report variations in dissolved organic carbon concentrations,compositions and sources of cDOM in time series samples in the lower Yellow River during *** addition,a parallel factor fluorescence analysis(PARAFAc)method is applied to identify different fluorescent components in water samples during WRSR,showing four major components including tryptophan-like component(c1),microbial humic-like component(c2),terrestrial humic-like component(c3)and tyrosine-like component(c4).In general,c1 increased after water regulation,while c2 and c3 increased after sediment regulation,indicating that the water and sediment released by the dam have different effects on cDOM *** the impacts of the dam,source of cDOM in the lower Yellow River is mainly autochthonous related to microbial activities,and is regulated by the terrestrial input during WSRS *** resuspension inhibits microbial activities and reduces the production of autochthonous ***,human activities especially WSRS,as exemplified here,significantly alter the quality and quantity of cDOM in the lower Yellow River,affecting cDOM dynamics and biogeochemical processes in the estuarine environment.
