Amyloid-b,tau pathology,and biomarkers of neurodegeneration make up the core diagnostic biomarkers of Alzheimer disease(AD).However,these proteins represent only a fraction of the complex biological processes underlying AD,and individuals with other brain diseases in which AD pathology is a comorbidity also test positive for these diagnostic *** ADspecific early diagnostic and disease staging biomarkers are *** this study,we performed tandem mass tag proteomic analysis of paired cerebrospinal fluid(CSF)and serum samples in a discovery cohort comprising 98 *** biomarkers were validated by parallel reaction monitoring–based targeted proteomic assays in an independent multicenter cohort comprising 288 *** quantified 3,238 CSF and 1,702 serum proteins in the discovery cohort,identifying 171 and 860 CSF proteins and 37 and 323 serum proteins as potential early diagnostic and staging biomarkers,*** the validation cohort,58 and 21 CSF proteins,as well as 12 and 18 serum proteins,were verified as early diagnostic and staging biomarkers,*** 19-protein CSF and an 8-protein serum biomarker panels were built by machine learning to accurately classify mild cognitive impairment(MCI)due to AD from normal cognition with areas under the curve of 0.984 and 0.881,*** 19-protein CSF biomarker panel also effectively discriminated patients with MCI due to AD from patients with other neurodegenerative ***,we identified 21 CSF and 18 serum stage-associated proteins re-flecting AD *** findings provide a foundation for developing bloodbased tests for AD screening and staging in clinical practice.

Low-temperature graphitization of lignin via Co-assisted electrolysis in molten salt

The ever-growing energy demand and environmental issues have stimulated the development of sustainable energy ***,an efficient and environmentally friendly electrochemical transformation technology was proposed to prepare highly graphitized carbon materials from an abundant natural resource-lignin （LG）.The preparation process mainly includes pyrolytic carbonization of raw LG material and electrochemical conversion of amorphous carbon ***,with the assistance of Co catalyst,the graphitization degree of the products was significantly improved,in which the mechanism was the removal of heteroatoms in LG and the rearrangement of carbon atoms into graphite ***,tunable microstructures （nanoflakes） under catalytic effects could also be observed by controlling the electrolytic *** with the products CN1 （without catalyst） and CN5 （with 10%catalyst）,the specific surface area are 158.957 and202.246 m2g-1,*** used as the electrode material for lithium-ion batteries,CN5 delivered a competitive specific capacity of～350 m Ah g-1（0.5 C） compared with commercial *** strategy proposed in this work provides an effective way to extract value-added graphite materials from lignin and can be extended to the graphitization conversion of any other amorphous carbon precursor materials.

Causal Relationship Between Gut Microbiota and liver Cirrhosis:16S rRNA Sequencing and Mendelian Randomization Analyses

Background and Aims:Accumulating evidence highlights the association between the gut microbiota and liver ***,the role of the gut microbiota in liver cirrhosis remains ***:We first assessed the differences in the composition of the bacterial community between CCl4-induced liver cirrhosis and control mice using 16S rRNA *** then performed a two-sample Mendelian randomization(MR)analysis to reveal the underlying causal relationship between the gut microbiota and liver *** relationships were analyzed using primary inverse variance weighting(IVW)and other supplemental MR ***,fecal samples from liver cirrhosis patients and healthy controls were collected to validate the results of the MR ***:Analysis of 16S rRNA sequencing indicated significant differences in gut microbiota composition between the cirrhosis and control *** analyses suggested that Alphaproteobacteria,Bacillales,NB1n,Rhodospirillales,Dorea,Lachnospiraceae,and Rhodospirillaceae were positively correlated with the risk of liver cirrhosis,whereas Butyricicoccus,Hungatella,Marvinbryantia,and Lactobacillaceae displayed the opposite ***,the weighted median and MR-PRESSO estimates further showed that only Butyricicoccus and Marvinbryantia presented stable negative associations with liver *** significant heterogeneity or horizontal pleiotropy was observed in the sensitivity ***,the result of 16S rRNA sequencing also showed that healthy controls had a higher relative abundance of Butyricicoccus and Marvinbryantia than liver cirrhosis ***:Our study provides new causal evidence for the link between gut microbiota and liver cirrhosis,which may contribute to the discovery of novel strategies to prevent liver cirrhosis.

Modeling the Interaction between Vacancies and Grain Boundaries during Ductile Fracture

The experimental results in previous studies have indicated that during the ductile fracture of pure metals,vacancies aggregate and form voids at grain ***,the physical mechanism underlying this phenomenon remains not fully *** study derives the equilibrium distribution of vacancies analytically by following thermodynamics and the micromechanics of crystal *** derivation suggests that vacancies cluster in regions under hydrostatic compression to minimize the elastic strain ***,a finite element model is developed for examining more general scenarios of interaction between vacancies and grain *** model is first verified and validated through comparison with some available analytical solutions,demonstrating consistency between finite element simulation results and analytical solutions within a specified numerical accuracy.A systematic numerical study is then conducted to investigate the mechanism that might govern the micromechanical interaction between grain boundaries and the profuse vacancies typically generated during plastic *** simulation results indicate that the reduction in total elastic strain energy can indeed drive vacancies toward grain boundaries,potentially facilitating void nucleation in ductile fracture.

