Cytomegalovirus(CMV) infection is associated with adverse clinical outcomes in immunosuppressed *** incidence and association of CMV reactivation with adverse clinical outcomes in critically ill persons lacking evidence of immunosuppression at ICU admission has received great attention in the practice of critical care *** ill patients in ICU who had associated risk factors such as mechanical ventilation,severe sepsis, or blood transfusion are more prone to CMV activation,which in turn led to increased mortality and morbidity in tenns of increased ICU stay,longer duration of mechanical ventilation,and higher rates of nosocomial ***,severe CMV as initial presentation mimicking dengue infection is *** recently came across seven cases with positive CMV serology at ICU admission,which we discuss in the light of current literature.

Machine learning(ML)has emerged as a significant tool in the field of biorefinery,offering the capability to analyze and predict complex processes with *** article reviews the current state of biorefinery and its classification,highlighting various commercially successful ***,we delve into different categories of ML models,including their algorithms and applications in various stages of biorefinery lifecycle,such as biomass characterization,pretreatment,lignin valorization,chemical,thermochemical and biochemical conversion processes,supply chain analysis,and life cycle *** benefits and limitations of each of these algorithms are discussed in ***,the article concludes with a discussion of the limitations and future prospects of ML in the field of biorefineries.

Many prevalent practices and guidelines related to Gastrointestinal endoscopy and procedural sedation are at odds with the widely available scientific-physiological and clinical outcome data. In many institutions, strict policy of pre-procedural extended fasting is still rigorously enforced, despite no evidence of increased incidence of aspiration after recent oral intake prior to sedation. Supplemental oxygen administration in the setting of GI procedural sedation has been increasingly adopted as reported in the medical journals, despite clear evidence that supplemental oxygen blunts the usefulness of pulse oximetry in timely detection of sedation induced hypoventilation, leading to increased number of adverse cardiopulmonary outcomes. Use of Propofol by Gastroenterologist-Nurse team is erroneously considered dangerous and often prohibited in various institutions, at the same time worldwide reports of remarkable safety and patient satisfaction continue to be published, dating back more than a decade. Of patient monitoring practices that have been advocated to be standard, many merely add cost, not value. Advances in the technology often are not incorporated in a timely manner in guidelines or clinical practices, e.g., Capsule endoscopy or electrocautery during GI procedures do not interfere with proper functioning of the current pacemakers or defibrillators. Orthopedic surgeons have continued to recommend prophylactic antibiotics for joint replacement patientsprior to GI procedures, without any evidence of need. These myths are explored for a succint review to prompt a change in clinical practices and institutional policies.

Medicinal herbs are well known and studied over the past millennia in most of the developing countries as a rational means of treatment against various diseases and ***(WDL),a major bioactive compound in Eclipta prostrata L(Eclipta alba L),has been reported with potential benefits in human health against chronic ***,a comprehensive study on WDL pharmacological benefits in various ailments,to the best of our knowledge,is not yet ***,the present review provides the recent therapeutic applications in reference to biological and functional activities against major human chronic diseases,including cardiovascular,cancer,diabetes mellitus,liver disease,Alzheimer’s disease,and androgenetic *** this study,we collected all the relevant experimental information on WDL from Scientific databases such as PubMed,Web of Science,Science Direct,and Google ***,WDL is recognized as a key anti-oxidant with both specific regulator and inhibitor of major drug targetable proteins in human chronic diseases and ***,WDL as a novel therapeutic bioactive molecule is advised to explore further for relevant pharmacological activities.

This research introduces a challenge in integrating and cleaning the data,which is a crucial task in object *** the object is detected and then measured,the vibration at different light intensities may inﬂuence the durability and reliability of mechanical systems or structures and cause problems such as damage,abnormal stopping,and *** research failed to improve the accuracy rate and the computation time in tracking an object and in the vibration *** solve all these problems,this proposed research simpliﬁes the scaling factor determination by assigning a known real-world dimension to a predetermined portion of the image.A novel white color sticker of the known dimensions marked with a color dot is pasted on the surface of an object for the best result in the template matching using the Improved Up-Sampled Cross-Correlation(UCC)*** vibration measurement is calculated using the Finite-Difference Algorithm(FDA),a machine vision systemﬁtted with a macro lens sensor that is capable of capturing the image at a closer range,which does not affect the quality of displacement measurement from the video ***ﬁeld test was conducted on the TAFE(Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited)tractor parts,and the percentage of error was recorded between 30%and 50%at very low vibration values close to zero,whereas it was recorded between 5%and 10%error in most high-accelerations,the essential range for vibration ***,the suggested system is more suitable for measuring the vibration of stationary machinery having low frequency *** use of a macro lens enables to capture of image frames at very close-ups.A 30%to 50%error percentage has been reported when the vibration amplitude is very ***,this study is not suitable for Nano vibration analysis.

