The security of most code-based cryptosystems relies on the hardness of the syndrome decoding(SD) problem.The best solvers of the SD problem are known as information set,decoding(ISD) algorithms.Recently,Weger,et al.(2020) described Stern’s ISD algorithm,s-blocks algorithm and partial Gaussian elimination algorithms in the Lee metric over an integer residue ring Z_(pm),where p is a prime number and m is a positive integer,and analyzed the time complexity.In this paper,the authors apply a binary ISD algorithm in the Hamming metric proposed by May,et al.(2011)to solve the SD problem over the Galois ring GR(p^(m),k) endowed with the Lee metric and provide a detailed complexity analysis.Compared with Stern’s algorithm over Zpmin the Lee metric,the proposed algorithm has a significant improvement in the time complexity.

Objective A commercially available reference product was“re-engineered”and the target emulsion was formulated to contain the same energy density,as well as the same percentage of energy sources,as the reference product.The particle size and distribution,polydispersity index(PDI),and zeta-potential of emulsions were measured as indices to analyse the quality of the emulsions.Methods The centrifugal stability(Ke)was examined as the main measure of the stability of the target emulsion.Critical parameters affecting the stability of emulsions were also determined,while the temperature was fixed at 30℃,shear speed at 3500 r/min,and shear time was 15 min.The optimal quantity of emulsifier was also studied in the crude homogenate.Results A relatively stable emulsion could be obtained by using PC-50 at a dosage of 2%as the emulsifier.A 2∶1 proportion of whey protein to casein,a 1∶1 proportion of maltodextrin(DE 10-15)to maltodextrin(DE 15-20)and medium chain triglyceride(MCT)in powder form were used to obtain the most desirable emulsion.Conclusion This study explored the critical parameters that influence the stability of a total nutrition enteral emulsion designed for cancer patients,providing useful information for further industrialisation of this and other emulsion products.

As extensions of means, expectiles embrace all the distribution information of a random variable.The expectile regression is computationally friendlier because the asymmetric least square loss function is differentiable everywhere. This regression also enables effective estimation of the expectiles of a response variable when potential explanatory variables are given. In this study, we propose the partial functional linear expectile regression model. The slope function and constant coefficients are estimated by using the functional principal component basis. The convergence rate of the slope function and the asymptotic normality of the parameter vector are established. To inspect the effect of the parametric component on the response variable, we develop Wald-type and expectile rank score tests and establish their asymptotic properties. The finite performance of the proposed estimators and test statistics are evaluated through simulation study. Results indicate that the proposed estimators are comparable to competing estimation methods and the newly proposed expectile rank score test is useful. The methodologies are illustrated by using two real data examples.

Measuring and reconstructing the shape of workpieces have been considered as a fundamental step in both reverse engineering and product quality control.Owing to increasing structural complexity of recent products,measurements from multiple directions are typically required in current scanning techniques.Specifically,the plane structured light can be applied to measure one area of a part at a time,with an additional algorithm required to merge the collected data of each area.Alternatively,the line structured light sensor integrated on CNC machines or CMMs could also realize multi-view measurement.However,the system needs to be repeatedly calibrated at each new direction.This paper presents a flexible scanning method by integrating laser line sensors with articulated arm coordinate measuring machines(AACMM).Since the output of the laser line sensor is 2D raw data in the laser plane,our system model introduces an explicit transformation from the 2D sensor coordinate frame to the 3D base coordinate frame of the AACMM(i.e.,the translation and rotation the of the 2D sensor coordinate in the sixth coordinate system of AACMM).To solve the model,the“conjugate pairs”are proposed and identified by measuring a fixed point(e.g.,a sphere center).Moreover,a search algorithm is adopted to find the optimal solution,which noticeably boosts the model accuracy.The experimental results show that the error of the system is about 0.2 mm,which is caused by the error of the AACMM,the sensor error and the calibration error.By measuring a complicated part,the proposed system is proved to be flexible and facilitate,with the ability to measure a part expediently from any necessary direction.Furthermore,the proposed calibration method can also be used for robot hand-eye relationship calibration.

