Effect of tri（2-hydroxypropyl）, tri（2-hydroxybutyl）and tri（hydroxythiodiethylene） borates （BT2HB, BT2HP and BTHET） on the thermal and heat properties of the rigid polyurethane-polyisocyanurate （PUR-PIR） foams was investigated： Increasing amounts of BT2HB and BT2HP in the foam composition, from 0.05 to 0.4 of chemical equivalent, caused increases in the softening point, the temperature of the first mass loss, the extrapolated tempera- ture of the main mass loss foam and temperature of the highest rate of the mass loss. In the case when BTHTE was added to the foam compositions, the lower increase in the mentioned above characteristic temperatures was observed as compared to those of standard foam （without borate added）.

The aim of this study was to assess the runoff amount from a catchment characterized by diverse land uses by using the Soil Conservation Service Curve Number(SCS-CN) method based on Curve Number(CN) defined for dominant homogeneous elementary *** calculations employed the SCS-CN method,involving the division of the catchment in two homogeneous parts and determining the runoff *** obtained results were compared with the results provided by three other CN determination methods,*** Hawkins function,the kinetics equation,and a complementary error function *** catchment is located in a mountain dominated by forest land *** CN-Precipitation(CN_(emp)-P) data pairs were analyzed using the mentioned methods,and the highest quality score was achieved from model *** results suggest that dividing a catchment into two homogeneous areas and determining their separate CN parameters,used later on to calculate the runoff by means of the presented approach,could be an alternative to the standard *** described method is relatively easy,and as it does not require an adoption of numerous parameters,and it can be employed for designing hydraulic facilities.

The modem economy raises new challenges for companies as entities in business and managers, as organizers and managers of functioning and operation of these companies. What needed is a change in the orientation of the theory and practice of management thinking, to whom and why organized, collective action and encouragement of entrepreneurship must serve, and what should be the mission of a modem and effective management science. An important issue appearing is to build a profile of the modem manager, who faces serious, new, and often unfamiliar challenges. The modem manager must be primarily flexible, resistant to stress, and willing to take risks and enthusiastic. The subject of the article is some problems of modem management of organization. The aim of this article is to describe and analyze the changes in the environment and for modem governance. The study attempted to answer the question： what the challenges faced by today＇s managers in the management of enterprises. This article is based on the analysis of literature, and diversified in cross time.

In this paper, three types of three-parameters families of quadrature formulas for the Riemann’s integral on an interval of the real line are carefully studied. This research is a continuation of the results in the [1]-[3]. All these quadrature formulas are not based on the integration of an interpolant as so as the Gregory rule, a well-known example in numerical quadrature of a trapezoidal rule with endpoint corrections of a given order (see [4]). In some natural restrictions on the parameters we construct the only one quadrature formula of the eight order which belongs to the first, second and third family. For functions whose 8th derivative is either always positive or always negative, we use these quadrature formulas to get good two-sided bound on . Additionally, we apply these quadratures to obtain the approximate sum of slowly convergent series , where .

A promising direction in the tanning industry is the use of natural minerals as environmentally friendly technologically efficient materials that are able to adjust and regulate the efficiency of formation of the dermis structure and the properties of finished leather. The use of finely-dispersed minerals promotes alignment of topographic areas in thickness, increases the yield of leather on the area by avoiding bonding structural elements of the dermis. Changes in the microstructure of the dermis, as a result of mineral filling, contribute to improvement of performance and hygienic properties of finished leather. And the study of the properties of the specified skins should be consistent with the features of operations on their cutting, shoe molding and shoe upper fixing preparations. The most important properties of leather materials, which largely determine the quality of basic technological operations of shoe manufacturing are the deformation properties. Lack of information about relaxation and deformation properties of the leather produced by the new technologies do not allow to predict their ability to form shapes and save it--indicates the relevance of this study. This paper analyzes relaxation and deformation characteristics of natural leather for shoe uppers, filled with natural minerals montmorillonite and zeolite, and the ability to predict their formation and preservation of shape in service. Features of deformation of the skin with mineral content were assessed by determining single-cycle characteristics when attaching to a complete test cycle ＂loading-unloading-rest＂ sample. Correlations of elastic and plastic （permanent） deformation have been established, kinetics of changes in linear characteristics of the samples after removal of the load has been investigated. Contrast Optimization for an Animal Model of Prostate Cancer MRI at 3T

Purpose: To optimize contrast to noise ratio (CNR) in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of prostate cancer using at 3T. Methods: CNR was expressed as a difference in MR signals of two samples. Amulti-echo spin-echo (MESE) pulse sequence was used. The theoretical value of the maximum CNR was obtained using the derivative of CNR with echo time (TE) as a variable. The T1 relaxation time was ignored as repetition time (TR) was assumed to be very long (TR >> T1). The theoretical calculations were confirmed with in vitro and in vivo experiments. For in vitro experiments we used samples with different T2 values using various concentrations of super paramagnetic iron oxide (SPIO) and for in vivo experiments we used an animal model of prostate cancer. Results: CNR was maximized by selecting the optimum TE for a multi-echo spin-echo (MESE) pulse sequence based on theoretical predictions. MR images of prostate cancer at 3T were obtained and showed maximum CNR at the predicted TE. Conclusions: It was possible to maximize CNR of prostate tumour by selecting the optimal TE based on simple theoretical calculations. The proposed method can be applied to other pulse sequences and tissues. It can be applied to any MRI system at any magnetic field. However the method requires knowledge of T2 relaxation times.

＜正＞ The authors introduced the possibility of utilization of condensate resulting from sweating of evaporator’s surface for heat recovery in refrigeration cycle. Investigations were conducted for 700 dm3 refrigerator cabinet. A schematic diagram of the test apparatus-the refrigerating plant built according to polish patent no 182 713, as well as the results of conducted experimental investigations are presented in the paper. The following advantages of the use of external heat regeneration in a refrigeration unit with zeotropic mixture R419A as a working fluid are shown:- the decrease in compressor’s energy consumption,- the growth in refrigerating capacity- the growth in the coefficient of performance of Lorenz cycle.

An extensive analysis of iron-nitrogen-carbon(Fe-N-C)electrocatalysts synthesis and activity is presented concerning synthesis conditions such as initial Fe content,pyrolysis temperature and atmosphere(inert N_(2),reducing NH_(3),oxidizing Cl_(2) and their sequential combinations)and the influence of an external magnetic field on their performance in oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).Thermosetting porous polymers doped with FeCl_(3) were utilized as the Fe-N-C catalysts *** pyrolysis temperature was varied within a 700-900℃*** temperature and atmosphere of pyrolysis strongly affect the porosity and compositi on of the resultant Fe-N-C catalysts,while the in itial amount of Fe precursor shows much weaker *** under NH_(3) yields materials similar to those pyrolyzed under an inert atmosphere(N_(2)).In contrast,pyrolysis under Cl_(2) yields carbon of peculiar character with highly disordered structure and extensive *** application of a static external magnetic field strongly enhances the ORR process(herein studied in an alkaline environment)and the enhancement correlates with the Fe content in the Fe-N-C *** Fe-N-C materials containing ferromagnetic iron phase embedded in N-doped microporous carbon constitute attractive catalysts for magnetic field-aided anion exchange membrane fuel cell technology.
