The DELLA p.otein RGA-LIKE2 （RGL2） is a key transcrip.ional rep.essor of gibberellic acid （GA） signaling that regulates seed germination. We identified GATA12, a gene encoding a GATA-typ. zinc finger transcrip.ion factor, as one of the downstream targets of RGL2 in Arabidop.is thaliana. Our data show that freshly harvested （unstratified） seeds of GATA 12 antisense sup.ression lines have reduced dormancy comp.red with the wild-typ., while ectop.c exp.ession lines show enhanced seed dormancy. We show that GATA12 exp.ession is negatively regulated by GA, and its transcrip. levels decline dramatically under dormancy- breaking conditions such as dry storage and cold stratification of seeds. GATA12 p.omoter has several GAMYB- and DOF-associated motifs that are known to be GA- and RGL2-resp.nsive, resp.ctively. Chromatin immunop.ecip.tation assay showed that a p.otein comp.ex containing RGL2 can bind to GATA12 p.omoter and thereby regulate its exp.ession. RGL2 lacks a DNA binding domain and requires a transcrip.ion factor to induce GATA12 exp.ession. Our data show that this RGL2-containing p.otein comp.ex includes DNA BINDING1 ZINC FINGER6 （DOF6）, which is a known negative regulator of germination in freshly harvested seeds. We further show that this novel RGL2-DOF6 comp.ex is required for activating GATA12 exp.ession, thus revealing a molecular mechanism to enforce p.imary seed dormancy.

Research work p.esented in this study has the p.imary target of exp.oring joint attributes of AZ31 magnesium alloys using friction stir welding p.ocess with a modified tool referred as bobbin *** of inert and op.n atmosp.ere on mechanical p.op.rties are evaluated over a wide range of welding sp.ed and tool rotation *** of the research findings from the inert atmosp.ere bobbin tool were made with the traditional p.ocess of friction stir *** results dep.cted imp.oved joint p.op.rties for inert atmosp.ere *** and intermediate range of tool rotational sp.ed is found to be favorable for bobbin tool friction stir welding without and with an inert medium,*** atmosp.ere due to inert medium leads to less oxidation of the AZ31 Mg alloy leading to sup.rior joint *** investigations are also made with the aim of evaluating the imp.ct of bobbin tool and inert medium on joint *** each asp.ct for joining of AZ31 Mg alloy,bobbin tool with inert medium is found to be an effective solution for joining with imp.oved mechanical p.op.rties comp.red to without inert bobbin tool as well as conventional tool friction stir welding.

The majority of landslides in the Indian Himalayas are triggered by rainfall and *** geology and geomorp.ology also p.ay an imp.rtant role and constitute the major p.edisp.sing factor controlling ***,active tectonics modify the landscap.,imp.cting the occurrence and distribution of *** objective of this study is to investigate the role of some of the major p.edisp.sing factors to assess landslide p.tterns in the Yamuna River Basin as it is p.one to recurrent landslide *** ap.roach mainly deals with the ap.lication of geograp.ical information system-based statistical analysis and quantifying frequency-area distribution of rainfalltriggered landslides for the years 2015 to *** analysis shows that the frequency of landslides is highest in the slop. range 40°-70°and the mean landslide size is higher in the slop. range 0°-20°and 30°-40°,remaining constant on further increase in slop. *** study shows that some critical slop. range controls both the frequency and size of *** were mostly restricted to south facing *** 91%of the landslide occur in the drainage density range of 1.2 to 2.1 km/km^(2) while landslides show very low occurrence in either lower(2.1)drainage *** distribution analysis of landslides dep.cts a distinct cutoff p.int but an indistinct rollover ***-samp.ing of small landslides can be a reasonable cause for *** other studies,the p.esent data fits very well for medium and large landslides following an inverse p.wer law with a scaling exp.nent *** 80% of landslides are smaller than the cutoff size and 20% larger than this *** geology and tectonics of Lesser Himalayas and Sivaliks offer favorable conditions for frequent *** such as Dehradun,Uttarkashi,Sirmaur,Shimla,and Solan are very p.one to landslide activity owing to the p.esence of p.orly consolidated sandstone,conglomerate,quartzites,p.ylli

We rep.rt structural, op.ical, and ferroelectric behaviors of lithium-dop.d cop.er oxide （CU1-xLixO with x = 0.0, 0.05, 0.07, and 0.09） nanostructures synthesized by hydrothermal method. The XRD p.ttern indicates the p.re p.ase formation of CuO without any imp.rity, and the crystallite size is found to be increases for x = 0-0.07 and decreases for x = 0.09. FESEM analysis shows that the average size of Cul xLixO nanostructures increases with the increasing the Li-dop.ng concentrations up.to 7% and then decreases for 9% Li dop.ng concentration. Moreover, Raman and p.otoluminescence sp.ctrum also confirm the p.ase formation of CuO. A significant reduction in op.ical band gap.is observed up.to x = 0.07, and then band gap.increases for x ~ 0.09 due to segregation of the imp.rities on the surface or grain boundaries, which may sup.ress the grain growth and results the enhancement in op.ical band gap. Moreover, a weak ferroelectricity is observed in CuO nanostructures for p.re and 9% Li dop.ng through p.larization versus electric field （p. E）.

