This study experimentally and numerically investigated the effect of pulsatile flow of different frequencies and outflow resistance on wall deformation in a lateral aneurysm.A method for constructing a flexible aneurysm model was developed,and a self-designed piston pump was used to provide the pulsatile flow conditions.A fluid-structure interaction simulation was applied for comparison with and analysis of experimental *** maximum wall displacement oscillation increased as the pulsation frequency and outflow resistance increased,especially at the aneurysm *** is an obvious circular motion of the vortex center accompanying the periodic inflow fluctuation,and the pressure at the aneurysm dome at peak flow increased as the pulsatile flow frequency and terminal flow resistance *** results could explain why abnormal blood flow with high frequency and high outflow resistance is one of the risk factors for aneurysm rupture.

BACKGROUND Central retinal artery occlusion(CRAO)is a potentially blinding disease,and hyperbaric oxygen therapy(HBOT)is becoming increasingly popular with the support of scientific *** the presence of various acute management measures,there is no clear evidence on the gold standard treatment for *** To identify factors and imaging parameters associated with good visual outcome,which guide ophthalmologists in the triage of CRAO patients for *** Patients who suffered from CRAO and had a symptom onset≤6 h were recruited for a course of HBOT in a tertiary hospital after failing bedside *** demographics,onset time,CRAO eye parameters,and past medical history were prospectively *** outcomes after HBOT were also *** A total of 26 patients were included;the female-to-male ratio was 1:1.6,and the mean age was 67.5 years±13.3 years(range 44–89 years).The mean duration of follow-up and mean visual acuity(VA)improvement were 10.0 mo±5.3 mo and 0.48 logarithm of minimal angle of resolution(logMAR)±0.57 logMAR(approx-imately 9 letters in ETDRS)(P=0.0001,z=-3.67),*** 1 mm zone of central macular thickness(CMT)on optical coherence tomography was not associated with VA changes(P=0.119);however,the 1-to-3 mm circular rim of CMT was fairly associated(P=0.02,Spearman's coefficient=0.45).Complete retinal perfusion time during fundus fluorescein angiography(FFA)was mode-rately associated(P=0.01,Spearman's coefficient=0.58)with visual outcome.

The hybrid vibration isolation, which takes advantages of both the passive and active approaches, has been an important solution for space missions. The objective of this paper is to design a vibration isolation platform for payloads on spacecrafts with the robust, wide bandwidth, and multi-degree-of-freedom(MDOF). The proposed solution is based on a parallel mechanism with six voice-coil motors(VCMs) as the actuators. The linear active disturbance resistance control(LADRC) algorithm is used for the active control. Numerical simulation results show that the vibration isolation platform performs effectively over a wide bandwidth, and the resonance introduced by the passive isolation is eliminated. The system robustness to the uncertainties of the structure is also verified by simulation.

Mg-6zn-1Y(at.%)ribbons with strengthening precipitates of multi-type nanoquasicrystals were prepared by melt-spinning followed by aging *** evolution of the rapidly solidified ribbons during isothermal aging was comprehensively studied using various electron microscopy *** new kinds of decagonal quasicrystals were formed in aged ribbons,in addition to precipitation of nanometer icosahedral ***-resolution observations reveal that both decagonal quasicrystals can be modeled by quasiperiodic tiling with decagonal clusters of 2.5 nm in diameter,but overlap of neighboring clusters in both decagonal quasicrystals is different from the Gummelt model observed in other quasicrystals.A shell composed of complex Laves Mg-zn domains was formed surrounding each decagonal quasicrystal precipitate upon prolonged *** addition,all kinds of nanoprecipitates exhibit excellent structure and size stability at 573 *** findings may have implications for not only fundamental studies about quasicrystals,but also microstructural manipulation of high-performance Mg alloys.

Nonlinear interaction between tearing modes(TM) and slab ion-temperature-gradient(ITG) modes is numerically investigated by using a Landau fluid model. It is observed that the energy spectra with respect to wavenumbers become broader during the transition phase from the ITG-dominated stage to TM-dominated stage. Accompanied with the fast growth of the magnetic island, the frequency of TM/ITG with long/short wavelength fluctuations in the electron/ion diamagnetic direction decreases/increases respectively. The decrease of TM frequency is identified to result from the effect of the profile flattening in the vicinity of the magnetic island, while the increase of the frequencies of ITG fluctuations is due to the eigenmode transition of ITG induced by the large scale zonal flow and zonal current related to TM. Roles of zonal current induced by the ITG fluctuations in the instability of TM are also analyzed. Finally, the electromagnetic transport features in the vicinity of the magnetic island are discussed.

By means of TEM technique the orientation relationships of cementite, precipitated from islands of granular bainite during tempering, with ferrite have been observed. By calculating the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of transformation matrix, Isaichev relationship has been analyzed. The results indicate that Isaichev relationship is indeed the sum of Kurdjumov-Sachs relationship and Pitsch relationship, so the viewpoint that the cementite with Isaichev relationship precipitates from austenite, instead of ferrite, was confirmed. Moreover, the matrix calculation shows that three reported orientation relationships among austenite, ferrite and cementite in pearlitic transformation cannot be simultaneously valid. As a nonrelativistic particle constrained to remain on an(N−1)-dimensional((N≥2))hypersurface embedded in an N-dimensional Euclidean space,two different components pi and pj(i,j=1,2,3,...N)of the Cartesian momentum of the particle are not mutually commutative,and explicitly commutation relations[p^(^)_(i),p^(^)_(j)](≠0) depend on products of positions and momenta in uncontrollable *** generalized Dupin indicatrix of the hypersurface,a local analysis technique,is utilized to explore the dependence of the noncommutativity on the curvatures around a local point of the *** first finding is that the noncommutativity can be grouped into two categories;one is the product of a sectional curvature and the angular momentum,and another is the product of a principal curvature and the *** second finding is that,for a small circle lying a tangential plane covering the local point,the noncommutativity leads to a rotation operator and the amount of the rotation is an angle anholonomy;and along each of the normal sectional curves centering the given point the noncommutativity leads to a translation plus an additional rotation and the amount of the rotation is one half of the tangential angle change of the arc.

Numerical calculations of creep damage development and life behavior of circular notched specimens of nickel-base single crystal had been performed. The creep stress distributions depend on the specimen geometry. For a small notch radius, von Mises stress has an especial distribution. The damage distribution is greatly influenced by the notch depth, notch radius as well as notch type. The creep crack initiation place is different for each notched specimen. The characteristics of notch strengthening and notch weakening depend on the notch radius and notch type. For the same notch type, the creep rupture lives decrease with the decreasing of notch radius. A creep life model has been presented for the multiaxial stress states based on the crystallographic slip system theory.

The finite element method is presented to attain the numerical simulation of the residual stresses field in the material treated by laser shock processing. The distribution of residual stresses generated by a single laser shock with square and round laser spot is predicted and validated by experimental results. With the Finite Element Method （FEM） model, effects of different overlapping rates and impact sequences on the distribution of residual stresses are simulated. The results indicate that：（1） Overlapping laser shock can increase the compressive residual stresses. However, it is not effective on the growth of plastically affected depth; （2） Overlapping rate should be optimized and selected carefully for the large area treatment. Appropriate overlapping rate is beneficial to obtain a homogeneous residual stress field; （3） The impact sequence has a great effect on the residual stress field. It can greatly attenuate the phenomenon of the “residual stress hole” to obtain a homogeneous residual stress field.
