Rechargeable Al batteries(RAB)are promising candidates for safe and environmentally sustainable battery systems with low-cost ***,the currently used aluminum chloridebased electrolytes present a significant challenge to commercialization due to their corrosive ***,we report for the first time,a novel electrolyte combination for RAB based on aluminum trifluoromethanesulfonate(Al(OTf)_(3))with tetrabutylammonium chloride(TBAC)additive in *** presence of a mere 0.1 M of TBAC in the Al(OTf)_(3) electrolyte generates the charge carrying electrochemical species,which forms the basis of reaction at the *** reduces the charge transfer resistance and the surface activation energy at the anode surface and also augments the dissociation of Al(OTf)_(3) to generate the solid electrolyte interphase *** electrolyte’s superiority directly translates into reduced anodic overpotential for cells that ran for 1300 cycles in Al plating/stripping tests,the longest cycling life reported to *** unique combination of salt and additive is non-corrosive,exhibits a high flash point and is cheaper than traditionally reported RAB electrolyte combinations,which makes it commercially *** this report,we address a major roadblock in the commercialization of RAB and inspire equivalent electrolyte fabrication approaches for other metal anode batteries.

Connecting Productivity with Social Capital via Daily Mobile Phone Logs

Human behavior and their social interactions can be quantified and modeled with the use of smart phones and any wearable badges which senses and captures real-life interactions. In traditional social sciences, such information was gathered by conducting surveys. However in digital era, smart phones are regarded as a popular tool which automatically senses much human information to quantify our lives. Reality mining gives a clear picture of a human being and its social relations. Social Network Analysis (SNA) is a powerful research tool which provides a comprehensive analysis on ego-alters communications with their individual productivity within a community. In this paper, various popular measures of social network analysis have used to study a closed community through their mobile call logs for a period of time. We experimented various social network measures both on daily basis and also over a period of time. The pattern shows that the relationships and interaction between ego-alter ties have more productive benefits. Using Pearsoncorrelation analysis, we observed that significant (positive) correlation exists between various network properties and their productivity. Results showed that degree (size) has the strongest positive correlation with average productivity, followed by effective size, efficiency, constraint, hierarchy, and k-core of an individual. Density and betweenness centrality have a weak, negative correlation with productivity. Hence social capital has a significant influence on human productivity.

Multi-Scale Dilated Convolution Network for SPECT-MPI Cardiovascular Disease Classification with Adaptive Denoising and Attenuation Correction

Myocardial perfusion imaging(MPI),which uses single-photon emission computed tomography(SPECT),is a well-known estimating tool for medical diagnosis,employing the classification of images to show situations in coronary artery disease(CAD).The automatic classification of SPECT images for different techniques has achieved near-optimal accuracy when using convolutional neural networks(CNNs).This paper uses a SPECT classification framework with three steps:1)Image denoising,2)Attenuation correction,and 3)Image *** denoising is done by a U-Net architecture that ensures effective image *** correction is implemented by a convolution neural network model that can remove the attenuation that affects the feature extraction process of ***,a novel multi-scale diluted convolution(MSDC)network is *** merges the features extracted in different scales and makes the model learn the features more *** scales of filters with size 3×3 are used to extract *** three steps are compared with state-of-the-art *** proposed denoising architecture ensures a high-quality image with the highest peak signal-to-noise ratio(PSNR)value of *** proposed classification method is compared with the five different CNN models,and the proposed method ensures better classification with an accuracy of 96%,precision of 87%,sensitivity of 87%,specificity of 89%,and F1-score of 87%.To demonstrate the importance of preprocessing,the classification model was analyzed without denoising and attenuation correction.

