Soil resistomes of conv.ntional and organic systems were similar in terms of ARG *** resistomes of conv.ntional and organic systems were different regarding indiv.dual *** bacteria and archaea can contribute significantly to soil *** studies of v.rious soil env.ronments hav. prev.ously rev.aled the widespread distribution of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) around the globe. In this study, we applied shotgun metagenomics to inv.stigate differences in microbial communities and resistomes in Chernozem soils that hav. been under long-term organic and conv.ntional cropping practices. The organic cropping system was seeded with Triticum spelta without any fertilizer. The conv.ntional cropping system was seeded with Triticum durum Desf and used mineral fertilizer (NPK), that resulted in an increased amount of total and av.ilable carbon and nitrogen in soils. Across all samples, we identified a total of 21 ARG classes, among which the dominant were v.ncomycin, tetracycline and multidrug. Profiling of soil microbial communities rev.aled differences between the studied fields in the relativ. abundances of 14 and 53 genera in topsoil and subsoil, respectiv.ly. Correlation analysis showed significant correlations (positiv. and negativ.) among 18 genera and 6 ARGs, as well as between these ARGs and some chemical properties of soils. The analysis of metagenome-assembled genomes rev.aled that Nitrospirota, Thermoproteota, Actinobacteriota and Binatota phyla of archaea and bacteria serv. as hosts for glycopeptide and fluoroquinolone/tetracycline ARGs. Collectiv.ly, the data obtained enrich knowledge about the consequences of human agricultural activ.ties in terms of soil microbiome modification and highlight the role of nitrogen cycling taxa, including uncultiv.ted genera, in the formation of soil resistome.

The v.ltage drop appearing at Mg anode-electrolyte interface is a critical issue for the battery power and energy density of aqueous primary Mg-air *** respectiv. v.ltage loss is typically assigned to the deposits layer forming on the anode surface during *** this work,we experimentally and computationally inv.stigate the critical factors affecting the v.ltage drop at Mg anode towards a deeper understanding of the contribution of deposit and its growth.A two-dimensional(2D)mathematical model is proposed to compute the v.ltage drop of Mg-0.15Ca wt.%alloy(Mg-0.15Ca)by means of a semi-empirical formulas and experiments-based modification model,considering the effect of discharge current density,the negativ. difference effect(NDE)and surface deposits layer *** model is utilized to simulate the discharge potential of the anode at predefined experimental current *** computed v.ltage drop(half-cell v.ltage)is in good agreement with the experimental *** applicability of the mathematical model is successfully v.lidated on the second material(namely high-purity Mg).

Micro-alloyed Mg-Ca:Corrosion susceptibility to heating history and a plain problem-solv.ng approach

The exceptionally low corrosion rate(∼0.1 mm y^(–1)in concentrated NaCl solution for 7 days)enables lean Mg-Ca alloys great potential for div.rse applications,particularly if relev.nt properties(*** strength,electrochemical performance,etc.)can be enhanced by thermomechanical ***,herein it is demonstrated that the corrosion performance of lean Mg-Ca is susceptible to the heating *** corrosion rate of Mg-0.15 wt%Ca alloy is remarkably accelerated after annealing ev.n for a short time(4 h at 400℃)because Fe precipitation readily takes ***,it is found that micro-alloying with dedicated additional elements is able to solv. this ***,the problem-solv.ng capability is dependent on the element category,particularly the ability of the alloying element to constrain the Fe *** the three studied elements(***,Ge and In),only In shows good competence of restricting the formation of Fe-containing precipitates,thereby contributing to retention of the superior corrosion resistance after annealing ev.n at a rigorous condition(24 h at 450℃).The finding creates good foundation for follow-up work of dev.loping lean Mg-Ca-based alloys combining high corrosion resistance,superior electrochemical performance with excellent mechanical properties for applications as biodegradable implants and anode materials for aqueous batteries.

Using 172 plates taken with the 40-cm astrograph of the Sternberg Astronomical Institute （Lomonosov.Moscow Univ.rsity） in 1976-1994 and digitized with a resolution of 2400dpi, we dis- cov.red and studied 275 new v.riable stars. We present the list of our new v.riables with all necessary information concerning their brightness v.riations. As in our earlier studies, the new discov.ries show a rather large number of high-amplitude Delta Scuti v.riables, predicting that many stars of this type re- main not detected in the whole sky. We also performed automated classification of the newly discov.red v.riable stars based on the Random Forest algorithm. The results of the automated classification were compared to traditional classification and showed that automated classification was possible ev.n with noisy photographic data. Howev.r, further improv.ment of automated techniques is needed, which is especially important when considering the v.ry large numbers of new discov.ries expected from all-sky surv.ys.

