Novel multistage solid-liquid circulating fluidized bed： Hydrodynamic characteristics

The present work proposes a novel radially cross-flow multistage solid-liquid circulating fluidized bed （SLCFB）. The SLCFB primarily consists of a single multistage column （having an inner diameter of 100 mm and length of 1.40 m）, which is divided into two sections wherein both the steps of utilization or loading （e.g., adsorption and catalytic reaction） and regeneration of the solid phase can be carried out simulta- neously in continuous mode. The hydrodynamic characteristics were studied using ion exchange resin as the solid phase and water as the fluidizing medium. The loading and flooding states were determined for three particle sizes; i.e,. 0.30, 0,42, and 0.61 ram. The effects of the superficial liquid velocity and solid feed rate on the solid hold-up were investigated under loading and flooding conditions. The solid hold-up increases with an increase in the solid feed rate and decreases with an increase in the superficial liquid velocity. An artificial-intelligence formalism, namely the multilayer perceptron neural network （MLPNN）, was employed for the prediction of the solid hold-up. The input space of MLPNN-based model consists of four parameters, representing operating and system parameters of the proposed SLCFB. The developed MLPNN-based model has excellent prediction accuracy and generalization capability.

One of the important geotechnical parameters required for designing of the civil engineering structure is the compressibility of the *** this study,the main purpose is to develop a novel hybrid Machine Learning(ML)model(ANFIS-DE),which used Differential Evolution(DE)algorithm to optimize the predictive capability of Adaptive-Network-based Fuzzy Inference System(ANFIS),for estimating soil Compression coefficient(Cc)from other geotechnical parameters namelyWater Content,void ratio,SpecificGravity,Liquid Limit,Plastic Limit,Clay content and Depth of Soil *** of the predictive capability of the novel model was carried out using statistical indices:root Mean Square Error(rMSE),Mean Absolute Error(MAE),and Correlation Coefficient(r).In addition,two popular ML models namely reduced Error Pruning Trees(rEPTree)and Decision Stump(Dstump)were used for *** showed that the performance of the novel model ANFIS-DE is the best(r=0.825,MAE=0.064 and rMSE=0.094)in comparison to other models such as rEPTree(r=0.7802,MAE=0.068 and rMSE=0.0988)andDstump(r=0.7325,MAE=0.0785 and rMSE=0.1036).Therefore,the ANFIS-DE model can be used as a promising tool for the correct and quick estimation of the soil Cc,which can be employed in the design and construction of civil engineering structures.

Objective:To study morpho-anatomical characters and physicochemical analysis of Fumaria indica(***)(Hausskn.)Pugsley,(Fumariaceae),an important medicinal plant used extensively for treating a variety of ailments in various system of indigenous ***:Evaluation of the different parts of the plant was carried out to determine the morphoanatomical,physicochemical,phytochemical and HPTLC fingerprinting profile of *** and other WHO recommended methods were performed for ***:Morphoanatomical studies showed compound and pinnatifid leaf,4 to 6 cm in length,linear and oblong in shape and anomocytic arrangement of stomata,thin walled parenchymatous cells,scattered,sclerenchymatous,capped vascular bundles and radiating medullary *** studies showed foreign matter 0.2%,loss on drying 6.8%,total ash 16.77%,alcohol and water soluble extractives 8.92%and 20.26%,respectively,sugar 17.75%,starch 22.97%and tannins 2.37%.Phytochemical evaluation revealed the presence of carbohydrate,alkaloids,flavonoids,saponins,tannins and *** layer chromatography was carried out with different solvents and the best solvent system was chloroform and methanol in 80:20 ratio and revealed 12 spots with different r_f value under Uv light 366λ.Conclusions:The results of the study can serve as a valuable source of information and provide suitable standards for identification of this plant material for future investigations and applications.

Many fungi are pathogenic on plants and cause significant damage in agriculture and *** are also part of the natural ecosystem and may play a role in regulating plant numbers/*** identification and analysis of plant pathogenic fungi,while important,is often hampered by the scarcity of discriminatory taxonomic characters and the endophytic or inconspicuous nature of these ***(DNA sequence)data for plant pathogenic fungi have emerged as key information for diagnostic and classification studies,although hampered in part by non-standard laboratory practices and analytical *** facilitate current and future research,this study provides phylogenetic synopses for 25 groups of plant pathogenic fungi in the Ascomycota,Basidiomycota,Mucormycotina(Fungi),and Oomycota,using recent molecular data,up-to-date names,and the latest taxonomic *** laboratory protocols together with advice on their application,as well as general observations,are also *** hope to maintain updated backbone trees of these fungal lineages over time and to publish them jointly as new data *** of plant pathogenic fungi not covered by the present study are invited to join this future ***,Botryosphaeriaceae,Botryosphaeria,Botrytis,Choanephora,Colletotrichum,Curvularia,Diaporthe,Diplodia,Dothiorella,Fusarium,Gilbertella,Lasiodiplodia,Mucor,Neofusicoccum,Pestalotiopsis,Phyllosticta,Phytophthora,Puccinia,Pyrenophora,Pythium,rhizopus,Stagonosporopsis,Ustilago and verticillium are dealt with in this paper.

