Oncofertility is an extremely signiﬁcant topic that is increasingly being discussed owing to increased evidence indicating that fertility preservation does not affect the treatment outcomes of patients with cancer but signiﬁcantly contributes to preserving life *** effect of chemotherapy can range from minimal effects to complete ovarian *** data are available on the effects of monoclonal antibodies and targeted therapies on the ovaries and *** ovarian suppression by administering a gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist(GnRHa)during chemotherapy decreases the gonadotoxic effect of chemotherapy,thereby diminishing the chance of developing premature ovarian insufﬁciency(POI).At present,the concomitant administration of GnRH analogs during chemotherapy is the only accepted pharmacological method for preserving ovarian ***,most randomized studies on the effectiveness of luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone agonists during chemotherapy in preventing POI have been conducted in women with breast cancer,with a considerably small number of studies on patients with hematological ***,most randomized controlled trials on breast cancer have revealed a decrease in treatment-induced POI risk,regardless of the hormone receptor *** addition,studies on hematological malignancies have yielded negative results;nevertheless,theﬁndings must be interpreted with caution owing to numerous *** guidelines from the American Society of Clinical Oncology and ESMO Clinical Practice Guidelines recommend sperm,oocyte,and embryo cryopreservation as a standard practice and only offering GnRHa to patients when proven fertility preservation methods are not *** this manuscript,we present a comprehensive literature overview on the application of ovarian suppression with GnRHa during chemotherapy in patients with cancer by addressing preclinical and clinical data,as well as future perspectives in thisﬁeld

dielectric and infrared properties of SrTiO_3 single crystal doped by 3d (V,Mn,Fe,Ni) and 4f (Nd,Sm,Er) ions

In this study, the effects of doping by 3d （V, Mn, Fe, Ni） and 4f （Nd, Sm, Er） ions on dielectric and infrared properties of SrTiO3 （STO） single crystals are investigated. It is well known that doping of the SrTiO3 can change the dielectric properties of the STO from an insulator to an n-type semiconductor, and even to a metallic conductor. dielectric and infrared （IR） properties of the undoped STO and doped STO single crystals are analyzed using dielectric spectroscopy （80 kHz-5 MHz）, transmission （200 cm^-1-4000 cm^-1）, and reflection spectroscopy （50 cm^-1-2000 cm^-1）. It is found that doping by the 3d ions reduces the value of dielectric permittivity, but the trend of temperature dependence of the dielectric permittivity remains almost unchanged. On the other hand, dielectric spectroscopy measurements for samples doped by 4f ions show the anomalous behaviors of the dielectric permittivity at temperatures around the temperature of the structural phase transition. There are two fractures of temperature dependences of inverse dielectric permittivity εr^-1 （T）. Transmittance spectroscopy measurements show that there are differences in the shape of the spectrum in the mid-IR region between the undoped STO and the one doped by 4f ions. The differences in the reflectance spectrum between the STO：Nd and STO are analyzed in detail.

Hepatic abscess secondary to a rosemary twig migrating from the stomach into the liver

The ingestion of a foreign body that penetrates the gastric wall and migrates to the liver,where it causes an abscess is uncommon. A case of an ingested rosemary twig perforating the gastric antrum,then migrating to the liver,complicated by hepatic abscess and Staphylococcus aureus sepsis is reported. A 59-year-old man without a history of foreign body ingestion was admitted to our hospital because of sepsis and epigastralgia,which had progressively worsened. No foreign body was identified at preoperative imaging,but a rosemary twig was discovered during laparotomy. The liver abscess and sepsis were controlled successfully with surgery and antibiotics. This unusual condition should be kept in mind when dealing with cases of hepatic abscess,or even sepsis of unknown origin. despite the improvement of non-surgical techniques such as percutaneous drainage and interventional endoscopy,surgery still remains important in the treatment of hepatic abscess caused by an ingested foreign body.

TG-interacting Factor(TGIF) downregulates SOX3 Gene Expression in the NT2/d1 Cell Line

SOX3 is a member of the Sox gene family implicated in brain formation and cognitive function. It is considered to be one of the earliest neural markers in vertebrates, playing a role in specifying neuronal fate. Recently, we have established the first link between TALE （three- amino-acid loop extension） proteins, PBX1 （pre-B-cell leukemia homeobox 1） and MEIS1 （myeloid ecotropic viral integration site 1 homologue）, and the expression of the human SOX3 gene. Here we present the evidence that TGIF （TG-interacting factor） is an additional TALE superfamily member involved in the regulation of human SOX3 gene expression in NT2/d1 cells by direct interaction with the consensus binding site that is conserved in primate orthologue promoters. Functional analysis demonstrated that mutation of the TGIF binding site resulted in the activation of SOX3 promoter. TGIF overexpression downregulates SOX3 promoter activity and decreases endogenous SOX3 protein expression in both uninduced and retinoic acid （RA）-induced NT2/d1 ceils. Up to now, this is the first transcription factor identified as a negative regulator of SOX3 gene expression. The obtained results further underscore the significance of TALE proteins as important transcriptional regulators of SOX3 gene expression.

