hydatid disease(hD)is an accidental human parasitic infestation by cestodes and is most commonly caused by Echinococcus *** happens to be the most common site of involvement,although involvement of other organ symptoms is not *** of the retrovesical pouch by hydatidosis is generally secondary in nature with an incidence of 0.1%-0.5%*** retrovesical hydatid cyst(RVhC)is extremely rare with only few cases in existing *** can present with a wide gamut of symptoms ranging from asymptomatic to obstructive uropathy.A 38-year-old male presented to us with complaints of lower urinary tract symptoms(LUTS)and was found to have an isolated primary retrovesical hydatid cyst on *** RVhC had compressed the right ureter leading to a grossly hydronephrotic non-functional right *** patient was started on albendazole therapy and underwent robot assisted right nephroureterectomy and partial pericystectomy for the *** postoperative period was uneventful with resolution of *** report highlights the various clinical presentations of RVhC as well as the minimal invasive management of this rare entity.

Gastroschisis and omphalocele are the two most common congenital defects of the anterior abdominal *** etiologies remain unclear,but while gastroschisis is associ-ated with young maternal age,maternal smoking,maternal alcohol and illicit drug use during pregnancy omphalocele is frequently associated with genetic disorders and other congenital anomalies[1].The incidence of gastroschisis in the United States(US)has increased with an estimated inci-dence of 4.6 per 10,000 live births(LB)between 2010 and 2014[2].A recent study capturing information on 20%of infants admitted to neonatal intensive care unit(NICU)in the US showed a decrease in gastroschisis hospitalizations while that of omphalocele remained stable[3].however,it lacks generalizability[3].Our aim was to provide updated trends of gastroschisis and omphalocele hospitalizations in the US between 2010 and 2018 using population-based and nationally representative databases.

A remarkable refinement in the optical behavior of two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)has been brought to light when cleaved from their respective *** atomically thin direct bandgap semiconductors are highly responsive to optical energy which proposes the route for futuristic photonic *** this manuscript,we have substantially focused on the optical study of MoS_(2)and WS_(2)nanosheets and comparative analysis with their bulk *** synthesis of nanosheets has been accomplished with liquid exfoliation followed by fabrication of thin films with drop-casting technique.X-ray diffraction and field emission scanning electron microscopy affirmed the morphology,whereas,UV-visible spectroscopy served as the primary tool for optical *** was observed that several parameters,like optical conductivity,optical band-gap energy *** enhanced statistics in the case of exfoliated nanosheets as compared to their respective *** researchers have touched upon this analysis for MoS_(2),but it is completely novel for WS_(2).We expect our work to clearly distinguish between the optical behaviors of nanoscale and bulk TMDs so as to intensify and strengthen the research related to 2D-layered materials for optoelectronic and photovoltaic applications.

Bicornuate Uterus: Infertility Treatment and Pregnancy Continuation without Cerclage: An Unusual Case

Introduction: Uterine malformation in general population is around 7% - 8%. Abnormal fusion of the para-mesonephric duct (mullerian duct) during embryonic life results in a variety of congenital uterine malformations, such as uterus didelphys, uterus bicornis bicollis, uterus bicornis unicollis, uterus subseptae, uterus arcuatus, uterus unicornis. The bicornuate uterus accounts for approximately 10% of the mullerian anomalies. Women with bicornuate uterus have no extra uterine infertility issues. The uterine malformations are known to be associated with spontaneous miscarriages, intrauterine growth restriction, preterm deliveries, preterm prelabour rupture of membranes, breech presentation and increased rate of caesarean delivery. The rates of spontaneous abortion and premature delivery have been reported to reflect the degree of non fusion of the horns. The common complications and adverse reproductive outcomes associated with bicornuate uterus are recurrent pregnancy loss (25%), preterm birth (15% - 25%) and cervical insufficiency (38%). We reported a case of bicornuate unicollis pregnancy which was infertility treated and carried till 38 weeks and had a good outcome. Case Report: A 32-year-old nullipara presented to Infertility OPD at NIMS Medical College and hospital with the chief complaint of inability to conceive in spite of having regular sexual intercourse for 12 years without using any contraception. Patient was then investigated, bicornuate uterus identified. Infertility treatment was done by Intrauterine Insemination (IUI). Patient conceived and pregnancy continued till term uneventfully. Discussion: The prevalence of uterine anomalies is 7% - 8%. And now because of better availability of diagnostic modalities, better detection of such anomalies is possible. Bicornuate uterus is a congenital uterine anomaly that results from defective lateral fusion of the paramesonephric ducts at about the tenth week of intrauterine life around the fundus. A bicornuate

