Recently,Cooperative Spectrum Sensing(CSS)for Cognitive Radio Networks(CRN)plays a significant role in efficient 5G wireless *** sensing is a significant technology in CRN to identify underutilized *** CSS technique is highly applicable due to its fast and efficient performance.5G wireless communication is widely employed for the continuous development of efficient and accurate Internet of Things(IoT)networks.5G wireless communication will potentially lead the way for next generation IoT *** has established significant consideration as a feasible resource to improve identification performance by developing spatial diversity in receiving signal strength in *** this paper,an optimal CSS for CRN is performed using Offset Quadrature Amplitude Modulation Universal Filtered Multi-Carrier Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access(OQAM/UFMC/NOMA)*** of spectrum and bandwidth utilization is a key challenge in CRN for IoT 5G wireless *** optimal solution for CRN in IoT-based 5G communication should be able to provide optimal bandwidth and CSS,low latency,Signal Noise Ratio(SNR)improvement,maximum capacity,offset synchronization,and Peak Average Power Ratio(PAPR)*** Energy Efficient All-Pass Filter(EEAPF)algorithm is used to eliminate *** deployment approach improves Quality of Service(QoS)in terms of system reliability,throughput,and energy *** in-depth experimental results show that the proposed methodology provides an optimal solution when directly compares against current existing methodologies.

Introduction:We investigated the magnitude and duration of desalination of Pulicat—a coastal lagoon ecosystem connected to the Bay of Bengal on the South-eastern coast of India—during the 2015 South India flood event which was a period of high-magnitude precipitation and riverine ***:We estimated freshwater runoff into the lagoon using flow accumulation models for a period of 55 days(November 1 to December 25,2015)using daily gridded precipitation data from the Global Precipitation Measurement and a digital elevation *** the estimates of freshwater runoff,direct precipitation and observed salinities,we simulated water and salinity fluxes of the lagoon using the Land-Ocean Interactions in the Coastal Zone ***,we also used Monte Carlo simulation to estimate the uncertainty in system salinity,the residual salinity at the boundary and the freshwater residence times in the ***:We estimated that a high volume(~760×10^(6) m^(3))of relatively low salinity waters(residual salinity=23.47 psu)had been exported from the lagoon to the Bay of Bengal during the period which is likely to have caused a strong dip in the daily salinity profile of the coastal *** contend that the lagoon experienced~40%desalination due to the 2015 event with a freshwater residence time of 18.5 ***:The study highlighted the short-term,high-magnitude desalination undergone by Pulicat lagoon during the 2015 South India *** the high residual and exchange volumes obtained from the study,we conclude that Pulicat could be a major exporter of relatively low salinity waters to the Bay of Bengal during monsoons.

This paper explores traffic dynamics and performance of complex networks. Complex networks of various structures are studied. We use node betweenness centrality, network polarization, and average path length to capture the structural characteristics of a network. Network throughput, delay, and packet loss are used as network performance measures. We investigate how internal traffic, through put, delay, and packet loss change as a function of packet generation rate, network structure, queue type, and queuing discipline through simulation. Three network states are classified. Further, our work reveals that the parameters chosen to reflect network structure, including node betweenness centrality, network polarization, and average path length, play important roles in different states of the underlying networks.

VPN service providers (VSP) and IP-VPN customers have traditionally maintained service demarcation boundaries between their routing and signaling entities. This has resulted in the VPNs viewing the VSP network as an opaque entity and therefore limiting any meaningful interaction between the VSP and the VPNs. A key challenge is to expose each VPN to information about available network resources through an abstraction (TA) [1] which is both accurate and fair. In [2] we proposed three decentralized schemes assuming that all the border nodes performing the abstraction have access to the entire core network topology. This assumption likely leads to over- or under-subscription. In this paper we develop centralized schemes to partition the core network capacities, and assign each partition to a specific VPN for applying the decentralized abstraction schemes presented in [2]. First, we present two schemes based on the maximum concurrent flow and the maximum multicommodity flow (MMCF) formulations. We then propose approaches to address the fairness concerns that arise when MMCF formulation is used. We present results based on extensive simulations on several topologies, and provide a comparative evaluation of the different schemes in terms of abstraction efficiency, fairness to VPNs and call performance characteristics achieved.

Ensuring Quality of Random Numbers from TRNG: Design and Evaluation of Post-Processing Using Genetic Algorithm

Random numbers generated by pseudo-random and true random number generators (TRNG) are used in a wide variety of important applications. A TRNG relies on a non-deterministic source to sample random numbers. In this paper, we improve the post-processing stage of TRNGs using a heuristic evolutionary algorithm. Our post-processing algorithm decomposes the problem of improving the quality of random numbers into two phases: (i) Exact Histogram Equalization: it modifies the random numbers distribution with a specified output distribution;(ii) Stationarity Enforcement: using genetic algorithms, the output of (ii) is permuted until the random numbers meet wide-sense stationarity. We ensure that the quality of the numbers generated from the genetic algorithm is within a specified level of error defined by the user. We parallelize the genetic algorithm for improved performance. The post-processing is based on the power spectral density of the generated numbers used as a metric. We propose guideline parameters for the evolutionary algorithm to ensure fast convergence, within the first 100 generations, with a standard deviation over the specified quality level of less than 0.45. We also include a TestU01 evaluation over the random numbers generated.

2015年4月25日尼泊尔中部的廓尔喀发生了M_W7.8地震,随后的5月12日,在距此震震中以东约140km处又发生了M_W7.3地震。这两次地震的发生为我们理解喜马拉雅山的地震提供了新的视角和机遇。本文试图基于这两次事件所产生的形变场以及它们余震的时空特征分析这些地震的地震构造。结合震后对当地的破坏和地表形变等的实地考察可明显看出,尽管主震滑动主要局限于主喜马拉雅逆冲断裂(MHT),但破裂并没有扩展至主前缘逆冲断裂(MFT)。由形变场现有的合成孔径雷达干涉测量图像支持的野外证据表明,滑动分量可能在先前识别出的失序逆冲/活动逆冲区出现,该区域平行于主中央逆冲断裂(MCT),即文献中描述的与地形一致的地理转换带PT_2。第一次破裂终止后触发了第二次大地震,余震的分布在空间上仍局限在PT_2最东端。2015年发震序列的机理表明,失序逆冲断层吸收了部分滑移量,依据当前对地震机理的理解,此次地震始于主喜马拉雅逆冲断裂。
