Advances in nutritional therapy in inflammatory boweldiseases:Review

Inflammatory bowel diseases(IBD), including ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease are chronic, life-long, and relapsing diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. Currently, there are no complete cure possibilities, but combined pharmacological and nutritional therapy may induce remission of the disease. Malnutrition and specific nutritional deficiencies are frequent among IBD patients, so the majority of them need nutritional treatment, which not only improves the state of nutrition of the patients but has strong anti-inflammatory activity as well. Moreover, some nutrients, from early stages of life are suspected as triggering factors in the etiopathogenesis of IBD. Both parenteral and enteral nutrition is used in IBD therapy, but their practical utility in different populations and in different countries is not clearly established, and there are sometimes conflicting theories concerning the role of nutrition in IBD. This review presents the actual data from research studies on the influence of nutrition on the etiopathogenesis of IBD and the latest findings regarding its mechanisms of action. The use of both parenteral and enteral nutrition as therapeutic methods in induction and maintenance therapy in IBD treatment is also extensively discussed. Comparison of the latest research data, scientific theories concerning the role of nutrition in IBD, and different opinions about them are also presented and discussed. Additionally, some potential future perspectives for nutritional therapy are highlighted.

Adipose tissue is a dynamic endocrine organ that is essential to regulation of metabolism in humans. A new approach to mental disorders led to research oninvolvement of adipokines in the etiology of mental disorders and mood states and their impact on the health status of psychiatric patients, as well as the effects of treatment for mental health disorders on plasma levels of adipokines. There is evidence that disturbances in adipokine secretion are important in the pathogenesis, clinical presentation and outcome of mental disorders. Admittedly leptin and adiponectin are involved in pathophysiology of depression. A lot of disturbances in secretion and plasma levels of adipokines are observed in eating disorders with a significant impact on the symptoms and course of a disease. It is still a question whether observed dysregulation of adipokines secretion are primary or secondary. Moreover findings in this area are somewhat inconsistent, owing to differences in patient age, sex, socioeconomic status, smoking habits, level of physical activity, eating pathology, general health or medication. This was the rationale for our detailed investigation into the role of the endocrine functions of adipose tissue in mental disorders. It seems that we are continually at the beginning of understanding of the relation between adipose tissue and mental disorders.

波兰有较为完善的医疗保险体系,所有加入法定医疗保险的公民均可享受国家补贴的医疗服务。当地缺血性心脏病、脑卒中、AD发病率较高。波兰民众保健意识较强,对传统医学的接受度较高,中医药在当地有一定的发展,目前针灸治疗痛证已被纳入波兰公立医疗保险报销范畴;多种中医药协会及多所大学的孔子学院均开设了中医药课程。但发展中亦存在一定问题,如针灸以外其他疗法的治疗价值未被完全认识;在医师培训和中医教育方面缺少规范化的标准和法律法规;缺少明确的中药质量标准等。建议通过规范中医药疗法的运用、扩大医疗保险中中医的覆盖率、加强中医药疗法的推广、完善中医教育和学历认证等措施,促进两国在中医药领域的广泛合作,推动中医药在波兰的发展与传播。

Distributed Order-Up-To Inventory Control in Networked Supply Systems With Delay

In this work, the dynamics of networked goods distribution systems subject to the control of a continuous-review order-up-to inventory policy are investigated. In the analytical study, as opposed to the earlier models constrained to the serial and arborescent interconnection structures, an arbitrary multiechelon topology is considered. This external, uncertain demand,following any distribution, may be imposed on all network nodes,not just conveniently selected contact points. As in the physical systems, stock relocation to refill the reserves is subject to nonnegligible delay, which poses a severe stability threat and may lead to cost-inefficient decisions. A state-space model is created and used as the framework for analyzing system properties. In particular, it is formally demonstrated that despite unpredictable demand fluctuations, a feasible(nonnegative and bounded)reserves replenishment signal is generated at all times, and the stock gathered at the nodes does not surpass a finite, precisely determined level. The theoretical content is illustrated with a case study of the Chinese oil supply system.

UV and soft x-ray emission from gaseous and solid targets employing SiC detectors

A ns Nd:YAG pulsed laser has been employed to produce plasma from the interaction with a dense target,generating continuum and UV and soft x-ray emission depending on the laser parameters and target *** laser hits solid and gaseous targets producing plasma in high vacuum,which was investigated by employing a silicon carbide *** two different interaction mechanisms were studied,as well as their dependence on the atomic *** photon emission from laser-generated plasma produced by solid targets,such as boron nitride(BN)and other elements(Al,Cu,Sn and Ta)and compounds such as polyethylene,has been compared with that coming from plasma produced by irradiating different gas-puff targets based on N_(2)and other gases(Ar,Xe,Kr,SF_(6)).The experimental results demonstrated that the yields are comparable and,in both cases,increase proportionally to the target atomic *** obtained results,focusing the attention on the advantages and drawbacks of the employed targets,are presented and discussed.

Impact of atmospheric turbulence on coherent beam combining for laser weapon systems

Sensitivity of the area method with mono isotopic fission chambers to reactivity changes in subcritical nuclear reactors

Ability for Self-Pelletization of Iron Ores and Magnetite Concentrates

A procedure for evaluating the susceptibility of raw materials for the process of sintering of iron ore mixes is presented. The procedure relies on the evaluation of the amount and quality of the finest grain fraction. The method is based on determination of particular grain fractions. For the grain less than 0.15 mm, the determination of the a- mount is performed using an IPS （Infrared Particles Sizer） grain size analyzer and for the grain larger than 0.15 ram, the fraction is determined using the （wet and dry） screening methods. This allows for quantity assessment of the quality of material in terms of its susceptibility to self-pelletizing by calculating Total Ability for SelPPelletizing （TASP） index fT. The presented method, in combination with the grain size and chemical analyses, can serve for evaluation of suitability of raw material and mixes for the sintering process. Furthermore, the TASP index for 10 types of iron ores and concentrates was determined. The usability of the TASP index was verified by determination of its impact on yield of sintering process both in laboratory and in industry scale.

Monitoring of Carbon Monoxide (CO) changes in the atmosphere and urban environmental indices extracted from remote sensing images for 932 Iran cities from 2019 to 2021

Carbon Monoxide(CO)is an important urban pollutant with a relation to 5,transition economies based on emission *** this study,Sentinel-MODerate resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer(MODIS),and Landsat-8 images were used to investigate the variations of CO and urban environmental indices and the correlations between *** the assessed correlations for 932 Iranian cities,it occurred that the assessed indices were all *** highest CO levels were 0.031 in the spring of 2019 and 2020,whereas in 2021 it was equal to 0.030 in both the spring and winter,*** 2019 and 2020 the maximum values of the Enhanced Vegetation Index(EVI)in the spring were 0.181 and *** high Absorbing Aerosol Index(AAI)values of–0.834 and–1.0,along with Urban Index(UI)of 0.102 and 0.092,were correlated with recorded spikes in CO level,despite that these seasons’EVI values were not so *** was forecasted that in 2030 rises in the CO level by 13.2%in the winter and by 17.5%in the fall are expected,with the simultaneous increase of AAI by 204.5%and 980.2%,and Aerosol Optical Depth(AOD)by 27%and 5%in the winter and spring,respectively.