Completeness of Induced Cotorsion Pairs in Representation Categories of Rooted Quivers

This paper focuses on a question raised by Holm and J?rgensen, who asked if the induced cotorsion pairs(Φ（X）, Φ（X）⊥) and(⊥Ψ（Y）, Ψ（Y）) in Rep（Q, A）—the category of all A-valued representations of a quiver Q—are complete whenever（X, Y） is a complete cotorsion pair in an abelian category A satisfying some mild conditions. We give an affirmative answer if the quiver Q is rooted. As an application, we show under certain mild conditions that if a subcategory L, which is not necessarily closed under direct summands, of A is special precovering（resp., preenveloping）, then Φ（L）(resp.,Ψ（L）) is special precovering（resp., preenveloping） in Rep（Q, A）.

Learning Epipolar line Window Attention for Stereo Image Super-Resolution Reconstruction

Transformer-based stereo image super-resolution reconstruction(Stereo SR)methods have significantly improved image ***,existing methods have deficiencies in paying attention to detailed features and do not consider the offset of pixels along the epipolar lines in complementary views when integrating stereo *** address these challenges,this paper introduces a novel epipolar line window attention stereo image super-resolution network(EWASSR).For detail feature restoration,we design a feature extractor based on Transformer and convolutional neural network(CNN),which consists of(shifted)window-based self-attention((S)W-MSA)and feature distillation and enhancement blocks(FDEB).This combination effectively solves the problem of global image perception and local feature attention and captures more discriminative high-frequency features of the ***,to address the problem of offset of complementary pixels in stereo images,we propose an epipolar line window attention(EWA)mechanism,which divides windows along the epipolar direction to promote efficient matching of shifted pixels,even in pixel smooth *** accurate pixel matching can be achieved using adjacent pixels in the window as a *** experiments demonstrate that our EWASSR can reconstruct more realistic detailed *** quantitative results show that in the experimental results of our EWASSR on the Middlebury and Flickr1024 data sets for 2×SR,compared with the recent network,the Peak signal-to-noise ratio(PSNR)increased by 0.37 dB and 0.34 dB,respectively.

The similarities and differences in inherent mechanism and characteristic frequency between the onedimensional(1D) poroelastic model and the layered White model were investigated. This investigation was conducted under the assumption that the rock was homogenous and isotropic at the mesoscopic scale. For the inherent mechanism, both models resulted from quasi-static flow in a slow P-wave diffusion mode, and the differences between them originated from saturated fluids and boundary conditions. On the other hand, for the characteristic frequencies of the models, the characteristic frequency of the 1D poroelastic model was first modified because the elastic constant and formula for calculating it were misused and then compared to that of the layered White model. Both of them moved towards higher frequencies with increasing permeability and decreasing viscosity and diffusion length. The differences between them were due to the diffusion length. The diffusion length for the 1D poroelastic model was determined by the sample length, whereas that for the layered White model was determined by the length of the representative elementary volume(REV). Subsequently, a numerical example was presented to demonstrate the similarities and differences between the models. Finally, published experimental data were interpreted using the 1D poroelastic model combined with the Cole-Cole *** prediction of the combined model was in good agreement with the experimental data, thereby validating the effectiveness of the 1D poroelastic model. Furthermore, the modified characteristic frequency in our study was much closer to the experimental data than the previous prediction, validating the effectiveness of our modification of the characteristic frequency of the 1D poroelastic model. High spatiotemporal resolution radiances from the advanced imagers onboard the new generation of geostationary weather satellites provide a unique opportunity to evaluate the abilities of various reanalysis datasets to depict multilayer tropospheric water vapor(WV),thereby enhancing our understanding of the deficiencies of WV in reanalysis *** on daily measurements from the Advanced Himawari Imager(AHI)onboard the Himawari-8 satellite in 2016,the bias features of multilayer WV from six reanalysis datasets over East Asia are thoroughly *** assessments show that wet biases exist in the upper troposphere in all six reanalysis datasets;in particular,these biases are much larger in ***,we find better depictions of WV in the middle troposphere than in the upper *** accuracy of WV in the ERA5 dataset is the highest,in terms of the bias magnitude,dispersion,and pattern *** characteristics of the WV bias over the Tibetan Plateau are significantly different from those over other parts of East *** addition,the reanalysis datasets all capture the shift of the subtropical high very well,with ERA5 performing better overall.
