Neotectonic Evidences of Rejuvenation in KaurikChango Fault Zone, Northwestern Himalaya

Neotectonic investigations using morphotectonic parameters such as basin asymmetry, drainage anomalies, digital data interpretation and geomorphic field evidences were carried out in Satluj river valley downstream of Khab in the Kaurik Chango Fault (KCF) zone. The study reveals the presence of a northsouth trending fault which is similar to the KCF. Unpaired, tilted terraces, V shaped valleys, deep gorges and lakes are the manifestations of fault movement in the area. Presence of deformation structures preserved in the palaeolake profile at Morang indicates that the area has also been seismically active in the past. In this paper we present a conceptual model of the formation of lakes in KCF zone. Morphometric analysis was carried out with the help of Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) and field investigations.

The COVID-19 pandemic has ravaged global health and national economies *** and isolation are effective control strategies to mitigate the transmission of COVID-19,especially in the early stage of the disease *** this paper,we develop a deterministic model to investigate the impact of testing and compliance with isolation on the transmission of *** derive the control reproduction number R_(C),which gives the threshold for disease elimination or *** data from New York State in the early stage of the disease outbreak,we estimate R_(C)=7:*** elasticity and sensitivity analyses show that testing and compliance with isolation are significant in reducing R_(C) and disease *** reveals that only high testing volume combined with a large proportion of individuals complying with isolation have great impact on mitigating the *** testing starting date is also crucial:the earlier testing is implemented,the more impact it has on reducing the *** results obtained here would also be helpful in developing guidelines of early control strategies for pandemics similar to COVID-19.
