The grid-connected or standalone PV central inverter architecture is comprised of several PV modules which are connected in different ways to form the PV array.The power generation capability of the PV array is primarily affected by partial shading conditions(PSC).Due to PSCs,the power output of the PV array is dramatically reduced,and mismatching losses are induced in the PV modules.Based on the extent of these problems,multiple peaks also appear in the power-voltage(P-V)curve,which makes it very difficult to track the global maximum power point(GMPP).The main objective of this research paper is to model and simulate the series(S),series-parallel(SP),bridge-link(BL),honey-comb(HC),total-cross-tied(TCT)and proposed triple-tied(TT)solar PV array configurations under various partial shading scenarios.The performance of all PV configurations is evaluated under a uniform approach,considering eight different shading scenarios.The performance of the considered PV configurations is analyzed in terms of their mismatching power losses,fill factors,efficiency,global maximum power points(GMPPs),local maximum power points(LMPPs),voltages and currents at GMPPs,open circuit voltage and short circuit currents.The above-mentioned PV configurations are modeled and simulated in a Matlab/Simulink environment by considering the KC-200GT module parameters.

Currently,the critical challenge in solar photovoltaic(PV)systems is to make them energy efficient.One of the key factors that can reduce the PV system power output is partial shading conditions(PSCs).The reduction in power output not only depends on a shaded region but also depends on the pattern of shading and physical position of shaded modules in the array.Due to PSCs,mismatch losses are induced between the shaded modules which can cause several peaks in the output power-voltage(P-V)characteristics.The series-parallel(SP),total-cross-tied(TCT),bridge-link(BL),honey-comb(HC),and triple-tied(TT)configurations are considered as conventional configurations,which are severely affected by PSCs and generate more mismatch power losses along with a greater number of local peaks.To reduce the effect of PSCs,hybrid PV array configurations,such as series-parallel:total-cross-tied(SP-TCT),bridge-link:total-cross-tied(BL-TCT),honey-comb:total-cross-tied(HC-TCT)and bridge-link:honey-comb(BL-HC)are proposed.This paper briefly discusses the modeling,simulation and performance evaluation of hybrid and conventional 7×7 PV array configurations during different PSCs in a Matlab/Simulink environment.The performance of hybrid and conventional PV configurations are evaluated and compared in terms of global maximum power(GMP),voltage and currents at GMP,open and short circuit voltage and currents,mismatch power loss(MPL),fill factor,efficiency,and a number of local maximum power peaks(LMPPs).

In this work,we propose a context-aware switching of routing protocol scheme for speciﬁc application requirements of IoT in real-time using a software-deﬁned networking controller in wireless sensor networks.The work planned has two stages i)Selection of suitable routing protocol(RP)for given IoT applications using higher cognitive process and ii)Deployment of the corresponding routing protocol.We use the supervised learning-regression method for classiﬁcation of the routing protocol while considering the network parameters like stability,path delay,energy utilization,and throughput.The chosen routing protocol will be set in the sensor network using a software-deﬁned networking controller in an exceedinglyﬂexible manner during the second stage.Extensive simulation has been done and results are evaluated to point out the strength of the proposed work,while dynamically varying the speciﬁc requirements of IoT applications.We observe that the work proposed is path-breaking the prevailing methods,where a speciﬁc routing protocol is employed throughout the period of time.It’s clearly shown that the proposed,Low-cost Context-Aware Protocol Switching(LCAPS)scheme is efﬁcient in improving the performance of the sensor network and also meets the speciﬁc application requirements of IoT by using Software-Deﬁned Wireless Sensor Networks SDWSNs.

