A high-voltage tran.verse pulsed n.n.secon. discharge with a slotted hollow cathode was foun. to be a source of high-en.rgy （few kV） ribbon.electron.beams. Con.ition. for the formation.an. extin.tion.of electron.beams were experimen.ally studied in.discharges in.helium at pressures of 1-100 Torr. It was foun. that in.eraction.of fast electron. with a n.n.un.form electric field n.ar the slotted cathode led to limitation.of the magn.tude of the discharge curren.. A physical model was developed to describe the discharge curren. self-limitation.that was in.satisfactory agreemen. with the experimen.al results. Some techn.cal solution. that are expected to in.rease the upper curren. limits in.tran.verse n.n.secon. discharge are discussed.

The depen.en.e of the tran.mission.coefficien. on.the particle en.rgy has a reson.n. character. On. observes pairs of the Breit-Wign.r an. the Fan. reson.n.es. It correlates with the correspon.in. results for a n.n.relativistic particle.

Polymorphism of microsatellite loci of Ukrain.an.red clover cultivars has been.studied. 87 microsatellite alleles, which occurred in.differen. combin.tion., were iden.ified. The n.mber of alleles ran.ed from 7 to 10. Microsatellite allele distribution.showed that 15 alleles were common.for all the red clover cultivars (17.2%). The red clover cultivars were represen.ed by homozygous an. heterozygous gen.types. The observed an. expected heterozygosity ran.ed from 0.067 to 0.269 an. from 0.225 to 0.807, respectively. An.an.lysis of molecular varian.e revealed that the largest proportion.of variation.(68.5%) resided at the in.rapopulation.level. Differen.iation.of the Ukrain.an.cultivars was moderately expressed (FST = 0.07).
