Typhoid fever presenting as neuropsychiatric oddities:A case report

Selective conversion of CO_(2)to CO using earth abundant tin modified copper gas diffusion electrodes

Earth-abundant copper-tin(CuSn)electrocatalysts are potential candidates for cost-effective and sustainable production of CO from electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction(eCO_(2)R).However,the requirement of highoverpotential for obtaining reasonable current,low Faradaic efficiencies(FE)and low intrinsic catalytic activities require the optimisation of the CuSn nanoarchitecture for the further advancement in the *** the current work,we have optimised Sn loading on Cu gas diffusion electrodes(GDEs)by electrochemical spontaneous *** with various Sn loadings were tested in a three-chamber GDE reactor to evaluate their CO_(2)reduction *** best performance of 92%CO Faradaic efficiency at a cathodic current density of 120 mA cm^(-2)was obtained from the 20 min Sn deposited Cu_(2)O sample operated at-1.13 V *** electrocatalyst had~13%surface coverage of Sn on Cu GDE surface,and had Sn in oxide form and copper in metallic *** catalyst also showed stable performance and was operable for>3 h under chronoamperometric *** surface of the GDE reduces from Cu2O to Cu during eCO_(2)R and goes further reconstruction during the eCO_(2)*** study demonstrates the potential of Cu-Sn for selective CO production at high current densities.

Submental island flap reconstruction for carcinoma of the oral cavity: Experience in 30 cases

Objective:The submental flap can be utilized for soft tissue reconstruction in oral cavity malignancies because due to its close approximation to the surgical site,fewer donor site morbidity and the cost effectiveness of the ***:A total of 30 patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the oral cavity were included in the study from July 2012 to August 2015 in a tertiary care referral *** with clinical staging Ⅰ/Ⅱ/Ⅲ (T1/T2/T3,n0) oral malignancy were included in the *** with nodal metastasis irrespective of the stage of disease and patients with chronic medical illness/revision cases were excluded from the *** island flap was utilized for the reconstruction of the soft tissue defect in each *** were followed at monthly interval till 6 months in the postoperative ***:The buccal mucosa (12 patients),tongue (10 patients) and floor of mouth (8 patients) were the subsites in the oral *** and complete skin necrosis was found in 4 and 2 patients *** chemoradiation was required in 5 *** of the patients had loco regional recurrence till 6 months of ***:The submental island flap is considered to be the reliable option for the soft tissue reconstruction in oral cancer because of dependent vascular pedicle,less donor site morbidity and the lower cost compared to the free flaps,often preferred in patients with a lower socioeconomic condition.

OCDMA/OCDMA Overloading Scheme for Cellular DS-CDMA Using Orthogonal Gold Codes and Complex Scrambling

Overloading is a method to extend capacity limitation of multiple access techniques. The system becomes overloaded, when the number of users exceeds the signal dimensions. One of the efficient schemes to overload a CDMA system is to use two sets of orthogonal signal waveforms (O/O). In this paper, the BER performance of a new overloading scheme using scrambled orthogonal Gold code (OG/OG) sets is evaluated with soft decision interference cancellation (SDIC) receiver. When complex scrambling is not used, it is shown that OG/OG scheme provides 25% (16 extra users) channel overloading for synchronous DS-CDMA system in an AWGn channel, with an SnR degradation of about 0.35 dB as compared to single user bound at a BER of 1e-5. We have evaluated the overloading performance, when two set are scrambled with set specific deterministic or random complex scrambling sequence. It is shown that the amount of overloading increases significantly from 25% to 63% (40 extra users) by using random complex scrambling for n=64. For deterministic (periodic) scrambling, the overloading percentage increases considerably to 78. On a Rayleigh fading channel, an overloading of 40% is obtained without scrambling at a BER of 5e-4 with near single user performance. With complex scrambling overloading % increases considerably to 100%.
