Major load centres of India are located at northern part and western–southern part of country,whereas most of the generating units are concentrated at eastern and North-eastern *** transmission of bulk power over a long distance is a basic requirement for which ultra-high voltage AC(UHVAC)transmission system is identified as a feasible solution resulting in reduced transmission loss and reduced corridor width(right of way),protection of precious flora and *** this,Powergrid Corporation of India along with Central Power Research Institute had made a call for indigenous development of UHVAC *** a result,1200 kV UHVAC National Test Station is developed in India at *** 400/1200 kV bay is successfully charged,along with one 1200 kV single circuit and one 1200 kV double-circuit test transmission *** study deals with the study of on-site acceptance test such as sweep frequency response analysis,frequency-domain spectroscopy(FDS),along with inrush current measurement,voltage withstand test,corona measurement,thermo-vision scanning conducted on-site at no load,to ensure the performance of transmission system.A brief review of technical studies related to UHVAC technology developed throughout the World is also *** power transmission at 1200 kV is a feasible and viable option but further research is required in this area to make UHV transmission a global success.

The advent of modem forces and the changes in socio- economic patterns of forest dwellers have increased the pressures on the forests. In order to mitigate such pressures and also to protect the forests and wildlife the model of protected areas networks has shifted and en- hanced such pressures in the unprotected natural forests due to several reasons. Being a low profile category of protected status and continuous human settlements, the present study highlights the case of dry deciduous forests of Sarguja district of Chhattisgarh state of India. The major objec- tives of this study were to quantify the status of forests and wildlife and also to determine the extent of anthropogenic disturbances faced by the dry deciduous forests of central India. Transect and silent drive count methods were used for sampling wildlife and quadrat method was used for sampling vegetation. Besides, the local uses of various forest pro- duces were also studied in view of understanding the people dependency on forests. The forest vegetation, in the study area, was pre-dominated by Shorea robusta, which had Madhuca indica, Diospyrus melanoxylon and Buchnania lanzan as the major companion species. The forest had either the high girth class mature tree species or the saplings. The low vegeta- tion cover and density were due to the high anthropogenic pressures mainly in the form of heavy livestock grazing and collection of etlmo- botanically important species. The study though reveals that the area is not rich in wildlife and the forest is fragmented, the area still supports some important species, which include many rare and endangered plants and animals. The findings of this study have been discussed in view of the management and conservation of the forest and wildlife in the dry deciduous forests.

Approximate analytical solution of the system of coupled nonlinear Ordinary Differential Equations (ODEs) of a biochemical reaction model is much relevant due to its practical significance to *** this paper,an effective and powerful mathematical technique,*** homotopy analysis transform method (FHATM),is employed to get the numerical solutions of biochemical reaction model with time fractional *** adopted scheme is the beautiful copulation of homotopy analysis technique and Laplace transform *** paper shows that the adopted scheme is quite easy as well as computationally attractive in the context of a solution *** Caputo-type fractional derivatives are considered in the present *** results of the probability density functions of the time fractional biochemical reaction model are computed for miscellaneous fractional Brownian motions as well as for classical motion and are presented *** time fractional biochemical reaction model with respect to stability analysis for various values of fractional order q is also *** the context of stability discussion,we have used the fractional Routh-Hurwitz stability criterion to establish the local stability of the biochemical reaction model of fractional order.

本研究对印度北阿坎德邦奈尼塔尔地区的农业用地进行了时间序列分析。该研究基于Landsat5,Landsat7and Landsat8卫星图像数据,使用随机森林分类器对该区域近21年(2000–2021年)的农业和非农业土地进行分类。陆地卫星图像使用谷歌地球引擎(GEE)平台进行处理,随机森林分类器的选择则是基于随机森林(RF)、支持向量机(SVM)和分类与回归树(CART)之间的比较分析。对总体准确度、用户准确度、生产者准确度和kappa系数进行了评估,以确定研究区域的最佳分类器。结果表明,2021年RF、SVM和CART的总体准确率分别为96.38%、94.44%和91.94%;类似地,RF、SVM和CART的kappa系数分别为0.96、0.89和0.81。陆地卫星在农业和非农业地区的分类图像显示,该区域在21年间(2000–2021年)农业用地减少了4.71%。该研究还表明,过去4年(即2018–2021年)该区域农业面积下降幅度最大。本研究对于发展中国家了解农用地变化并采取适当措施以保护该地区的动植物非常重要。

Effect of Base Width and Stiffness of the Structure on Period of Vibration of RC Framed Buildings in Seismic Analysis

Fundamental natural period of vibration T of the building is an important parameter for evaluation of seismic base shear. Empirical equations given in the Indian seismic code for the calculation of the fundamental period of a framed structure, primarily as a function of height, do not consider the effect of stiffness of the structure, base dimensions of the structure, number of panels in both the directions, amount of infill and properties of the infill. The fundamental period can be evaluated using simplified expressions found in codes, which are based on earthquake recordings in existing buildings, laboratory tests, numerical or analytical computations. These technical codes provide expressions which depend on basic parameters such as building height or number of stories. Building periods predicted by these expressions are widely used in practice although it has been observed that there is scope for further improvement in these equations since the height alone is inadequate to explain period variability. It is also known that the period of a RC frame structure differs depending on whether the longitudinal or transverse direction of the structure is considered. The aim of this study is to find the effects of building base width in both the directions, stiffness of the structure etc. and to predict the fundamental period of vibration of reinforced concrete buildings with moment resisting frames (MRF). A few examples of dynamic analysis are presented in this study to show the effect of base dimensions and stiffness of the structure in calculating the time period of the structure. And it is recommended to be incorporated in the formula for evaluating the natural period of vibration of structures.
