Recent advancements in science and technology,coupled with the proliferation of data,have also urged laboratory medicine to integrate with the era of artificial intelligence(AI)and machine learning(ML).In the current practices of evidencebased medicine,the laboratory tests analysing disease patterns through the association rule mining(ARM)have emerged as a modern tool for the risk assessment and the disease stratification,with the potential to reduce cardiovascular disease(CVD)*** are the well recognised leading global cause of mortality with the higher fatality rates in the Indian population due to associated factors like hypertension,diabetes,and lifestyle ***-driven algorithms have offered deep insights in this field while addressing various challenges such as healthcare systems grappling with the physician *** medicine,well driven by the big data necessitates the integration of ML techniques and high-quality electronic health records to direct the meaningful *** technological advancements enhance the computational analyses for both research and clinical *** plays a pivotal role by uncovering meaningful relationships within databases,aiding in patient survival prediction and risk factor *** potential in laboratory medicine is vast and it must be cautiously integrated while considering potential ethical,legal,and privacy ***,an AI ethics framework is essential to guide its responsible *** AI algorithms with existing lab practices,promoting education among healthcare professionals,and fostering careful integration into clinical settings are imperative for harnessing the benefits of this transformative technology.

Optimal promotional policy of an innovation diffusion model incorporating the brand image in a segment-specific market

This paper addresses the problem of determining the optimal promotional policy for a diffusion model in a segment-specific market under the assumption that the additional demand of the new product also improves brand image in the form of goodwill of the *** model is framed with the assumption that the firm uses the mass and differentiated promotion effort for each *** differentiated promotional efforts target each market segment independently and the mass promotional effort reaches different segments with a fixed *** derive the optimal promotional effort policy for each segment using maximumprinciple and also analyze the stability of the dynamical system by constructing a Lyapunov function through the graph theoretic *** analysis gives a deep insight into how the promotional effort should be planned by the decision makers keeping in mind the financial constrains without hindering the promotional effort at the end of the planning period.

A comprehensive review on pharmacognosy, phytochemistry and pharmacological activities of 8 potent Prunus species of southeast Asia

Genus Prunus comprising around 430 species is a vast important genus of family Rosaceae, subfamily amygdalaoidae. Among all 430 species, around 19 important species are commonly found in Indian subcontinent due to their broad nutritional and economic importance. Some most common species of genus Prunus are Prunus amygdalus, Prunus persica, Prunus armeniaca, Prunus avium, Prunus cerasus, Prunus cerasoides, Prunus domestica, Prunus mahaleb, etc. A newly introduced species of Prunus i.e Prunus sunhangii is recently discovered which is morphologically very similar to Prunus cerasoides. Plants of Prunus species are short to medium-sized deciduous trees mainly found in the northern hemisphere. In India and its subcontinent,it extends from the Himalayas to Sikkim, Meghalaya,Bhutan, Myanmar etc. Different Prunus species have been extensively studied for their morphological,microscopic, pharmacological and phytoconstituents characteristics. Total phenolic content of Prunus species explains the presence of phenols in high quantity and pharmacological activity due to phenols. Phytochemical screening of species of genus Prunus shows the presence of wide phytoconstituents which contributes in their pharmacological significance and reveals the therapeutic potential and traditional medicinal significance of this genus. Genus Prunus showed a potent antioxidant activity analyzed by 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl-hydrazyl radical assay. Plant species belonging to the genus Prunus is widely used traditionally for the treatment of various disorders. Some specific Prunus species possess potent anticancer, anti-inflammatory,hypoglycemic etc. activity which makes the genus more interesting for further research and findings. This review is an attempt to summarize the comprehensive study of Prunus species from its distribution, morphological characters to phytoconstituents, and pharmacological activity.