Dyes are an integral part of the dying industry and have significantly resulted in environmental pollution by altering the standardwater quality after their discharge into the water *** culprits behind the altered water quality are the pretreatment chemicals used during dying manufacturing *** advanced treatmentmethods using conventional and advanced treatment options including solar energy have been put forth by researchers for the treatment of the dying effluents but,these methods have not proved significantly ***,the present study intends to check the efficiency of solar parabolic trough collector for treating the dying effluents in terms of color and ***,other wastewater parameters(BOD,nitrate and phosphate)have also been considered for this experimental *** standard flow rates(0.5,1.3,1.95 and 2.6 L/M)were maintained during the experiment for six hours at solar intensity(849.3±21.2W/m^(2))and the optimized flow rate(1.95 L/M)was detected and considered for further study during the present *** color concentration showed a significant reduction(≥76.4%)by treatment with the designed solar *** significant results were also noticed in terms of COD(79%).In this context,the current experimental study provides ideas on the decolorization and COD reduction efficiency with optimal flow rate in terms of cost-effectiveness with designed experimental reactor which could be further used and implemented for advanced scientific purposes.

In machine learning and data mining,feature selection(FS)is a traditional and complicated optimization *** the run time increases exponentially,FS is treated as an NP-hard *** researcher’s effort to build a new FS solution was inspired by the ongoing need for an efficient FS framework and the success rates of swarming outcomes in different optimization *** paper presents two binary variants of a Hunger Games Search Optimization(HGSO)algorithm based on V-and S-shaped transfer functions within a wrapper FS model for choosing the best features from a large *** proposed technique transforms the continuous HGSO into a binary variant using V-and S-shaped transfer functions(BHGSO-V and BHGSO-S).To validate the accuracy,16 famous UCI datasets are considered and compared with different state-of-the-art metaheuristic binary *** findings demonstrate that BHGSO-V achieves better performance in terms of the selected number of features,classification accuracy,run time,and fitness values than other state-of-the-art *** results demonstrate that the BHGSO-V algorithm can reduce dimensionality and choose the most helpful features for classification *** proposed BHGSO-V achieves 95%average classification accuracy for most of the datasets,and run time is less than 5 *** low and medium dimensional datasets and less than 10 sec for high dimensional datasets.

It is globally accepted that soil carbon （C） dynamics are at the core of interlinked environmental problems, deteriorating soil quality and changing climate. Its management remains a complex enigma for the scientific community due to its intricate relationship with soil nitrogen （N） availability and moisture-temperature interactions. This article reviews the management aspects of soil C dynamics in light of recent advances, particularly in relation to the availability of inorganic N pools and associated microbial processes under changing climate. Globally, drastic alterations in soil C dynamics under changing land use and management practices have been primarily attributed to the variation in soil N availability, resulting in a higher decomposition rate and a considerable decline in soil organic C （SOC） levels due to increased soil CO2 emissions, degraded soil quality, and increased atmospheric CO2 concentrations, leading to climate warming. Predicted climate warming is proposed to enhance SOC decomposition, which may further increase soil N availability, leading to higher soil CO2 effiux. However, a literature survey revealed that soil may also act as a potential C sink, if we could manage soil inorganic N pools and link microbial processes properly. Studies also indicated that the relative, rather than the absolute, availability of inorganic N pools might be of key importance under changing climate, as these N pools are variably affected by moisture-temperature interactions, and they have variable impacts on SOC turnover. Therefore, multi-factorial studies are required to understand how the relative availability of inorganic N pools and associated microbial processes may determine SOC dynamics for improved soil C management.

Dear Editor,Influenza affects humans of all ages;however,elderly people have increased susceptibility to infections and are especially predisposed to complications.1 A number of global efforts have increased influenza vaccination administration in elderly people to reduce complications,particularly when seasonal influenza infections peak.2 To date,much is known about how influenza infection and host immunity interact during pathogenesis,which has led to a number of vaccines.3,4 However,the impact of influenza vaccines in older people is modest.2 Hence,the underlying pathophysiological mechanisms responsible for the worsening of influenza infection in old age are still elusive.

Diabetic nephropathy is the kidney disease that occurs as a result of *** and renal complications share common risk factors such as blood pressure,blood lipids,and glycemic ***,chronic kidney disease may predict cardiovascular disease in the general *** impact of diabetes on renal impairment changes with increasing *** markers of glomerular filtration rate and microalbuminuria identify renal impairment in different segments of the diabetic population,indicating that serum markers as well as microalbuminuria tests should be used in screening for nephropathy in diabetic older *** American Diabetes Association and the National Institutes of Health recommend Estimated glomerular filtration rate(eGFR) calculated from serum creatinine at least once a year in all people with diabetes for detection of kidney *** remains an independent and significant predictor after adjustment for conventional risk factors including age,sex,duration of diabetes,smoking,obesity,blood pressure,and glycemic and lipid control,as well as presence of diabetic ***-C(Cys C) may in future be the preferred marker of diabetic nephropathy due differences in measurements of serum creatinine by various *** appropriate reference limit for Cys C in geriatric clinical practice must be defined by further *** studies have shown the importance of measurement of albuminuria,eGFR,serum creatinine and hemoglobin level to further enhance the prediction of end stage renal disease.
