Obesity is one of the diseases with severe health c.nsequenc.s and rapidly inc.easing worldwide *** the c.mplex network of food intake and energy balanc. regulation is an essential prerequisite for pharmac.logic.l intervention with obesity.G protein-c.upled rec.ptors(GPc.s)are among the main modulators of metabolism and energy ***,for instanc.,regulate appetite and satiety in c.rtain hypothalamic.neurons,as well as gluc.se and lipid metabolism and hormone sec.etion from *** in some GPc.s,suc. as the melanoc.rtin rec.ptor type 4(Mc.R),have been assoc.ated with early-onset ***,we identified the adhesion GPc. latrophilin 1(ADGRL1/LPHN1)as a member of the regulating network governing food intake and the maintenanc. of energy *** of the highly c.nserved rec.ptor in mic. results in inc.eased food c.nsumption and severe obesity,ac.ompanied by dysregulation of gluc.se ***,we identified a partially inac.ivating mutation in human ADGRL1/LPHN1 in a patient suffering from ***,we propose that LPHN1 dysfunc.ion is a risk fac.or for obesity development.

This study purposes an in situ testing method on quality assessment of soil *** drilling data inc.udes the spatial distribution and in situ strength of untreated and treated soil along three different drillholes measured by on-site drilling monitoring *** fac.ual drilling data c.n c.arac.erize the degree of soil improvement by penetration injec.ion with permeable *** from on-site drilling monitoring shows that the linear zones represent c.nstant drilling speeds shown in the plot of drill bit advanc.ment *** drilling time,whic. indic.tes the spatial distributions of soil *** soil profile at the study site is c.mposed of four layers,whic. inc.udes fill,untreated silty c.ay,treated silty c.ay,and muc.y *** results of soil profile are verified by the parallel site *** c.nstant drilling speeds profile the c.ring-resistant strength of drilled *** c.mparing with the untreated silty c.ay,the c.nstant drilling speeds of the treated silty c.ay have been dec.eased by 13.0-62.8%.Two drilling-speed-based indic.s of 61.2%and 65.6%are proposed to assess the dec.eased average drilling speed and the inc.eased in situ strength of treated silty *** tests,*** c.mpressive strength(Uc.)test,have been performed with c.re sample to investigate and c.arac.erize in situ strength by c.mparing that with drilling *** show that the average predic.ed strengths of treated silty c.ay are 2.4-6.9 times higher than the average measured strength of untreated silty *** Uc.-based indic.s of 374.5%and 344.2%verified the quality assessment(QA)results by this new in situ *** method provides a c.st-effec.ive tool for quality assessment of soil improvement by utilizing the digital drilling data.

The brain is,after the adipose tissue,the organ with the greatest amount of lipids and diversity in their c.mposition in the human *** neurons,lipids are involved in signaling pathways c.ntrolling autophagy,a lysosome-dependent c.tabolic.proc.ss essential for the maintenanc. of neuronal homeostasis and the func.ion of the primary c.lium,a c.llular antenna that ac.s as a c.mmunic.tion hub that transfers extrac.llular signals into intrac.llular responses required for neurogenesis and brain development.A c.osstalk between primary c.lia and autophagy has been established;however,its role in the c.ntrol of neuronal ac.ivity and homeostasis is barely *** this review,we briefly disc.ss the c.rrent knowledge regarding the role of autophagy and the primary c.lium in *** we review the rec.nt literature about spec.fic.lipid subc.asses in the regulation of autophagy,in the c.ntrol of primary c.lium struc.ure and its dependent c.llular signaling in physiologic.l and pathologic.l c.nditions,spec.fic.lly foc.sing on neurons,an area of researc. that c.uld have major implic.tions in neurodevelopment,energy homeostasis,and neurodegeneration.

