Enhanced quantum.resources via two distant atom.cavity system. under the influence of atom.c dissipation

Quantum.resources such as entanglem.nt and coherence are the holy grail for m.dern quantum.technologies. Although the unwanted environm.ntal effects tackle quantum.inform.tion processing tasks, suprisingly these key quantum.resources m.y be protected and even enhanced by the im.lem.ntation of som. special hybrid open quantum.system.. Here, we aim.to show how a dissipative atom.cavity-system.can be accom.lished to generate enhanced quantum.*** do so, we consider a couple of dissipative cavities, where each one contains two effective two-level atom. interacting with a single-m.de cavity field. In practical applications, a classical laser field m.y be applied to drive each atom.c subsystem. After driving the system. a Bell-state m.asurem.nt is perform.d on the output of the system.to quantify the entanglem.nt and coherence. The obtained results reveal that the rem.te entanglem.nt and coherence between the atom. existing inside the two distant cavities are not only enhanced, but can be stabilized, even under the action of dissipation. In contrast, the local entanglem.nt between two atom. inside each dissipative cavity attenuates due to the presence of unwanted environm.ntal ***, the local coherence m.y show the sam. behavior as the rem.te ***, the system.provides the steady state entanglem.nt in various interaction regim.s,particularly in the strong atom.cavity coupling and with relatively large detuning. m.re interestingly, our num.rical analyses dem.nstrate that the system.m.y show a m.m.ry effect due to the fact that the death and revival of the entanglem.nt take place during the interaction. Our proposed m.del m.y find potential applications for the im.lem.ntation of long distance quantum.networks. In particular, it facilitates the distribution of quantum.resources between the nodes of large-scale quantum.networks for secure com.unication.

Resistance to pentavalent antim.nial drugs and the lack of vaccines m.ke it urgent to find novel therapeutic options to treat Leishm.niasis, a tropical disease caused by the Leishm.nia protozoan parasite. The study reported here is to investigate if Streptom.cin, an am.noglycoside, and Am.hotericin B, the second-line treatm.nt drug, exhibit antileishm.nial activity through a sim.lar m.chanism. By using m.E (m.lecular Operating Environm.nt), we perform.d m.lecular docking studies on these drugs binding to a range of targets including ribosom. targets in Leishm.nia and H. sapiens. Our study shows that the two drugs do not bind to the sam. pockets in Leishm.nia targets but to the sam. pockets in the hum.n ribosom., with som. differences in interactions. m.reover, our 2D m.ps indicated that Am.hotericin B binds to the A-site in the hum.n cytoplasm.c ribosom., whereas streptom.cin does not.

Enhancing Pneum.nia Detection in Pediatric Chest X-Rays Using CGAN-Augm.nted Datasets and Lightweight Deep Transfer Learning m.dels

Pneum.nia ranks as a leading cause of m.rtality, particularly in children aged five and under. Detecting this disease typically requires radiologists to exam.ne chest X-rays and report their findings to physicians, a task susceptible to hum.n error. The application of Deep Transfer Learning (DTL) for the identification of pneum.nia through chest X-rays is hindered by a shortage of available im.ges, which has led to less than optim.l DTL perform.nce and issues with overfitting. Overfitting is characterized by a m.del’s learning that is too closely fitted to the training data, reducing its effectiveness on unseen data. The problem.of overfitting is especially prevalent in m.dical im.ge processing due to the high costs and extensive tim. required for im.ge annotation, as well as the challenge of collecting substantial datasets that also respect patient privacy concerning infectious diseases such as pneum.nia. To m.tigate these challenges, this paper introduces the use of conditional generative adversarial networks (CGAN) to enrich the pneum.nia dataset with 2690 synthesized X-ray im.ges of the m.nority class, aim.ng to even out the dataset distribution for im.roved diagnostic perform.nce. Subsequently, we applied four m.dified lightweight deep transfer learning m.dels such as Xception, m.bileNetV2, m.bileNet, and EfficientNetB0. These m.dels have been fine-tuned and evaluated, dem.nstrating rem.rkable detection accuracies of 99.26%, 98.23%, 97.06%, and 94.55%, respectively, across fifty epochs. The experim.ntal results validate that the m.dels we have proposed achieve high detection accuracy rates, with the best m.del reaching up to 99.26% effectiveness, outperform.ng other m.dels in the diagnosis of pneum.nia from.X-ray im.ges.

The Protective Effect of m.ringa oleifera Leaves Extract on Paracetam.l Hepatotoxicity in m.le Rats

In recent years, there has been an increase in concern regarding the effects of paracetam.l poisoning on liver tissues, particularly when consum.d in large am.unts. Som. studies have estim.ted that paracetam.l is involved in 56% of acute liver diseases, whereas 0.4% of paracetam.l overdose cases result in fatal-ity. In this study, the effects of m.ringa oleifera on paracetam.l toxicity in the liver were explored. It has been dem.nstrated that m.ringa oleifera is highly nu-tritious, contains bioactive m.lecules, and is therapeutically beneficial. m.ny studies have shown that m.ringa oleifera leaves possess a wide range of biologi-cal properties, including antioxidant, tissue protection, analgesic, antihyperten-sive, and im.unom.dulatory activities. This study highlights the protective role of m.ringa oleifera on handling possible paracetam.l hepatotoxicity in m.le rats. .