Improved thermoelectric property of cation-substituted CaMnO_3

Single-phase pristine and cation-substituted calcium manganite（Ca1-xBixMn1-yVyO3-δ） polycrystalline samples were synthesized by the solid state reaction technique. Their thermoelectric properties were measured by a set up that was designed and assembled in the laboratory. The Ca1-x BixMn1-yVyO3-δsample with x = y = 0.04 has shown a power factor（S^2σ） of 176 μW/m/K^2 at 423 K, which is nearly two orders of magnitude higher than that of the pristine sample（2.1 μW/m/K2）. The power factor of the substituted oxide remains almost temperature independent as the Seebeck coefficient increases monotonically with temperature, along with the simultaneous decrease in electrical resistivity which is attributed to enhanced electron density due to co-doping of bismuth and vanadium and grain boundary scattering. These cation-substituted calcium manganites can be used as a potential candidate for an n-type leg in a thermoelectric generator（module）.

A series of 3-ethoxy-4-hydroxybenzylidene/4-nitrobenzylidene hydrazides（1-20） was synthesized and tested for in vitro antimicrobial *** results of antimicrobial studies indicated that the compounds having dinitro,methoxy,hydroxy and nitro substituents on phenyl ring of the aromatic acids were most active *** QSAR investigation indicated the importance of the topological parameter,third order molecular connectivity index（~3x） in describing the antimicrobial activity of synthesized hydrazides.

This review aims to fill the voids and to update the checklist of sandfly fauna along with its spatial distribution in *** databases *** online or offline were searched to deduce the information to systematize the Indian sandfly ***/data retrieved were screened and analysed to further update the available latest *** species name and authorship were given in accord with the International Code for Zoological *** compiled an updated checklist of reported Indian sandfly species along with their state-wise distribution till 2022 as per published *** has maximum number of species reports when compared to other endemic states and states with pockets of *** argentipes is the most widely distributed,recorded so far,followed by other Sergentomiya and Phlebotomus species in *** this review,we have also described the vector and non-vector species of sandfly prevalent in different parts of the *** eoindianensis,an amber fossil sandfly species recorded from Gujarat might be older than other records of Indian sandfly *** far 69 species(4 genera and 15 subgenera/groups)of Phlebotomine sandflies have been recorded in *** knowledge of species diversity and its distribution is a prerequisite for planning a systematic vector control strategy and disease management.

CFD modeling to study the effect of particle size on dispersion in 20l explosion chamber: An overview

Mine disasters occur predominantly due to methane or coal dust explosion or a combination of *** the top ten worst coal mine disasters in India, nine are due to coal dust explosion. The current paper describes a general overview of the parameters causing dispersion leading to coal dust explosion,and computational fluid dynamics(CFD) simulation study to observe the effects of particle size on dispersion in Indian coal mines. Turbulent kinetic energy(TKE) and velocity vector path of dust-air mixture and dust-free air were simulated to understand their effects on coal dust dispersion. The TKE contours and velocity vector paths for dust-free air were uniform and symmetrical due to resistance-free path available. The TKE contours and velocity vector paths for dust-air mixture shows the asymmetrical distribution of contours, due to entrainment of air with dust particles. Vortices were observed in velocity vector paths which gradually diminish on increment of time sequence. These vortices are dead centres where velocity and coal dust particles concentration are both zero.

Free Vibration Analysis of RC Box-Girder Bridges Using FEM

The free vibration analysis of simply supported box-girder bridges is carried out using the finite element *** fundamental frequency is determined in straight,skew,curved and skew-curved box-girder *** is important to analyse the combined effect of skewness and curvature because skew-curved box-girder bridge behaviour cannot be predicted by simply adding the individual effects of skewness and *** first,an existing model is considered to validate the present approach.A convergence study is carried out to decide the mesh size in the finite element *** exhaustive parametric study is conducted to determine the fundamental frequency of box-girder bridges with varying skew angle,curve angle,span,span-depth ratio and cell *** skew angle is varied from 0°to 60°,curve angle is varied from 0°to 60°,span is changed from 25 to 50 m,span-depth ratio is varied from 10 to 16,and single cell&double cell are used in the present study.A total of 420 bridge models are used for parametric study in the *** shapes of the skew-curved bridge are also *** fundamental frequency of the skew-curved box-girder bridge is found to be more than the straight bridge,so,the skew-curved box-girder bridge is *** present study may be useful in the design of box-girder bridges.