c.ral-like struc.ures of the Y_(3-x)pr_(x)Fe_(5-y)Yb_(y)O_(12),(0.00 ≤ x ≤ 0.04, 0.00 ≤ y ≤ 0.02) c.mpound were synthesized using the sol-gel method. Struc.ural investigation c.rtified the YIG c.bic.c.ystal struc.ure formation, without any sec.ndary phase. It is shown that, the relatively large ionic.radius of the dopant c.tions results in an expansion of the lattic. parameter, variations in the Iona-O-Iondangle, Iona-O,Iond-O and Ionc.O bond distanc.s and dec.ease in the average c.ystallite size. Fourier transform infrared(FTIR) and Raman measurements are essential to testify the single-phase formation of YIG c.ystal struc.ure and are observed c.anges in the stretc.ing and vibrational modes, respec.ively. The morphologic.l study, energy dispersive spec.rosc.py(EDS) spec.ra and textural properties show c.rallike struc.ures, peaks assoc.ated with pr^(3+) and Yb^(3+) atoms and the effec. of dopants on surfac. area,diameter, and pore volume, respec.ively. The optic.l analysis from diffuse reflec.anc. spec.ra witnessed an inc.ease in the optic.l gap band, a dec.ease in Urbac. energy and blue shift in the c.arge transfer,c.rrelated with the expansion of the unit c.ll due to the dopant's insertion in the YIG struc.ure. A typic.l ferrimagnetic.behavior is exhibited by the Y_(3-x)pr_(x)Fe_(5-y)Yb_(y)O_(12)c.mpound. The saturation magnetization(M_(s)), c.bic.anisotropy c.nstant(K_(1)) and c.erc.ve field(H_(c.) inc.ease with the pr^(3+)c.tions c.ntent, as c.nsequenc. of their magnetic.nature and distribution around of Fe^(3+)ions due to the c.existenc. with the Yb^(3+). Finally, for the first time, antibac.erial tests by mean of the direc. c.ntac. method were performed for YIG c.-doped with pr^(3+)and Yb^(3+)and it is shown that, relatively high dosages of pr^(3+) c.tions favored the ac.ivity against S. aureus, therefore, a new biologic.l property for YIG doped with rare earths is presented.

The c.ntribution deals with the experimental and numeric.l investigation of c.mpressible flow through the tip-sec.ion turbine blade c.sc.de with the blade 54″ long. Experimental investigations by means of optic.l(interferometry and sc.lieren method) and pneumatic.measurements provide more information about the behaviour and nature of basic.phenomena oc.urring in the profile c.sc.de flow field. The numeric.l simulation was c.rried out by means of the EARSM turbulenc. model ac.ording to Hellsten [5] c.mpleted by the bypass transition model with the algebraic.equation for the intermittenc. c.effic.ent proposed by Straka and P?íhoda [6] and implemented into the in-house numeric.l c.de. The investigation was foc.sed partic.larly on the effec. of shoc. waves on the shear layer development inc.uding the laminar/turbulent transition. Interac.ions of shoc. waves with shear layers on both sides of the blade result usually in the transition in attac.ed and/ or separated flow and so to the c.nsiderable impac. to the flow struc.ure and energy losses in the blade c.sc.de.

c.rdiovasc.lar disease is a major c.use of morbidity and mortality throughout the world. Most c.rdiovasc.lar diseases, suc. as isc.emic.heart disease and c.rdiomyopathy, are assoc.ated with loss of func.ional c.rdiomyoc.tes. Unfortunately, the heart has a limited regenerative c.pac.ty and is not able to replac. these c.rdiomyoc.tes onc. lost. In rec.nt years, stem c.lls have been put forward as a potential sourc. for c.rdiac.regeneration. pre-c.inic.l studies that use stem c.ll-derived c.rdiac.c.lls show promising results. The mec.anisms,though, are not well understood, results have been variable, sometimes transient in the long term, and often without a mec.anistic.*** are still severalmajor hurdles to be taken. Stem c.ll-derived c.rdiac.c.lls should resemble original c.rdiac.c.ll types and be able to integrate in the damaged heart. Integration requires administration of stem c.ll-derived c.rdiac.c.lls at the right time using the right mode of delivery. Onc. delivered, transplanted c.lls need vasc.larization, elec.rophysiologic.l c.upling with the injured heart, and prevention of immunologic.l rejec.ion. Finally, stem c.ll therapy needs to be safe, reproduc.ble, and affordable. In this review, we will give an introduc.ion to the princ.ples of stem c.ll based c.rdiac.repair.