The traditional resource use structure in Himalaya has transformed considerably during the recent past, mainly owing to the growth of population and the resultant increased demand of natural resources in the region. This transformation in resource use practices is particularly significant in the densely populated tracts of Himalaya. As a result, cultivated land, forests, pastures and rangelands have been deteriorated and depleted steadily and significantly leading to their conversion into degraded and non-productive lands. These rapid land use changes have not only disrupted the fragile ecological equilibrium in the mountains through indiscriminate deforestation, degradation of land resources and disruption of the hydrological cycle, but also have significant and irreversible adverse impacts on the rural economy, society, livelihood and life quality of mountain communities. It has been observed that the agricultural production has declined, water sources are drying up fast due to decreased ground water recharge and a large number of villages are facing enormous deficit of critical resources, such as food, fodder, firewood and water, mainly due to unabated deforestation. As a result, the rural people, particularly the women, have to travel considerably long distances to collect fodder and firewood and to fetching water. It is therefore highly imperative to evolve a comprehensive and integrated land use framework for the conservation of the biophysical environment and sustainable development of natural resources in Himalaya. The land use policy would help local communities in making use of their natural resources scientifically and judiciously, and thus help in the conservation of the biophysical environment and in the increasing of the productivity of natural resources. 目的本研究旨在探讨硬毛巴豆(CH)提取物在链脲佐菌素(STZ)大鼠中的神经保护作用。方法(1)亚慢性毒性试验包括24只成年大鼠,雌雄不限,体重160~200 g,分为4组,每组6只。第1组大鼠给予二甲基亚砜(DMSO)与生理盐水混合物;第2、3、4组大鼠灌胃给药硬毛巴豆甲醇提取物(MECH),剂量分别为100、200和400 mg/kg,连续28天。将功能观察组合和自发活动分级作为其神经行为活动的一部分,并对脑区(如皮质和海马)进行神经病理学异常分析。(2)研究动物体重为160~200 g的成年雄性Wistar大鼠,分为5组,每组6只,包括对照组(Ⅰ)、STZ组(Ⅱ)、多奈哌齐组(Ⅲ)、MECH组(100 mg/kg,Ⅳ)和MECH组(200 mg/kg,Ⅴ)。第Ⅰ组大鼠口服柠檬酸盐缓冲液和DMSO生理盐水混合物(14天)。第Ⅱ组大鼠在第1天和第3天侧脑室注射链脲佐菌素(3 mg/kg,双侧ICv-STZ),随后给予生理盐水DMSO混合物(14天)。第Ⅲ、Ⅳ和Ⅴ组大鼠在第1天和第3天给予STZ,随后口服多奈哌齐[3 mg/(kg·d)]和MECH[100和200 mg/(kg·d)](14天)。检测大鼠Morris水迷宫(MWM)和被动回避试验(PAT)等学习记忆指标。完成行为学实验后处死动物,取脑,用紫外可见分光光度计测定乙酰胆碱酯酶(AChE)、脂质过氧化(LPO)、谷胱甘肽(GSH)和超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)水平。使用总荧光发射光谱法测定caspase-3水平。通过酶联免疫吸附测定(ELISA)检测β淀粉样蛋白(Aβ)水平,同时对CA1海马区进行组织病理学分析。结果(1)亚慢性毒性结果显示,各组MECH大鼠的旷场试验参数(包括线交叉、直立、进入中广场、排便或排尿)无显著差异(P>0.05)。组织病理学结果显示,与对照组大鼠相比,经过MECH治疗的大鼠两个区域的神经元细胞中均未产生任何病变和炎症。(2)研究主要发现STZ处理大鼠在学习和记忆参数受损显著增加(P<0.001),AChE、caspase-3、Aβ(1-40和1-42)和LPO水平均显著升高(P<0.001),且SOD和GSH水平显著降低(P<0.01)。此外,在海马区发现神经元损伤。相反,STZ诱导大鼠的行为和生化损伤与MECH治疗呈剂量依赖性降低。结论MECH通过其抗氧化作用可显著预防STZ诱导的记忆缺陷,胆碱能功能的恢复可能是行为改善的原因。因此,MECH可能治疗包括阿尔茨海默病在内的认知障碍。
