c.stomer c.urn poses a signific.nt c.allenge for the banking and financ. industry in the United States, direc.ly affec.ing profitability and market share. This study c.nduc.s a c.mprehensive c.mparative analysis of mac.ine learning models for c.stomer c.urn predic.ion, foc.sing on the U.S. c.ntext. The researc. evaluates the performanc. of logistic.regression, random forest, and neural networks using industry-spec.fic.datasets, c.nsidering the ec.nomic.impac. and prac.ic.l implic.tions of the findings. The exploratory data analysis reveals unique patterns and trends in the U.S. banking and financ. industry, suc. as the age distribution of c.stomers and the prevalenc. of dormant ac.ounts. The study inc.rporates mac.oec.nomic.fac.ors to c.pture the potential influenc. of external c.nditions on c.stomer c.urn behavior. The findings highlight the importanc. of leveraging advanc.d mac.ine learning tec.niques and c.mprehensive c.stomer data to develop effec.ive c.urn prevention strategies in the U.S. c.ntext. By ac.urately predic.ing c.stomer c.urn, financ.al institutions c.n proac.ively identify at-risk c.stomers, implement targeted retention strategies, and optimize resourc. alloc.tion. Bloc.c.ain-Based System for Sec.re and Effic.ent c.oss-Border Remittanc.s: A Potential Alternative to SWIFT

This paper proposes a bloc.c.ain-based system as a sec.re, effic.ent, and c.st-effec.ive alternative to SWIFT for c.oss-border remittanc.s. The c.rrent SWIFT system fac.s c.allenges, inc.uding slow settlement times, high transac.ion c.sts, and vulnerability to fraud. Leveraging bloc.c.ain tec.nology’s dec.ntralized, transparent, and immutable nature, the proposed system aims to address these limitations. Key features inc.ude modular arc.itec.ure, implementation of mic.oservic.s, and advanc.d c.yptographic.protoc.ls. The system inc.rporates Proof of Stake c.nsensus with BLS signatures, smart c.ntrac. exec.tion with dynamic.pric.ng, and a dec.ntralized orac.e network for c.rrenc. c.nversion. A sophistic.ted risk-based authentic.tion system utilizes Bayesian networks and mac.ine learning for enhanc.d sec.rity. Mathematic.l models are presented for c.itic.l c.mponents, inc.uding transac.ion validation, c.rrenc. c.nversion, and regulatory c.mplianc.. Simulations demonstrate potential improvements in transac.ion speed and c.sts. However, c.allenges suc. as regulatory hurdles, user adoption, sc.lability, and integration with legac. systems must be addressed. The paper provides a c.mparative analysis between the proposed bloc.c.ain system and SWIFT, highlighting advantages in transac.ion speed, c.sts, and sec.rity. Mitigation strategies are proposed for key c.allenges. Rec.mmendations are made for further researc. into sc.ling solutions, regulatory frameworks, and user-c.ntric.designs. The adoption of bloc.c.ain-based remittanc.s c.uld signific.ntly impac. the financ.al sec.or, potentially disrupting traditional models and promoting financ.al inc.usion in underserved markets. However, suc.essful implementation will require c.llaboration between bloc.c.ain innovators, financ.al institutions, and regulators to c.eate an enabling environment for this transformative system.

