The aim of this study was to develop and validate a simple,sensitive,precise and cost-effective onelevel agar diffusion（5＋1） bioassay for estimation of potency and bioactivity of Levofioxacin in pharmaceutical preparation which has not yet been reported in any *** 16 microbial *** pumilus ATCC-14884 was selected as the most significant strain against *** was optimized by investigating several factors such as buffer pH,inoculums concentration and reference standard *** of Levofioxacin in commercial sample Levoflox tablet was done by FTIR *** potency recovery value for Levofioxacin in Levoflox tablet was estimated as 100.90%.A validated bioassay method showed linearity（r^2 = 0.988）,precision（Interday RSD=1.05%,between analyst RSD=1.02%） and accuracy（101.23%,RSD=0.72%）.Bioassay was correlated with HPLC using same sample and estimated potencies were 100.90% and 99.37%.*** show that bioassay is a suitable method for estimation of potency and bioactivity of Levofioxacin pharmaceutical preparations.

Lead free polycrystalline ceramics （k0.5Na0.5）Nb（1-x）MoxO3 （x = 0, 0.02, 0.04, 0.06 and 0.08） have been synthesized via solid state reaction method. The formation of single phase perovskite structure up to 6 mol% of Mo^6＋ has been confirmed by X-ray diffraction pattern. Impedance spectroscopy reveals that bulk resistance decreases with increasing temperature, which indicates negative temperature coefficient of resistance （NTCR） behaviour of the compounds. The diffuse reflectance spectroscopy results indicate a red shift of the band gap energy of k0.5Na0.5NbO3 （kNN, from 4.28 to 3.61 eV） with increasing Mo^6＋ concentration due to structural modification. The photoluminescence spectra of doped samples are composed of two emission bands at room temperature. One emission band is near band edge ultraviolet （UV） emission （354 nm） and other is visible emission band （-397 nm） which may explore the possibility of these ceramics to be used in optical device applications.

Background:Purple urine bag syndrome(PUBS)is an unusualconditionin which a purple discoloration of urine and bag occurs in people with urinary *** with purple urine usually do not complain of any *** purple discoloration of the urine bag is often the only finding,frequently noted by *** and methods:This prospective observational study was conducted at our tertiary care institute from June 2018 to May 2020.A total of 46 patients with PUBS wereincluded in this *** objective of our study was to record the prevalence of each predisposing factor and to correlate the pathological mechanism through which the PUBS is ***:The mean age of PUBS patients was 67.4years and 67.4%were *** patients of PUBS(60.9%)had a urethral catheter,while there was percutaneous nephrostomy in 26.1%patients and 13%patients had a percutaneous suprapubic cystostomy *** the patients,69.65%were bedridden orin an institutionalized situation,73.9%were suffering from chronic constipation,21.7%were associated with dementia,and 47.8%were cerebrovascular accidents with hemiparesis *** addition,93.5%of patients presented with alkaline urine and 3 patients with acidic *** most common bacteria isolated in urine culture were E coli and ***:Urinary catheter associated urinary tract infection and PUBS is most commonly documented in females,but our study showed that it is more common in *** appearance of a purple bag does not depend on the material and type of the catheter or the catheterization *** addition,no correlation was found between the microorganisms isolated from the environment and patients'urine.

In the present study,an approximation is used to study viscosity as a function of pressure at different *** correlation so obtained is applied to study the viscosity of biodiesels extracted from soybean,Vistive soybean,canola,used canola,coconut and *** computed values of viscosity from the proposed model were found to be in good agreement with experimental data throughout the range of pressure and temperature *** maximum average absolute relative deviation(AARD%)and mean AARD%are found to be 0.52 and 0.20,respectively,over the entire range of pressure(0.1-140 MPa)and temperature(283.15-373.15 k)for all biodiesels except rapeseed biodiesel,for which the values are 1.1 and 0.62,***,this work includes the very first investigation conducted so far on the variation of the pressure-viscosity coefficient(PVC)with pressure at different temperatures for *** variation in PVC with the temperature is more sensitive at elevated pressures as compared to atmospheric pressure whereas the variation in PVC with pressure is more sensitive at elevated temperatures as compared to room temperature.

Biochar is a carbon-rich material obtained after thermochemical conversion of biomass under no oxygen *** effect of biochar amendment on soil properties,such as water retention,infiltration and desiccation crack potential was studied in the recent ***,the effect of biochar or feedstock type on these properties is not *** study investigates the effect of two different(in terms of feedstock)types of biochar on the water retention,infiltration and desiccation crack-ing behavior of compacted silty *** retention characteristics,infiltration rate and the progression of desiccation cracks were measured after compacting soil amended with 5-10%(w/w)biochar produced from water hyacinth(WHB)and *** were also taken for an unpyrolyzed material coir pith(CP,sourced from coconut husk)-amended soil for comparing the results of biochar-amended *** results show that the amendment of 5%to 10%biochar increased the maximum water holding capacity(θs),air entry value(AEV)and water content at 1500 kPa(θ1500)of the soil,whereas decreased the infiltration rate and peak crack intensity factor(CIF)of the ***,the application of CP increased the infiltration *** amendment of WHB showed the highest increment in AEV andθ1500 and the highest decrement in infiltration rate and CIF compared to the other *** on the results,it is advisable to use the WHB-amended soil in bioengineered structures that could promote the growth of vegetation by higher water retention and could reduce the potential of leachate formation by decreasing water infiltration and desiccation crack potential.

In this study,we report for theﬁrst time an Early Palaeozoic basement diorite from the drilled well Nirona-A in the Banni Half-Graben of the kutch basin,western *** 40Ar–39Ar dates provided a plateau age of 441.84±2.66 Ma and another pseudo plateau of 441.28±5.82 to 388.08±16.65 Ma for the basement *** ages constrain the basement formation age to the Late Ordovician-Early Silurian *** obtained basement ages are correlatable with the later part of Cambro-Ordovician alkaline magmatism that has been reported from the Huqf area in Central Oman,whereas their lithological and petrographic correlativity with base-ment diorites occurring in the Dinsi Body of Nagar Parkar igneous complex in Pakistan can also be *** geochemical studies characterized the diorite with enrich-ment of LILE(Rb,Ba,and k)and LREE(La,Ce,Nd),strong depletion of HFSE(Nb,Sr,P,and Ti),along with weakly negative Eu *** geochemical signatures indicate their petrogenetic afﬁliation with mantle-derived magmas,as well as their tectonic setting to be arc-related,having post-collisional continental-arc type afﬁ****440 Ma basement of kutch,therefore,appears to rep-resent the later thermal event associated with the reworked Neoproterozoic subduction-related suite from Greater India’s northwest edge,which has implications for Gond-wana assembly in the northwest Indian subcontinent.

Friction-based riveting technique for AZ31 magnesium alloy

A new friction-based riveting technique, Rotating Hammer Riveting(RHR), is demonstrated to fully form AZ31 Mg rivet heads in a mere 0.23 s. Heat and pressure generated through severe plastic deformation during the process was sufficient to form the Mg rivet head without the need for a pre-heating operation. Due to preliminary twinning and followed by dynamic recrystallization, AZ31 Mg grains in the rivet head were refined during RHR, which enhance the formability of Mg rivets by triggering grain boundary sliding and reducing plastic anisotropy of Mg. In addition, RHR joints showed a metallurgical bond between the rivet head and top AZ31 Mg sheet, which eliminates a significant pathway for corrosion.