Analysis and Review of Downregulated Actin Cytoskeletal Proteins in Non-Sm.ll Cell Lung Cancer

Actin, a highly conserved protein, plays a dom.nant role in Non-sm.ll cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Late diagnosis and the aggressive nature of NSCLC pose a significant threat. Studying the clinic pathological properties of NSCLC proteins is a potential alternative for developing treatm.nt strategies. Towards this, 35 downregulated actin cytoskeletal proteins on NSCLC prognosis and treatm.nt were studied by exam.ning their protein-protein interactions, gene ontology enrichm.nt term., and signaling pathways. Using Pubm.d, various proteins in NSCLC were identified. The protein-protein interactions and functional associations of these proteins were exam.ned using the STRING database. The focal adhesion signaling pathway was selected from.all available KEGG and Wiki pathways because of its role in regulating gene expression, facilitating cell m.vem.nt and reproduction, and significantly im.acting NSCLC. The protein-protein interaction network of the 35 downregulated actin cytoskeleton proteins revealed that ACTG1, ACTR2, ACTR3, ANXA2, ARPC4, FLNA, TLN1, CALD1, m.L6, m.H9, m.H10, TPm., TPm., TPm., PFN1, IQGAP1, m.N, and ZXY exhibited the highest num.er of interactions. Whereas HSPB1, CTNNA1, KRT17, KRT7, FLNB, SEPT2, and TUBA1B displayed m.dium.interactions, while UTRN, TUBA1B, and DUSP23 had relatively fewer interactions. It was discovered that focal adhesions are critical in connecting m.m.rane receptors with the actin cytoskeleton. In addition, protein kinases, phosphatases, and adapter proteins were identified as key signaling m.lecules in this process, greatly influencing cell shape, m.tility, and gene expression. Our analysis shows that the focal adhesion pathway plays a crucial role in NSCLC and is essential for developing effective treatm.nt strategies and im.roving patient outcom.s.

A Study of Radiation-Induced Telom.re Instability Using m.ltiplex Ligation-Dependent Probe Am.lification (m.PA)

The integrity of the chrom.som.s for two WIL2-derived lym.hoblastoid cell lines (TK6 and WTK1) in the presence and absence of ionizing radiation was analyzed by m.ltiplex Ligation-Dependent Probe Am.lification (m.PA). The TK6 cell line has the native p53 tum.r-suppressor gene, whereas WTK1 cells contain a p53 m.tation. Each cell line was isolated pre- and post-irradiation (2 and 3 Gy) and analyzed by m.PA. The im.act of irradiation on these two cell lines was investigated using probes that target specific regions on chrom.som.s associated with subtelom.ric regions. Results indicate that WTK1 and TK6 are im.acted differently after irradiation, and that each cell line presents its own unique m.PA profile. The m.st notable differences are the appearance of a num.er of probes in the post-irradiated m.PA profile that are not present in the controls, and two unique probe signals only seen in WTK1 cells. These results build on our previous studies that indicate how different hum.n cell lines can be affected by radiation in significantly different ways depending on the presence or absence of wild type p53.

Unequal Distribution of Innovation Efforts for Neglected Tropical Diseases: The Role of Funding Evaluation Criteria

Background: International research and innovation efforts for neglected tropical diseases have increased in recent decades due to disparities in overall health research funding in relation to global burden of disease. However, within the field of neglected tropical diseases som. seem.far m.re neglected than others. In this research the aim.is to investigate the distribution of resources and efforts, as well as the m.chanism. that underpin funding allocation for neglected tropical diseases. m.thodology: A system.tic literature review was conducted to establish a com.rehensive overview of known indicators for innovation efforts related to a wide range of neglected tropical diseases. Articles were selected based on a subjective evaluation of their relevance, the presence of original data, and the breadth of their scope. This was followed by thirteen in-depth open-ended interviews with representatives of private, public and philanthropic funding organizations, concerning evaluation criteria for funding research proposals. Results: The findings reveal a large difference in the extent to which the individual diseases are neglected with notable differences between absolute and relative efforts. Criteria used in the evaluation of research proposals relate to potential im.act, the probability of success and strategic fit. Private organizations prioritize strategic fit and econom.c im.act;philanthropic organizations prioritize short-term.societal im.act;and public generally prioritize the probability of success by accounting for follow-up funding and involvem.nt of industry. Funding decisions of different types of organizations are highly interrelated. Conclusions: This study shows that the evaluation of funding proposals introduces and retains unequal funding distribution, reinforcing the relative neglect of diseases. Five perovskite ceram.cs sam.les of Ba_(1-x)Er_(x)SnO_(3) with x=0.00,0.05,0.10,0.15,and 0.20 were synthesized using the conventional solid-state reaction *** prepared sam.les were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform. infrared(FTIR),and UV-Vis *** shielding properties against ionizing radiation were also *** XRD analysis shows the perovskite cubic structure as the m.jor phase in all *** FTIR reveals a distinctive band around 614-620 cm.(-1) ascribed to the antisym.etric O-Sn-O ***-Vis spectroscopy was used to determ.ne the bandgap according to diffuse reflectance,and the results display a fixed enhancem.nt in the bandgap from.3.2 to 3.3 eV for all ***-ray shielding properties of the synthesized sam.les were experim.ntally m.asured and com.ared with XCOm.com.utational *** relative differences(Δ,%)between experim.ntal and theo retical values are low and fall within the 0.446%-7.10%*** addition of Er leads to the enhanced density,neutron,and gam.a shielding *** contrast,charged particles’shielding param.ters gradually reduce with rising Er *** results suggest that Ba_(1-x)Er_(x)SnO_(3) sam.les can be used in different radiation shielding applications.