This study investigates the effect of aluminium oxide nanoparticlesaddition to biodiesel blends made from dairy milk scum on performance and combustion characteristics of the diesel *** dispersion of Al_(2)O_(3)nanoparticles in B20 blends at different concentrations was done with the help of *** number of blends were prepared for the *** Machine learning algorithms(Random Forest(RF)and CatBoost)was used for the *** results show that in comparison to biodiesel blends without nanoparticles,the kinematic viscosity and density is higher for fuel blends with *** these Fuel blends have higher calorific *** blends exhibited reduced Brake Specific Fuel Consumption(BSFC)of 2.85% than the blends without nano particles(Dairy Scum Methyl Ester Biodiesel 20%+Neat Diesel 80%(in volume),DSMEB20),57.14%less CO,40.8% less hydrocarbon,and increased NO_(x)emissions compared to conventional diesel,contributing to the development of environmentally friendly and renewable biofuel blends with *** B20NP30 is the optimal blend for performance and emission *** study concludes with findings on enhanced Brake Thermal Efficiency(BTE)of 26.29% in 3×10^(-5)(in volume)Al_(2)O_(3)nanoparticle-blended DSME B20 and other DSME B20 fuel blends,emphasizing the importance of optimal nanoparticle *** correlation matrix shows how engine load,efficiency measures(BTE,BSFC),and emissions(CO,CO_(2),NO_(x),Smoke)are connected in complex *** results help us understand the complicated dynamics of engine performance and emission characteristics ***'s diagram for BTE and BSFC shows that CatBoost-based BTE models perform superior to RF-based models during the training as well as testing *** results were obtained for CO and CO_(2)emission results.

Rice husk ash （RHA） is one of the industrial waste byproduct available abundantly in the world. In the present work, an attempt is made to incorporate the RHA particles in the molten aluminum A356,2 alloy. The RHA particles were added into the matrix melt by creating a vortex with the help of a mechanical stirrer and the melt temperature was maintained between 800 and 850 ℃. Dry sliding wear experiments were performed in a pin on disc wear equipment against a chromium steel disc at 30 ℃. Scanning electron microscopy is used to study the wear characteristics of the unreinforced AI alloy and the A356.2/RHA composites. From the experiments it is observed that the composites exhibit higher hardness and resistance to wear as compared to unreinforced AI alloy,

Bridging the gap: The role of technological advances in shaping gastrointestinal oncological outcomes

Gastrointestinal (GI) cancers are highly prevalent and considered a major global health challenge. Their approach has undergone a remarkable transformation over the past years due to the development of new technologies that enabled better outcomes regarding their diagnosis and management. These include artificial intelligence, robotics, next-generation sequencing and personalized medicine. Nonetheless, the integration of these advances into everyday clinical practice remains complex and challenging as we are still trying to figure out if these innovations tangibly improve oncological outcomes or if the current state of art should remain as the gold standard for the treatment of these patients. Additionally, there are also some issues regarding ethical subjects, data privacy, finances and governance. Precision surgery concept has evolved considerably over the past decades, especially for oncological patients. It aims to customize medical treatments and to operate on those patients who most likely will benefit from a specific surgical procedure. In the future, to improve GI oncological outcomes, a delicate balance between technological advances adoption and evidence-based care should be chased. Heat treatment processes, such as annealing and quenching, are crucial in determining residual stress evolution, microstructural changes and mechanical properties of metallic materials, with residual stresses playing a greater role in the performance of components. This paper investigates the effect of heat treatment on residual stresses induced in AISI 1025, manufactured using LENS. Finite element model was developed and simulated to analyze residual stress development. AISI 1025 samples suitable for tool and die applications in Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) filament production, were fabricated using Laser Engineered Net Shaping (LENS) process, followed by heat treatment where annealing and quenching processes were done. The material’s microstructure, residual stress and hardness of heat-treated samples under investigation, were compared against the as-built samples. The results indicated that after annealing, tensile residual stresses were reduced by 93%, resulting in a reduced crack growth rate, compared to the as-built sample, although the hardness was reduced significantly by 25%. On the other hand, high tensile residual stresses of 425 ± 14 MPa were recorded after quenching process with an improvement of hardness by 21%.