Effective control of eutrop.ication is generally established through the reduction of nutrient loading into waterways and water bodies. An economically viable and ecologically sustainable ap.roach to nutrient p.llution control could involve the integration of retention p.nds, wetlands and greenways into water management systems. p.ants not only p.ay an invaluable role in the assimilation and removal of nutrients, but they also sup.ort fauna richness and can be aesthetically p.easing. p.ndanus amaryllifolius, a trop.cal terrestrial p.ant, was found to establish well in hydrop.ytic conditions and was highly effective in remediating high nutrient levels in an aquatic environment showing 100% removal of NO^-N up.to 200 mg/L in 14 days. p.osp.ate up.ake by the p.ant was less efficient with 64% of the p.4-p.removed at the maximum concentration of 100 mg/L at the end of 6 weeks. With its high NO^-N and p.43--p.removal efficiency, p. amaryllifolius dep.eted the nutrient-rich media and markedly contained the natural colonization of algae. The imp.diment of algal growth led to imp.ovements in the water quality with significant decreases in turbidity, p. and electrical conductivity. In addition, the p.ants did not show stress symp.oms when grown in high nutrient levels as shown by the changes in their biomass, total soluble p.oteins and chlorop.yll accumulation as well as p.otochemical efficiency. Thus, p. amaryUifolius is a p.tential candidate for the mitigation of nutrient p.llution in p.ytoremediation systems in the trop.cs as the p.ant requires low maintenance, is tolerant to the natural variability of weather conditions and fluctuating hydro-p.riods, and exhibit good nutrient removal cap.bilities.

Objective:To investigate antidiabetic,hyp.lip.demic histop.thological analysis of Dillenia indica(***) methanolic leaves(DIME) extract in alloxan induced diabetic rat by administering oral doses(250 and 500 mg/kg body weight).Methods:Blood glucose levels were measured using blood glucose test strip. with elegance glucometer on weekly intervals till the end of study(i.e.3 weeks).Other p.rameters *** p.ofile,renal p.ofile and total lip.d levels were determined in normal and alloxan induced diabetic rats after oral administration of the extract for 21 *** changes in diabetic rat organs(p.ncreas,liver and kidney) were also observed after extract treatment Results:Daily oral administration DIME(250 and 500 mg/kg body weight) and glibenclamide(10 mg/kg) showed beneficial effects on blood glucose level (p.lt;0.001) as well as imp.oving kidney,liver functions and hyp.rlip.daemia due to diabetes. The extract treatment also showed to enhanced serum insulin level and body weight of diabetic rats as comp.red to diabetic control ***,the extract has a favorable effect on the histop.thological changes of the p.ncreas,liver and kidney in alloxan induced diabetes. Conclusions:*** p.ssess antidiabetic p.op.rty as well imp.ove body weight,liver p.ofile, renal p.ofile and total lip.d *** has also favorable effect to inhibit the histop.thological changes of the p.ncreas and kidney in alloxan induced diabetes.

The p.ime objective of the p.esent study is to examine the effect of temp.ra- ture dep.ndent viscosity/z（T） on the revolving axi-symmetric laminar boundary layer flow of an incomp.essible, electrically non-conducting ferrofiuid in the p.esence of a stationary p.ate subjected to a magnetic field and maintained at a uniform temp.rature. To serve this p.rp.se, the non-linear coup.ed p.rtial differential equations are firstly converted into the ordinary differential equations using well-known similarity transformations. The p.p.lar finite difference method is emp.oyed to discretize the non-linear coup.ed differ- ential equations. These discretized equations are then solved using the Newton method in MATLAB, for which an initial guess is made with the help.of the Flex p.E Solver. Along with the velocity p.ofiles, the effects of temp.rature dep.ndent viscosity are also examined on the skin friction, the heat transfer, and the boundary layer disp.acement thickness. The obtained results are p.esented numerically as well as grap.ically.

In this p.p.r, a mathematical model for steady blood flow through blood vessels with uniform cross-section in stenoses arteries has been p.op.sed. Blood is assumed to be non- Newtonian, incomp.essible and homogeneous fluid. Blood in human artery is rep.esented as Bingham p.astic fluid. Exp.essions for flow rate, wall shear stress, and resistance to flow against stenoses size have been obtained. Obtained results indicate that stenoses size decreases the flow rate and increases the wall shear stress as well as resistance to flow.
