Excitons,bound electron–hole pairs,in two-dimensional hybrid organic inorganic perovskites(2D hOIPs)are capable of forming hybrid light-matter states known as exciton-polaritons(E–Ps)when the excitonic medium is confined in an optical *** the case of 2D hOIPs,they can self-hybridize into E–Ps at specific thicknesses of the hOIP crystals that form a resonant optical cavity with the ***,the fundamental properties of these self-hybridized E–Ps in 2D hOIPs,including their role in ultrafast energy and/or charge transfer at interfaces,remain ***,we demonstrate that>0.5µm thick 2D hOIP crystals on Au substrates are capable of supporting multiple-orders of self-hybridized E–P *** E–Ps have high Q factors(>100)and modulate the optical dispersion for the crystal to enhance sub-gap absorption and *** varying excitation energy and ultrafast measurements,we also confirm energy transfer from higher energy E–Ps to lower energy E–***,we also demonstrate that E–Ps are capable of charge transport and transfer at *** findings provide new insights into charge and energy transfer in E–Ps opening new opportunities towards their manipulation for polaritonic devices.

Impact of Chain Length of Saturated Fatty Acids during Their heterogeneously Catalyzed Deoxygenation

Fatty acids with different chain length were deoxygenated in the absence of hydrogen (caprylic acid (CA), lauric acid (LA) and stearic acid (SA)). The catalytic tests were carried over Pd-containing catalysts out in a batch reactor under inert gas for 6 h at 250°C to 350°C and pressures from 18 to 75 bar in the absence of additionally fed hydrogen. Pd-containing catalysts were tested;the best performing catalyst was 10% Pd/C with 63% undecane yield at 327°C. These catalysts were used for a comparative decarboxylation of CA, LA and SA. At equal reaction conditions (300°C, 6 h), the chain length of the fatty acid had a strong impact on the conversion, which was steadily increasing, whereas the alkane selectivity ran through a maximum. This work demonstrated the usability of Pd-containing catalysts for the decarboxylation of various fatty acids in the absence of additionally fed hydrogen with respect to the manufacture of hydrocarbons that can be used as blending components for fuels.

Chromatographic separation of Be（Ⅱ） from Mg（Ⅱ）, Ca（Ⅱ）, Sr（Ⅱ） and Ba（Ⅱ） using poly[dibenzo-18-crown-6] and L-arginine

A simple and selective method for the separation of Be（Ⅱ） was developed using poly[dibenzo-18-crown-6] as a stationary phase in column chromatography. The study was carried out in L-arginine medium. 1.0-8.0 M hCl and Ch3COOh, 0.5-8.0 M hBr, hClO4 and h2SO4, 0.2-1.0 M EDTA and 0.02-0.12 M ammonium oxalate were found to be an efficient eluents for Be（Ⅱ）. The capacity of polymer was 0.554-0.01 mmol/g of crown polymer. The tolerance limit of various cations and anions were reported. Be（Ⅱ） was quantitatively separated from Mg（Ⅱ）, Ca（Ⅱ）, Sr（Ⅱ） and Ba（Ⅱ）. The selective separation of Be（Ⅱ） was possible from multicomponent mixtures. The method was extended to determine Be（Ⅱ） from geological samples. Method was simple, rapid and selective having good reproducibility （approximately4-2%）.