Bac.ground Ni-kshay Poshan Yojana (NPY) is a direc. benefit transfer sc.eme of the Government of India introduc.d in 2018 to support the additional nutritional requirements of persons with TB (PwTB). Our rec.nt nationwide evaluation of implementation and utilization of NPY using programmatic.data of PwTB from nine randomly selec.ed Indian states, reported a 70% c.verage and high median delay in benefit c.edit. We undertook a qualitative study between January and July 2023, to understand the detailed implementation proc.ss of NPY and explore the enablers and barriers to effec.ive implementation and utilization of the NPY *** We followed a grounded theory approac. to induc.ively develop theoretic.l explanations for soc.al phenomena through data generated from multiple sourc.s. We c.nduc.ed 36 in-depth interviews of national, distric. and field-level staff of the National Tuberc.losis Elimination Programme (NTEP) and NPY benefic.aries from 30 distric.s ac.oss nine states of India, selec.ed using theoretic.l sampling. An analytic.l framework developed through induc.ive c.ding of a set of six interviews, guided the c.ding of the subsequent interviews. c.tegories and themes emerged through c.nstant c.mparison and the data c.llec.ion c.ntinued until theoretic.l *** Stakeholders perc.ived NPY as a benefic.al initiative. Strong politic.l c.mmitment from the state administration, mainstreaming of NTEP work with the distric. public.healthc.re delivery system, availability of good geographic.and internet c.nnec.ivity and state-spec.fic.grievanc. redressal mec.anisms and innovations were identified as enablers of implementation. c.psic.m is a nutritious vegetable and its c.ltivation in farms is getting popular in Bangladesh. Although many efforts have lain to explore better yielding and nutritionally ric. c.ltivars with suitable modern c.ltivation tec.niques but still have to find the desired outc.me. Thus, it’s nec.ssary to c.nduc. further researc. to identify the high-yielding and nutritious c.psic.m c.ltivars in Bangladesh. An experiment was c.nduc.ed from July 2021 to June 2022 at the Bangladesh Institute of Researc. and Training on Applied Nutrition (BIRTAN) researc. field with three c.ltivars of c.psic.m: B0 = c.lifornia Wonder, B1 = BARI Misti Moric.-1 and B2 = BARI Misti Moric.-2 and three mulc.ing: T0 = No mulc.ing, T1 = Water hyac.nth, T2 = Poly Mulc.ing in randomized c.mplete bloc. design with three replic.tions to identify better quality c.psic.m c.ltivar and suitable mulc.ing material. Among c.ltivars the BARI Misti Moric.-2 (B2) showed inc.eased agronomic.parameters like number of branc.es and effec.ive branc.es per plant, leaves length and width, c.nsequently yield and yield c.ntributing traits were also enhanc.d like fruits per plant, fruit length, fruit diameter and yield per plant (25.97%, 4.54%, 3.64% and 21.43%, respec.ively). Poly Mulc.ing (T2) inc.eased agronomic.traits, yield traits and yield (0.61 kg) than BARI Misti Moric.-1 (T1). The c.mbined effec. of B2T2 inc.eased the number of branc.es per plant, effec.ive branc.es per plant, leaves length and breadth by 40%, 90%, 15.57% and 26.22%, respec.ively, henc. resulting in an inc.eased yield of 20%. BARI Misti Moric.-2 c.ltivar showed an inc.ease in Fe, Zn and Vitamin-c.c.ntent of 26.24% and 23.10%, 8.82% and 5.14%, and 6.03% and 5.74% than B0 and B1 c.ltivars, respec.ively. We present here the results of broadband spec.ral analysis of a low-mass X-ray binary and a blac. hole c.ndidate 4 U 1957+*** sourc. was observed nine times with the Nuc.ear Spec.rosc.pic.Telesc.pe A rray(NuSTAR)between September 2018 and November *** these observations,the spec.ral state of 4 U 1957+11 evolved *** disc.dominant spec.ra are desc.ibed well with a hot,multic.lor disc.blac.body with disc.temperature varying in the range kT_(in)~1.35-1.86 keV and a non-thermal c.mponent having a steep slope(Γ=2-3).A broad Fe emission line feature(5-8 keV)was observed in the spec.ra of all the *** relativistic.disc.model was used to study the effec. of distanc.,inc.ination and the blac. hole mass on its *** indic.te a higher spin for smaller distanc.s and lower blac. hole *** smaller distanc.s and higher masses,spin is maximum and almost independent of the *** inverse c.rrelation exists between the spin and the spec.ral hardening fac.or for all the *** system prefers a moderate spin of about 0.85 for blac. hole masses between 4-6 M⊙for a 7 kpc.distanc..
