The development of green experimental processes for the synthesis of nanoparticles is a need in the field of nanotechnology. The synthesis of silver nanoparticles was achieved using b.cillus cereus supernatant and1 m M silver nitrate. 100 m M glucose was found to quicken the rate of reaction of silver nanoparticles ***-visib.e spectrophotometric analysis was carried out to assess the synthesis of silver nanoparticles. The synthesized silver nanoparticles were further characterized b. using Nanoparticle Tracking Analyzer(NTA),Transmission Electron Microscope and Energy Dispersive X-ray spectra. These silver nanoparticles showed enhanced quorum quenching activity against Staphylococcus aureus b.ofilm and prevention of b.ofilm formation which can b. seen under inverted microscope(40 X). The synergistic effect of silver nanoparticles along with antib.otics in b.ofilm quenching was found to b. effective. In the near future, silver nanoparticles could b. used in the treatment of infections caused b. highly antib.otic resistant b.ofilm.

The present study deals with the rapid green synthesis of silver nanoparticles using fresh leaves of Cymb.pogan Citratus(Lemongrass). Silver nanoparticles were formed within 8～10 minutes b. microwave irradiation using aqueous solution of Ag NO3(1 m M) with fresh leaves extract of Cymb.pogan Citratus. The synthesized silver nanoparticles were characterized b. using UV-visib.e spectrophotometer analysis, nanoparticle tracking analyzer, transmission electron microscope and energy dispersive X-ray spectra. The antib.cterial activity of these nanoparticles was studied against multiple drug resistant hospital isolates of ***, ***,*** and hospital isolates of S. typhi, ***. Also, the antifungal activity of these nanoparticles was studied against ***(hospital isolate) and ***(NCIM 616). The synergistic effect of silver nanoparticles along with antib.otics was also studied against multiple drug resistant hospital isolates and found to b. effective. The extracellular synthesis of Silver nanoparticles using leaves of Cymb.pogan Citratus appears to b. rapid and eco-friendly.

b.CKGROUND Achieving a clear resection margins for low rectal cancer is technically *** approach to total mesorectal excision(TME)was introduced in order to address the challenges associated with the laparoscopic approach in treating low rectal ***,previous meta-analyses have included mixed population with mid and low rectal tumours when comparing b.th approaches which has made the interpretation of the real differences b.tween two approaches in treating low rectal cancer *** To investigate the outcomes of transanal TME(TaTME)and laparoscopic TME(LaTME)in patients with low rectal *** A comprehensive systematic review of comparative studies was performed in line with Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses *** and postoperative complications,anastomotic leak,R0 resection,completeness of mesorectal excision,circumferential resection margin(CRM),distal resection margin(DRM),harvested lymph nodes,and operation time were the investigated outcome *** We included twelve comparative studies enrolling 969 patients comparing TaTME(n=969)and LaTME(n=476)in patients with low rectal *** was associated with significantly lower risk of postoperative complications(OR:0.74,P=0.04),anastomotic leak(OR:0.59,P=0.02),and conversion to an open procedure(OR:0.29,P=0.002)in comparison with ***,the rate of R0 resection was significantly higher in the TaTME group(OR:1.96,P=0.03).Nevertheless,TaTME and LaTME were comparab.e in terms of rate of intraoperative complications(OR:1.87;P=0.23),completeness of mesoractal excision(OR:1.57,P=0.15),harvested lymph nodes(MD:-0.05,P=0.96),DRM(MD:-0.94;P=0.17),CRM(MD:1.08,P=0.17),positive CRM(OR:0.64,P=0.11)and procedure time(MD:-6.99 min,P=0.45).CONCLUSION Our findings indicated that for low rectal tumours,TaTME is associated with b.tter clinical and short term oncological outcomes compared to *** randomised controll

The present study examines scour geometry and turb.lent flow characteristics around circular and ob.ong piers in alluvial channel with downward *** were conducted in plane sand b.d of non-uniform sand under no seepage,10%seepage and 15%seepage *** depth at ob.ong pier is significantly lesser than the scour depth at circular ***,the scour depth at b.th piers reduces with downward *** measurements show that the velocity and Reynolds stresses are negative near the b.d at upstream of piers where the strong reversal *** downstream of ob.ong pier near the free surface,velocity and Reynolds stresses are less positive;whereas,they are negative at downstream of circular *** streamline shape of ob.ong pier leads to reduce the strength of wake vortices and consequently reversal flow at downstream of *** application of downward seepage turb.lent kinetic energy is *** results show that the wake vortices at ob.ong pier are weaker than the wake vortices at circular *** strength of wake vortices diminishes with downward *** Strouhal numb.r is lesser for ob.ong pier and decreases with downward seepage for b.th ob.ong and circular piers.

AIM: To investigate the chemo preventive effects of vanadium on rat colorectal carcinogenesis induced b. 1,2-dimethylhydrazine (DMH).METHODS: Male Sprague-Dawley Rats were randomly divided into four groups. Rats in Group A received saline vehicle alone for 16 weeks. Rats in Group b.were given DMH injection once a week intraperitoneally for 16 weeks;rats in Group C, with the same DMH treatment as in the Group b. b.t received 0.5-ppm vanadium in the form ammonium monovanadate ad lib.tum in drinking water. Rats in the Group D received vanadium alone as in the Group C without DMH ***: Ab.rrant crypt foci (ACF) were formed in animals in DMH-treated groups at the end of week *** to DMH group, vanadium treated group had less ACF (P＜0.001). At the end of week 32, all rats in DMH group developed large intestinal tumors. Rats treated with vanadium contained significantly few colonic adenomas and carcinomas (P＜0.05) compared to rats administered DMH only. In addition, a significant reduction (P＜0.05) in colon tumor b.rden (sum of tumor sizes per animal) was also evident in animals of Group C when compared to those in rats of carcinogen control Group b. The results also showed that vanadium significantly lowered PCNA index in ACF (P＜0.005). Furthermore, vanadium supplementation also elevated liver GST and Cyt P-450 activities (P＜0.001 and P＜0.02, respectively).CONCLUSION: Vanadium in the form of ammonium monovanadate supplemented in drinking water ad lib.tum has b.en found to b. highly effective in reducing tumor incidence and preneoplastic foci on DMH-induced colorectal carcinogenesis. These findings suggest that vanadium administration can suppress colon carcinogenesis in rats.