In this paper,we report synthesis of pure SrMoO_(4),Sm^(3+)(1 at%-5 at%)doped SrMoO_(4)and Bi^(3+)(1 at%-3 at%)co-doped in 4 at%Sm^(3+)doped SrMoO_(4)(SrMoO_(4):4 Sm^(3+))phosphors by solution combustion method.The X-ray diffraction(XRD)analysis reveals the tetragonal phase of all samples,also Bi^(3+)co-doping supports crystallite size growth and reduces lattice strain.Absorption analysis of Sm^(3+)doped SrMoO_(4)ascertains a decrease in band gap and Bi^(3+)co-doping confirms the emergence of an absorbance peak at around 308 nm attributed to Bi^(3+)energy levels.Photoluminescence(PL)analysis ascertains an increase in emission peaks for Sm^(3+)doped SrMoO_(4)up to 4%concentration,which are attributed to an electron transition from 4 G5/2 to 6 HJ(J=5/2,7/2,9/2,and 11/2)energy levels of Sm^(3+)ions.We have explained the effects of Bi^(3+)co-doping on the luminescence of Sm^(3+)doped SrMoO_(4).The reduced microstrain and increased crystallinity of the phosphors as a result of Bi^(3+)co-doping and their correlation with the luminescence of Sm^(3+)ions are discussed.

A robust deep learning model consisting of long short-term memory and fully connected neural net-works has been proposed to automatically interpret homogeneous petroleum reservoirs having infinite,no flow,and constant pressure outer boundary conditions.The pressure change data recorded during the well test operation along with its derivative is input into the model to perform the classification for identifying the reservoir model and,further,regression to estimate output parameter.Gaussian noise was added to analytical models while generating the synthetic training data.The hyperparameters were regulated to perform model optimization,resulting in a batch size of 64,Adam optimization algorithm,learning rate of 0.01,and 80:10:10 data split ratio as the best choices of hyperparameters.The perfor-mance accuracy also increased with an increase in the number of samples during training.Suitable classification and regression metrics have been used to evaluate the performance of the models.The paper also demonstrates the prediction performance of the optimized model using simulated and actual oil well pressure drawdown test cases.The proposed model achieved minimum and maximum relative errors of 0.0019 and 0.0308,respectively,in estimating output for the simulated test cases and relative error of 0.0319 for the real test case.

Giant Loose Body of Knee Joint Presenting as Accessory Patella<br/>—A Case Report

Loose bodies are freely floating fragments of cartilage or bone inside the knee joint space. This is commonly seen in association with degenerative joint disease (DJD), direct or indirect trauma, synovial chondromatosis, osteochondritis dissecans (OCD) and size of the loose body may vary from few millimeters to few centimeters. Patients with loose bodies in knee joint presented to orthopaedists with knee pain, swelling and restricted movement, with intermittent locking or catching of the joint. This is managed surgically most of the times when it becomes symptomatic. The surgical technique most commonly utilized is arthroscopy. Open arthrotomy should be done when the loose bodies are very large/numerous/located in posterior joint space. In review of literature, we found very few cases of giant loose body in knee joint due to DJD reported in last 70 years. We are hereby reporting our case of 60-year-old male with a giant loose body of same size as of patella in the supra-patellar pouch of left knee joint and managed by arthrotomy to remove the giant loose body. Post-operatively patient recovered significantly over the period of 6-week follow-up. In conclusion, giant loose body should be removed through arthrotomy and all such cases should be thoroughly evaluated to diagnose the cause of giant loose body.

Innovative Consortia of Micro and Macro Fungal Systems: Cellulolytic Enzyme Production from Groundnut Shell Biomass and Supportive Structural Analysis

Renewable biomass-derived fuels are essential to meet the blend mandates and the sustainability goals. In our first-to-date study, we investigated individual and synergistic consortia of fungal cultures comprising Pycnoporous sanguineus (PS) in combination with Aspergillus oryzae (AO) and Trichoderma harzianum (TH) for production of cellulolytic enzymes using groundnut shell under solid state and submerged liquid fermentation conditions. The innovative consortia closely align with the microbial ecosystems found in nature;consequently, we anticipate a potent and effective cellulolytic enzyme system, which maximises the breakdown of biomass polymers to sugars. Under ternary combination of cultures, cellulase production was highest at 123.0 ± 1 FPU/gds;β-glucosidase production at 875.6 ± 26.4 IU/g dry substrate (gds);and CMCase at 474.95 ± 45.5 IU/gds. β-glucosidase production was highest on the 2nd day at 987.03 ± 64.2 IU/gds while CMCase peaked at 514.97 ± 21.4 IU/gds on 2nd day for PS, maximum cellulase enzyme production was observed on the 6th day at 192.2 ± 0.96 FPU/gds (AO + PS). Present work showed that synergistic combination of fungal cultures for releasing balanced enzyme activities that can efficiently saccharify biomass, such as groundnut shell to sugars, which can subsequently be fermented to various bioproducts and biomaterial monomers. Elaborate characterization studies of enzyme treated groundnut shell revealed prominent physicochemical changes in the hydrolysate, which indicates the changes in biomass are due to the enzymatic action and the growth effects of the consortia;thereby, leading to promising applications for the microbial fortified biomass.