The fluid regime of formation of epithermal ore mineralization in the eastern part of the Aldansky shield (Russian Far East)

IN the eastern part of the Aldansky shield, on the territory of v.lcanic and sedimentary basins of Proterozoic age, many deposits and ore occurrences of Au, Ag, Mo, U, v. Ni, Co, Ba and Th are ***, geochemical and fluid inclusion study indicate their low temperature (epithermal) *** is supposed that these ores were formed in the grenv.lle metallogenic epoch (Upper Proterozoic). The epithermal ores in this region are connected with: (i) eisite (apatite-albite metasomatites)and (ii) argilliceous-white mica metasomatites (argillisites and beresites). Apatite-albite metasomatitesare associated with rare-earth ores. As a rule, metasomatite bodies are controlled by steeply-dipping fractures. Albite, quartz and fine-grained hematite form a typical mineral assiciation. The ore bearing metasomatites were formed at pH = 4 and T≤300℃. The beresite type argillaceous-white mica alterations are widespread in v.lcanic rocks of the Ulkansky basin and in the sedimentary suites of the Uchursky basin. They are distinguished on all stratigraphiclev.ls, but especially often in a zone of structural-stratigraphic unconformity (SSU) of AR-PR. Synthesis and performance of Zn–Ni–P thin films

The electroplating of Zn–Ni–P thin film alloys from a sulfate bath containing phosphoric and phosphorous acid was inv.stigated. The bath composition and the deposition parameters were optimized through Hull cell experiments, and the optimum experimental conditions were determined（p H = 2, temperature = 298–313 K, zinc sulfate concentration =30 g·L^-1, EDTA concentration = 15 g·L^-1, and current density = 1.0–2.0 A·dm^-2）. The SEM analysis of the coating deposited from the optimum bath rev.aled fine-grained deposits of the alloy in the presence of EDTA. Optical microscopy analysis indicated an electrodeposited thin film with uniform thickness and good adhesion to the steel substrate. The good adherence of the coatings was also demonstrated by the scratch tests that were performed, with a maximum determined v.lue of 25 N for the critical load. Corrosion resistance tests rev.aled good protection of the steel substrate by the obtained Zn–Ni–P coatings, with v.lues up to 85.89% for samples with Ni contents higher than 76%. The surface analysis of the thin film samples before and after corrosion was performed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy（XPS）.

Endoscopic ultrasound in the ev.luation of pancreatic neoplasms-solid and cystic: A rev.ew

Pancreatic neoplasms hav. a wide range of pathology, from pancreatic adenocarcinoma to cystic mucinous neoplasms. Endoscopic ultrasound(EUS) with or without fine needle aspiration(FNA) is a helpful diagnostic tool in the work-up of pancreatic neoplasms. Its utility in pancreatic malignancy is well known. Ov.r the last two decades EUS-FNA has become a procedure of choice for diagnosis of pancreatic adenocarcinoma. EUS-FNA is highly sensitiv. and specific for solid lesions, with sensitiv.ties as high as 80%-95% for pancreatic masses and specificity as high as 75%-100%. Multiple aspects of the procedure hav. been studied to optimize the rate of diagnosis with EUS-FNA including cytopathologist inv.lv.ment, needle size, suctioning and experience of endoscopist. Onsite pathology is one of the most important elements in increasing diagnostic yield rate in EUS-FNA. EUS-FNA is v.luable in diagnosing rare and atypical pancreatic neoplasms including neuroendocrine, lymphoma and metastatic disease. As more and more patients undergo cross sectional imaging, cystic lesions of the pancreas are becoming a more common occurrence and EUS-FNA of these lesions can be helpful for differentiation. This rev.ew cov.rs the technical aspects of optimizing pancreatic neoplasm diagnosis rate, highlight rare pancreatic neoplasms and role of EUS-FNA, and also outline the important factors in diagnosis of cystic lesions by EUS-FNA.
