The COVID-19 has emerged as a public health emergency across the *** all over the world have been forced to enforce nationwide lockdowns to curb the transmission of this illness,affecting millions of *** disorder and the lockdowns enforced have resulted in a complex set of psychosocial stressors in the lives of people,affecting their resilience and causing psychological stress and mental health *** this case series,we aim to highlight the role of such psychosocial stressors in causing mental health problems,especially in a vulnerable *** first case reports the onset of first-episode mania in a healthy individual with a family history of mental illness,after the sudden demise of the patient’s mother due to *** second case highlights the onset of psychosis in an adolescent girl following academic stress due to the inability to carry on her education through online *** third case demonstrates the exacerbation of dissociative episodes in a child following the financial crisis in the family during the lockdown *** low-income to middle-income countries such as India,there is a complex interplay of the psychosocial stressors due to the COVID-19 pandemic with pre-existing issues such as poverty,socioeconomic disparity and inequity of resources leading to a‘double hit’for people from disadvantaged sections of the society and individuals with pre-existing mental illness or vulnerability for mental illness.

Background:Manilkara hexandra(Roxb.)dubard is an evergreen tree species that belongs to the Sapotaceae family which has been used in traditional system of medicines since ages in South Asia,especially in Western and Central ***:This review aims to include a thorough report on phytochemicals found in the various sections of the plant,which are responsible for their medicinal properties in ***:All the informations in this article were collated from selected research papers from online database such as PubMed,Web of Science and ***:An audit of its literature shows extracts from this plant and bio transformed products possess different activities such as antibacterial,anti-inflammatory,antiulcer,aphrodisiac,immuno-stimulation activity,arthritic activity,and free radical scavenging *** from therapeutic indications,the products obtained such as edible and nutritious fruit,valuable wood,latex,and bark,are cost effective and are a source of living for local *** varieties of chemical compounds have been isolated from this species,including sterols,sugar,terpenoids,anthraquinone glycoside,cardiac glycoside,saponin and tannins,*** the large occurrence of this underutilized species offers an incentive to use this plant at crucial levels in the treatment of various ***:This review attempts to systematically collate the scattered knowledge on ***,for its botan-ical elements,phytochemistry,ethnopharmacology,and biological activities,to assess the range of variation among natural populations in opening research areas,and to identify elite cultivars for popularization among farmers/tribal for conservation and sustainable use on conducting field improvement studies.

Partitioning of Water Distribution Network into District Metered Areas Using Existing Valves

Water distribution network(WDN)leakage management has received increased attention in recent *** of the most successful leakage-control strategies is to divide the network into District Metered Areas(DMAs).As a multi-staged technique,the generation of DMAs is a difficult task in design and implementation(i.e.,clustering,sectorization,and performance evaluation).Previous studies on DMAs implementation did not consider the potential use of existing valves in achieving the *** this work,a methodology is proposed for detecting clusters and reducing the cost of additional valves and DMA sectorization by considering existing valves as much as *** procedure of DMAs identification has been divided into three stages,i.e.,a)clusters identification;b)sectorization or boundaries optimization and c)performance evaluation of the partitioned *** proposed methodology is evaluated on a simple network and a real-world water network with the findings provided and compared to the DMAs,established for a raw water network with no existing *** is found that there is an adequate difference in cost of strategy implementation in both the cases for the network under consideration and the existing valve system achieved better network performance in terms of resilience index.

Autologous bone marrow mononuclear cell transplantation in patients with chronic traumatic brain injury-a clinical study

Background:Chronic Traumatic Brain Injury(TBI)is one of the common causes of longterm disability *** transplantation has gained attention as a prospective therapeutic option for neurotraumatic disorders like *** postulated mechanism of cell transplantation which includes angiogenesis,axonal regeneration,neurogenesis and synaptic remodeling,may tackle the pathology of chronic TBI and improve overall ***:To study the effects of cell transplantation,50 patients with chronic TBI were enrolled in an open label nonrandomized *** intervention included intrathecal transplantation of autologous bone marrow mononuclear cells and *** follow up duration was 22 *** patients underwent second dose of cell transplantation,6 months after their first *** analysis was performed to analyze the symptomatic improvements in the *** independence measure(FIM)was used as an outcome measure to evaluate the functional changes in the *** tests were applied on the pre-intervention and post-intervention scores for determining the *** Positron Emission Tomography-computed tomography(PET CT)scans were performed in 10 patients to monitor the effect of intervention on brain *** such as age,multiple doses,time since injury and severity of injury were also analyzed to determine their effect on the outcome of cell *** events were monitored throughout the follow up ***:Overall 92%patients showed improvements in symptoms such as sitting and standing balance,voluntary control,memory,oromotor skills lower limb activities,ambulation,trunk&upper limb activity,speech,posture,communication,psychological status,cognition,attention and concentration,muscle tone,coordination,activities of daily living.A statistically significant(at p≤0.05 with p-value 0)improvement was observed in the scores of FIM after intervention on the Wilcox