Objective To investigate involvement of the aryl hydrocarbon receptor(Ah R)in the immunomodulatory effects of cadmium(Cd).Methods The effect of Cd on Ah R activation(CYP1 A1 and CYP1 B1 m RNA expression)was examined in lung leukocytes of Cd-exposed rats(5 and 50 mg/L,30 d orally)and by in vitro leukocyte *** involvement of Ah R signaling in the effects of Cd on the interleukin(IL)-1β,IL-6,and tumor necrosis factor(TNF)lung leukocyte response was investigated in vitro using the receptor antagonist *** Cd increased CYP1 B1(in vivo and in vitro)and CYP1 A1(in vitro)m RNA,indicating Ah R involvement in the action of *** response to Cd,lung leukocytes increased IL-6 and decreased TNF at the gene expression and protein levels,but decreased IL-1βproduction due to reduced *** Ah R antagonist CH-223191 abrogated the observed effects of Cd on the cytokine *** absence of Ah R reactivity and cytokine response to Cd of leukocytes from the lungs of a rat strain that is less sensitive to Cd toxicity coincided with a high Ah R repressor m RNA *** Ah R signaling is involved in the lung leukocyte proinflammatory cytokine response to *** relevance of the Ah R to the cytokine response to Cd provides new insight into the mechanisms of Cd immunotoxicity.

AIM： To search the pathophysiological mechanism of diarrhea based on daily stool weights, fecal electrolytes, osmotic gap and pH. METHOdS： Seventy-six patients were included： 51 with microscopic colitis （MC） [40 with lymphocytic colitis （LC）; 11 with collagenous colitis （CC）], 7 with MC without diarrhea and 18 as a control group （CG）. They collected stool for 3 d. Sodium and potassium concentration were determined by flame photometry and chloride concentration by titration method of Schales. Fecal osmotic gap was calculated from the difference of osmolarity of fecal fluid and double sum of sodium and potassium concentration. RESULTS： Fecal fluid sodium concentration was significantly increased in LC 58.11±5.38 mmol/L （P〈0.01） and CC 54.14±8.42 mmol/L （P〈0.05） than in CG 34.28±2.98 mmol/L. Potassium concentration in LC 74.65±5.29 mmol/L （P〈0.01） and CC 75.53±8.78 mmol/L （P〈0.05） was significantly less compared to CG 92.67±2.99 mmol/L. Chloride concentration in CC 36.07±7.29 mmol/L was significantly higher than in CG 24.11±2.05 mmol/L（P〈0.05）. Forty-four （86.7%） patients had a secretory diarrhea compared to fecal osmotic gap. Seven （13.3%） patients had osmotic diarrhea. CONCLUSION： diarrhea in MC mostly belongs to thesecretory type. The major pathophysiological mechanism in LC could be explained by a decrease of active sodium absorption. In CC, decreased CI/HCO3 exchange rate and increased chloride secretion are coexistent pathways.

Influence of Conative Characteristics on Special Olympics Athletes and Unified Partners＇ Success in Football

The research was conducted in order to determine influence of conative characteristics on the criterion variables in Special Olympics athletes and partners in football. For this purpose, 80 athletes and partners engaged in football were tested. For the assessment of conative characteristics, the measurement instrument CON6 was selected by which the following conative regulators were evaluated： activity regulator, organ function regulator, defense reaction regulator, attack reaction regulator, system for coordination of regulatory functions, system for integration of regulatory functions, and system for excitation and inhibition. To assess success in a football game, the following variables were used： evaluation of the effectiveness of the techniques, evaluation of the performance effectiveness in the offensive phase, evaluation of the performance effectiveness in the defensive phase, evaluation of individual creativity during the game, team responsibility evaluation, engagement evaluation, behavior evaluation, general evaluation of success in the game. All the data in this research were analyzed at the Multidisciplinary Research Center, Faculty of Sport and Physical Education, University of Pristina, by the system of data processing programs dRSOFT developed by d. Popovi~ and K. Momirovi~. The algorithms and programs implemented within this thesis have been fully presented and the results of the programs have been analyzed.