Escalation of drug resistant microbes (bacteria) had forced researchers to search new and improved therapeutic compounds from different possible sources, including metabolites secreted by the actinomycetes. The aim of this study was to evaluate the pattern of antimicrobial actinomycetes from physiologically distinct soil of different geographical locations. Forty five soil samples were collected from 5 districts of Gujarat including two sanctuaries as source of survey for bioactive actinomycetes. Crowded plate technique was used for isolation and Agar cylinder method was employed for the antimicrobial screening. A total of 171 actinomycetes were isolated and screened against eighteen pathogens responsible for causing diseases in plants and humans. Results indicate that 79% of the isolates were active against at least one of the eighteen tested pathogens. Some of the actinomycetes strain had shown strong antibacterial and antifungal activity which may be a good source of obtaining novel antimicrobials.

In wireless sensor networks, secure data aggregation protocols target the two major objectives, namely, security and en route aggregation. Although en route aggregation of reverse multi-cast traffic improves energy efficiency, it becomes a hindrance to end-to-end security. Concealed data aggregation protocols aim to preserve the end-to-end privacy of sensor readings while performing en route aggregation. however, the use of inherently malleable privacy homomorphism makes these protocols vulnerable to active attackers. In this paper, we propose an integrity and privacy preserving end-to-end secure data aggregation protocol. We use symmetric key-based homomorphic primitives to provide end-to-end privacy and end-to-end integrity of reverse multicast traffic. As sensor network has a non-replenishable energy supply, the use of symmetric key based homomorphic primitives improves the energy efficiency and increase the sensor network’s lifetime. We comparatively evaluate the performance of the proposed protocol to show its efficacy and efficiency in resource-constrained environments.

A Model with Traffic Routers, Dynamically Managing Signal Phases to Address Traffic Congestion in Real Time

On-road Vehicular traffic congestion has detrimental effect on three lifelines: Economy, Productivity and Pollution (EPP). With ever increasing population of vehicles on road, traffic congestion is a major challenge to the economy, productivity and pollution, notwithstanding continuous developments in alternative fuels, alternative sources of energy. The research develops accurate and precise model in real time which computes congestion detection, dynamic signaling algorithm to evenly distribute vehicle densities while ensuring avoidance of starvation and deadlock situation. The model incorporates road segment length and breadth, quality and achievable average speed to compute road capacity. Vehicles installed with GPS enabled devices provide their location, which enables computing road occupancy. Road occupancy is evaluated based on number of vehicles as well as area occupied by vehicles. Ratio of road occupancy and road capacity provides congestion index important to compute signal phases. The algorithm ensures every direction is serviced once during a signaling cycle ensuring no starvation. Secondly, the definition of minimum and maximum signal timings ensures against dead lock situation. A simulator is developed to validate the proposition and proves it can ease congestion by more than 50% which is better than any of the contemporary approaches offering 15% improvement. In case of higher congestion index, alternate routes are suggested based on evaluation of traffic density graphs for shortest route or knowledge database. The algorithm to compute shortest route is optimized drastically, reducing computation cost to 3*√2N vis-à-vis computation cost of N2 by classical algorithms. The proposal brings down the cost of implementation per traffic junction from USD 30,000 to USD 2000.
