Sugarcane is a major food and bioenergy crop *** pro-duces~80%of sugar consumed worldwide,with Brazil and India together accounting for 61%of world sugarcane produc-tion in 2021[1].Globally,sugarcane is the 5th largest crop by production value and acreage,and it is also the second largest bioenergy crop[1,2].Modern sugarcane is an interspecific hybrid(Saccharum species hybrid)of wild progenitor species Saccharum officinarum(2n=80;x=10)andSaccharumspon-taneum(2n=40 to 130;x=8)[3].This genetically complex polyploid crop with varied chromosome numbers(100 to 130)has one of the largest genomes(~10 kb)among plants,making sugarcane breeding considerably slow and challenging.

We report structural, optical, and ferroelectric behaviors of lithium-doped copper oxide （CU1-xLixO with x = 0.0, 0.05, 0.07, and 0.09） nanostructures synthesized by hydrothermal method. The XrD pattern indicates the pure phase formation of CuO without any impurity, and the crystallite size is found to be increases for x = 0-0.07 and decreases for x = 0.09. FESEM analysis shows that the average size of Cul xLixO nanostructures increases with the increasing the Li-doping concentrations up to 7% and then decreases for 9% Li doping concentration. Moreover, raman and photoluminescence spectrum also confirm the phase formation of CuO. A significant reduction in optical band gap is observed up to x = 0.07, and then band gap increases for x ~ 0.09 due to segregation of the impurities on the surface or grain boundaries, which may suppress the grain growth and results the enhancement in optical band gap. Moreover, a weak ferroelectricity is observed in CuO nanostructures for pure and 9% Li doping through polarization versus electric field （P- E）.

Accuracy in predictions leads to better planning with a minimum of opportunity lost. In open pit mining,the complexity of operations, coupled with a highly uncertain and dynamic production environment,limit the accuracy of predictions and force a reactive planning approach to mitigate deviations from original plans. A simulation optimization framework/tool is presented in this paper to account for uncertainties in mining operations for robust short-term production planning and proactive decision making. This framework/tool uses a discrete event simulation model of mine operations, which interacts with a goalprogramming based mine operational optimization tool to develop an uncertainty based short-term schedule. Using scenario analysis, this framework allows the planner to make proactive decisions to achieve the mine's operational and long-term objectives. This paper details the development of simulation and optimization models and presents the implementation of the framework on an iron ore mine case study for verification through scenario analysis.

Objective:To investigate the in vitro antioxidant and antiproliferative activity of rhizome extracts of rhodiola imbricata(***) in HT-29 human colon cancer cell ***:The successively extracted rhizome of *** using various solvents was analyzed for their total phenolics,tannins and flavonoid *** vitro antioxidant activity was evaluated by employing different assays,including DPPH,ABTS radical scavenging assays,FrAP, phosphomolybdenum reduction assay,superoxide anion,hydroxyl radical scavenging activities and metal chelating ***:Acetone and methanol extracts recorded higher phenolic content and showed comparable antioxidant activity with standard ***,they also inhibited the proliferation of HT-29 cells upon treatment at higher concentration(200μg/mL) (acetone and methanol,84%and 84%.respectively).On examination acetone extract exhibited antiproliferative activity in a concentration dependent manner whereas,methanol extract showed both dose dependent and lime dependent inhibitory ***:The results obtained justify the traditional usage of *** from their promising antioxidant activity.

Leakage flux generated in the power transformers cause stray losses in metallic parts of the *** losses largely affect the transformer hot spot which leads to thermal *** is necessary to mitigate the impact of leakage flux on metallic parts by employing magnetic shunts and eddy current *** clamping structures like flitch plate and end frames experience substantial losses,hence combinations of shielding can be used for better loss *** this study,a case study is performed on a 315 MVA,420/27 kV single-phase generator power *** work is based on coupled three-dimensional(3D)finite-element analysis(FEA)of the transformer model.A new type of magnetic shunt is explored;also different design combinations of shielding are specified in this work for efficient mitigation of hot spots as well as tank walls.
