Steady state and time resolved fluorescence spectroscopy, combined with molecular dynamics simulation, have been used to explore the interactions of a therapeutically important bioflavonoid, genistein, with normal human hemoglobin (HbA). Binding constants estimated from the fluorescence studies were k.= (3.5 ± 0.32) ×104M-1 for genistein. Specific interactions with HbA were confirmed from flavonoid-induced fluorescence quenching of the tryptophan in the protein HbA. The mechanism of this quenching involves both static and dynamic components as indicated by: (a) increase in the values of Stern-Volmer quenching constants with temperatures, (b) / is slightly > 1 (where and are the unquenched and quenched tryptophan fluorescence lifetimes (averaged) respectively). Molecular dock.ng and dynamic simulations reveal that genistein binds between the subunits of HbA, ~18?? away from the closest heme group of chain α1, emphasizing the fact that the drug does not interfere with oxygen binding site of HbA.

Heavy metals from mica waste not only deteriorate the soil quality but also results in the uptak. of metals in the *** present investigation was conducted to evaluate the effects of different fractions of metals on the uptak. in rice,soil microbial and biochemical properties in mica waste-contaminated soils of Jhark.and,*** each active mine,soil samples were randomly collected at distances of100 m(zone 3).Sequential metal extraction was used to determine the fractions of different metals(nick.l(Ni),cadmium(Cd),chromium(Cr)and lead(Pb))including water-soluble(Ws)and exchangeable metals(Ex),carbonate-bound metals(CBD),Fe/Mn oxide(OXD)bound metals,organically bound metals(ORG),and residues(RS).The Ni,Cr,Cd and Pb in rice grain were 0.83±0.41,0.41±0.19,0.21±0.14 and 0.17±0.08 mg/k. *** the variable importance plot of the random forest(RF)algorithm,the Ws fraction of Ni,Cr and Cd and Ex fraction of Pb was the most important predictor for rice grain metal ***,the partial dependence plots(PDP)give us an insight into the role of the two most important metal fractions on rice grain metal *** microbial and enzyme activity was significantly and negatively correlated with Ws and Ex metal fractions,indicating that water-soluble and exchangeable fractions exert a strong inhibitory effect on the soil microbiological parameters and enzyme activities.

Field-based sedimentology,state of the art facies analysis and sequence stratigraphic framework.analysis have revealed the controls of local and global tectonics,basin-marginal slope,climate and changes in relative sea level （RSL） over the sedimentation pattern and evolution of a Neoproterozoic k.rur Formation within the Badami Group of k.ladgi Supergroup in *** entire succession shows three major cycles of *** study and fluvial architectural elemental analysis suggest considerable variations in depositional environments as well as palaeogeography.A transition from basin-margin alluvial cone deposits to braided system,initially with fluctuating ephemeral flows then to a steadier semi-perennial nature,is discernible within the 1stcycle,in response to decreasing depositional slope with rising water *** initial alluvial cone and braided ephemeral streams of high slope areas is designated as a product of low accommodation systems tract （LAST）,while the semi-perennial system with steadier flows,representing the axial river of the initial rift valley,appears to be a product of high-accommodation systems tract （HAST）.The 2ndcycle begins with a perennial and steady braided river system and grades upward to a shallow marine succession,comprising wave-dominated,well-sorted sandstone,with a granular transgressive lag at the ***,the bottommost fluvial interval of the 2ndcycle constitutes the lowstand systems tract （LST）.The marine succession represents deposits of outer shelf offshore to foreshore-beach settings and is composed of an initially deepening and fining upward transgressive systems tract （TST）,followed by a coarsening and shallowing upward highstand systems tract （HST） with a maximum marine flooding surface （MFS） in between,demarcated by a shale-rich condensed *** 3rdcycle,with its prograding alluvial fan and aggrading braided fluvial deposits and restricted occurrence,represents only the low accommodation systems tract（LAST） with

The petrographic and geochemical attributes of the Oligocene Barail Group of rock. are used to decipher the lik.ly source area(s)or tectonic domains,as this sequence of rock. was deposited in a foreland basin governed by orogenic domain,namely the North-east Arunachal *** river system that gave rise to the Brahmaputra River(Yarlung-Tsangpo),which flowed through several tectonic domains of the Himalayan ranges,primarily from BomiChayu,Gangadese Granitoid,Higher Himalayan Leucogranites,and Namche Barwa into the proto Bengal Basin now a part of Assam Arak.n Basin and Naga Schuppen Belt,was the main source of the sandstone formation of the Barail *** purpose of sandstone petrography,which combines modal analysis with XRF(Major Oxides)and HR-ICPMS(Trace&Rare Earth Elements)research,is to identify the type of source rock.s),their weathering pattern,and its paleo-environmental *** sandstones were formed from recycled orogen and include lithic and sublithic arenite variants with advanced texture and chemical *** sediments were felsic(Th/Co:1.38,Cr/Th:9.78,La/Lu:11.58,Th/Sc:0.99,Eu/Eu*:0.66,La/Sc:3.05,La/Co:4.18),with contributions from intermediate source rock. and low-rank.metamorphics deposited in an active continental margin to a continental island arc *** conditions impacted the sediments of Barails,characterised by being warm and semi-humid to humid which resulted in moderate to a high degree of chemical weathering,as shown by weathering indices lik.