Evaluation of thermostable endoglucanase in Paenibacillus lautus strain BHU3 for yield enhancement

In the present study,Paenibacillus lautus strain BHU3 isolated from landfill soil was evaluated for the presence of potential endoglucanases which are the first candidate of cellulase enzyme system to act on cellulose.In-silico analysis revealed high potential thermostable endoglucanases which can efficiently interact with cellulose.The most potent and thermostable endoglucanase(locus tag id.CPZ30_18280)belonged to glycosyl family-5 and had interaction energy of−12.981 kcal/mol for the best docked cluster containing three out of ten docking conformations,and Tm value of 73.3℃.MD simulation of 100 ns proved highly stable binding interactions of CPZ30_18280 endoglucanase with cellulose with root mean square deviation(RMSD)values ranging from 0.15 to 0.30 nm.Consistent interactions with characteristic active site residues(tyrosine,tryptophan and aspartate)of glycosyl family-5 endoglucanases were found.Further,to enhance the production of endoglucanases,the fermentation conditions were optimized employing approaches like one factor at a time(OFAT)and response surface methodology(RSM).Maximum activity of endoglucanase was determined at 60℃.The optimized condi-tions for enhanced production of endoglucanase(10.15 U/mL)were pH 6.63,yeast extract conc.3.44 g/L,wheat bran 3.59%,and inoculum size 2.65%.Hence,P.lautus strain BHU3 has enormous potential to synthesize highly efficient thermostable endoglucanases under optimized regime using agro-wastes.Thus,it could find immense industrial applications including large scale cellulose conversion to bioethanol.

Correlation between hypertension and hyperglycemia among young adults in India

AIM: To assess the correlation between blood pressure levels and fasting plasma glucose levels among young adults attending Chatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University, Kanpur, India.METHODS: The present study was cross-sectional in nature, conducted among students in the Institute of Paramedical Sciences, Chatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University, Kanpur. Study subjects included 185 young adults. Among them, 94 were males and 91 were females, in the age group 17 to 19 years.RESULTS: Mean age among males was 18.5 ± 1.5 years and among females was 17.9 ± 1.8 years. Of the total 185 study subjects, 61(32.9%) were classified as pre-diabetic and 20(10.8%) as pre-hypertensive. Mean waist circumference, systolic blood pressure and serum high density lipoprotein did not vary significantly between normoglycemic and pre-diabetic subjects. However, the mean diastolic blood pressure of pre-diabetics(82 ± 5 mm Hg) was significantly higher than normoglycemics(79 ± 6 mm Hg). Mean serum cholesterol, serum triglycerides, serum low density lipoprotein(LDL) and serum very low density lipoprotein was also higher among pre-diabetic subjects in comparison to normoglycemic subjects and the difference was statistically significant. Upon multiple linear regression analysis, it was observed that body mass index(BMI)(β = 0.149), diastolic blood pressure(β = 0.375) and serum LDL(β = 0.483) were significantly associated with fasting plasma glucose. Multiple linear regression with diastolic blood pressure as the outcome variable showed that BMI(β = 0.219), fasting blood glucose(β = 0.247) and systolic blood pressure(β = 0.510) were significantly associated.CONCLUSION: A significant prevalence of pre-diabetes and pre-hypertension in young adults is a matter of concern therefore all young adults need to be targeted for screening of diabetes and hypertension and lifestyle modification.
