The benthic macroinvertebrate communities of two lotic aquatic habitats,namely,the Churni River(C-R)and the Jalangi River(J-R)were compared in this *** lotic aquatic system(C-R)was polluted by organic pollutants due to discharge of unprocessed sewage water,while the other(J-R)was not affected by such *** of various physico-chemical properties of water,sediment and different macroinvertebrate communities of the two tropical lotic systems were done in a period from January,2002 to December,2003.A long term temporal change in the macroinvertebrate communities was recorded due to increase in sediment rH *** redox potential affected by the anthropogenic activities was found to be an important factor for alteration of macroinvertebrate communities in these aquatic ecosystems.A positive correlation has been established between rH and Margalef index in this *** and the total count of coliform bacteria in water showed significantly higher values for the polluted Churni River than those for the Jalangi *** 3,Tab 4,Ref

In the field of optical interconnecting network and in super fast photonic computing system, the tree architecture and optical nonlinear materials can play a significant role. Nonlinear optical material may find important uses in optical switching. Optical switch using nonlinear material makes it possible for one optical signal to control and switch another optical signal through nonlinear interaction in a material. In this communication such materials have been successfully exploited to design an all-optical tree-net architecture, which can be utilized for time division multiplexing scheme in all-optical domain.

The propagation and interaction between ion acoustic multi-solitons in an unmagnetized multicomponent plasma consisting of fluid hot ions, positrons and both hot and cold electrons, are investigated by employing the extended Poincare–Lighthill–Kuo (PLK) method. Two different Kortewege-de Vries (K-dV) equations are derived. The Hirota's method is applied to get the K-dV multi-solitons solution. The phase shift due to the overtaking and head- on collision of the multi-solitons is obtained.

Although Paleogene warm climatic intervals have received considerable attention for atmospheric and oceanographic changes,the authigenic mineralization associated with these time spans remains *** extensive review of the literature reveals a close correspondence between the high abundance of glauconite and warm climatic intervals during the Paleogene *** abundance of phosphorite,ironstone,lignite and black shale deposits reveals similar *** investigated thoroughly,the origin of these authigenic deposits is never understood in the background of Paleogene warming climatic intervals.A combination of factors like warm seawater,hypoxic shelf,low rate of sedimentation,and enhanced rate of continental weathering facilitated the *** last factor caused the excess supply of nutrients,including Fe,Si,K,Mg and Al through the rivers,the cations needed for the formation of *** excessive inflow of nutrient-rich freshwater into the shallow seas further ensured high organic productivity and stratification in shallow shelves,causing *** consequent rapid rise in sea-level during the warm periods created extensive low-relief shallow marine shelves starved in ***-deficiency in the shallow marine environment facilitated the fixation of Fe into the glauconite *** inflow of nutrient-rich water during the warm climatic intervals facilitated the formation of phosphorite,ironstone,and organic-matter-rich sedimentary deposits as *** global factors primarily controlled the formation of these authigenic deposits,local factors played significant roles in some of the ***,phosphorites formed in marine conditions with open circulation within the tropical *** lush growth of rainforest covers in the tropical belt facilitated the formation of coastal lignite.

The interaction of baicalein with bovine serum albumin（BSA） was investigated with the help of spectroscopic and molecular docking *** binding affinity of baicalein towards BSA was estimated to be in order of 10~5 M^（-1） from fluorescence quenching *** ΔH°（-5.66 ＋ 0.14 kJ/mol） and positive（ΔS°）（＋ 79.96 ＋ 0.65J/mol K） indicate the presence of electrostatic interactions along with the hydrophobic forces that result in a positive ΔS°.The hydrophobic association of baicalein with BSA diminishes in the presence of sodium dodecyl sulfate（SDS） due to probable hydrophobic association of baicalein with SDS,resulting in a negative ΔS°（-40.65 ＋ 0.87 J/mol K）.Matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization/time of flight（MALDI-TOF） experiments indicate a 1：1 complexation between baicalein and *** unfolding and refolding phenomena of BSA were investigated in the absence and presence of baicalein using steady-state and fluorescence lifetime *** was observed that the presence of urea ruptured the non-covalent interaction between baicalein and *** presence of metal ions（Ag~＋,Mg^（2＋）,Ni^（2＋）,Mn^（2＋）,Co^（2＋） and Zn^（2＋）） increased the binding affinity of ligand towards *** changes in conformational aspects of BSA after ligand binding were also investigated using circular dichroism（CD） and Fourier transform infrared（FT-IR） spectroscopic *** selectivity studies following molecular docking analyses indicated the binding of baicalein to site 1（subdomain MA） of BSA.

BACKGROUND Intrahepatic bile duct adenoma(BDA)is one of the rarest of the rare benign tumors of the liver in the pediatric age *** arises from the epithelial lining of intrahepatic bile *** overall incidence of BDA is 1.3%of all primary benign liver *** case reports of this rare tumor occurring in adult population are present in the literature and to date,only one pediatric case has been reported *** SUMMARY An 18-month-old male child presented with chief complaints of mass per abdomen for 8 *** tomography abdomen revealed a well-defined exophytic solid tumor arising from the posteroinferior margin of the right lobe of the liver with heterogenous enhancement and cystic changes,suggesting a suspicion of ***-anatomical liver resection was done and a tumor of 10 cm×9.5 cm was *** of the specimen was conclusive with the diagnosis of intrahepatic bile duct adenoma,which was further supported by immunohistochemistry panel *** post-operative period was *** follow-up,the child was doing well and had no postoperative *** Intrahepatic bile duct adenoma in children is very rare and to date only one case has been *** is the second pediatric case of intrahepatic bile duct adenoma in the *** this is the first ever case of such a large tumor presenting in a child.

The relations between the Human Immunodeficiency Virus-1 (HIV-1) and the human immune system are astonishingly multifaceted, where the critical role for cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) in the suppression of viral replication in HIV-1 infected individuals cannot be ignored. In this research paper, we have proposed a mathematical model incorporating half saturation constant through the CTL mediated killing process and also in that sense, it has been infiltrated in the generation process of CTL through infected cells. To make the model more realistic, a time lag is introduced in the generation term of CTL population. Also an optimal control theory paradigm is used in our mathematical model to suppress the viral production. From our entire analysis, we have found threshold condition of half saturation constant and treatment schedule so that we can handle the situation of Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) patients in a better way. Our analysis reveals that, if the half saturation constant is around 47 mm -3 in the saturation process and the drug therapy is to be used around 76 days, then we can get adequate results for better treatment of a HIV-1 patient. Based on numerical results, we observed that in a highly unstable situation, administration of chemotherapy at a high dose can stabilize the system.

This paper deals with a control strategy through impulsive drug treatment to study the effect of Chemotherapy and CTL activator drug to eradicate the cervical *** kills the HPV infected cells and helps to prevent cervical *** cell(DC)plays a crucial role in this disease dynamics in enhancing the act ivity of *** explore these effects,we have formulated a mathematical model consisting of six compartments to describe the interactions between HPV and three classes of cervical cells(susceptible,infected,cancerous),with DC and *** the basic reproduction ratio,we find that there exists a disease-free equilibrium point and an endemic equilibrium *** our study,we have sltown that though DC enhances the activity of *** te not sufficient to eradicate the disease *** we could restrict the cancer development by using double drug in an impulsive way with particular drug doses is being reflected in the *** illustrate our results,numerical simulations are also presented.

Plankton communities of three reservoirs of India reflect the direct relationship with organic pollution. The assessment of water quality as highly or lowly organically polluted for the three water bodies has been achieved with help of algal community, which can be used as an indicator of organic pollution. Algal pollution indices according to Palmer[1] and Watanabe[2] and based on genus and species were used in rating water samples for high or low organic pollution. Among 26 genera of algae found in India, 20 most frequent and common genera were taken into account for indexing pollution status. Water quality index (WQI) on the basis of weighting and rating of the chemical parameter was also used to correlate the Palmer index with physico-chemical parameters of the three reservoirs.