Hydrogen treatment has been proposed as a simple and effective strategy to enhance the performance of Ti O2 nanostructures for applications such as photocatalysis and photoelectrochemical(PEC) water splitting. While some studies have suggested that the black color can be ascribed to surface disorder, other reports have suggested that it is caused by the "oxygen vacancy" states associated with Ti3+ within the bandgap of the Ti O2. The chemical nature and potential use of the bandgap states responsible for the black color of increased visible absorption is not yet well understood and subject of strong interest. Here we briefly review current understanding of the possible mechanisms behind the black color of hydrogen-treated Ti O2 nanowires and its relevance to photocatalysis and solar water splitting for hydrogen generation. One important conclusion to date is that while hydrogen treatment enhances photocurrent of Ti O2 with UV excitation, no noticeable photocurrent can be detected with visible light, which seems to be due to the very short lifetimes of the bandgap oxygen vacancy states arising from hydrogen treatment.

Nonaqueous amine-based system is an attractive solution to overcome high-energy-intensive CO_(2) capture process using the conventional aqueous amines.Advanced nonaqueous absorbent of 2-(butylamino)ethanol(BAE)with 2-butoxyethanol(2-BE)has been recently proposed for low-energyconsumption CO_(2) capture.In this work,Henry’s law constants of CO_(2) in the BAE/2-BE blend were obtained by N_(2)O/CO_(2) analogy,and correlated in the temperature range of(283–333)K.Vapor-liquid equilibrium(VLE)data for the BAE+CO_(2)+2-BE system at 65.4%(mass)BAE were also determined in a stirred equilibrium cell at temperatures of(313–393)K and CO_(2) partial pressures up to 275 kPa.A single apparent equilibrium constant KCO_(2);app was proposed for this system and correlated as a function of temperature,carbonated degree of amine and CO_(2) loading.Solubility data were well represented by the modified Kent-Eisenberg model with an average absolute relative deviation(AARD)of 13%.

Spinal cord injury has long been a prominent challenge in the trauma repair process. Spinal cord injury is a research hotspot by virtue of its difficulty to treat and its escalating morbidity. Furthermore, spinal cord injury has a long period of disease progression and leads to complications that exert a lot of mental and economic pressure on patients. There are currently a large number of therapeutic strategies for treating spinal cord injury, which range from pharmacological and surgical methods to cell therapy and rehabilitation training. All of these strategies have positive effects in the course of spinal cord injury treatment. This review mainly discusses the problems regarding stem cell therapy for spinal cord injury, including the characteristics and action modes of all relevant cell types. Induced pluripotent stem cells, which represent a special kind of stem cell population, have gained impetus in cell therapy development because of a range of advantages. Induced pluripotent stem cells can be developed into the precursor cells of each neural cell type at the site of spinal cord injury, and have great potential for application in spinal cord injury therapy.

Magnetic reconnection driven by a capacitor coil target is an innovative way to investigate low-βmagnetic reconnection in the laboratory,whereβis the ratio of particle thermal pressure to magnetic pressure.Low-βmagnetic reconnection frequently occurs in the Earth’s magnetosphere,where the plasma is characterized byβ≲0.01.In this paper,we analyze electron acceleration during magnetic reconnection and its effects on the electron energy spectrum via particle-in-cell simulations informed by parameters obtained from experiments.We note that magnetic reconnection starts when the current sheet is down to about three electron inertial lengths.From a quantitative comparison of the different mechanisms underlying the electron acceleration in low-βreconnection driven by coil targets,we find that the electron acceleration is dominated by the betatron mechanism,whereas the parallel electric field plays a cooling role and Fermi acceleration is negligible.The accelerated electrons produce a hardened power-law spectrum with a high-energy bump.We find that injecting electrons into the current sheet is likely to be essential for further acceleration.In addition,we perform simulations for both a double-coil co-directional magnetic field and a single-coil one to eliminate the possibility of direct acceleration of electrons beyond thermal energies by the coil current.The squeeze between the two coil currents can only accelerate electrons inefficiently before reconnection.The simulation results provide insights to guide future experimental improvements in low-βmagnetic reconnection driven by capacitor coil targets.

The emissions of SF6 have been restricted owing to 3400 years of atmospheric lifetime and high global warming potential(GWP)as an insulating gas in gas-insulated electrical equipment.In this study,HFO-1336mzz(E)and N_(2)/CO_(2)mixtures are proposed as SF6 substitutes for their short atmospheric lifetime,low GWP and superior insulation performance.The GWP of HFO-1336mzz(E)is only 18 and its atmospheric lifetime is days to weeks.The breakdown voltage of 25%HFO-1336mzz(E)and N_(2)/CO_(2)mixtures is about 85%that of pure SF6 under alternating current.The self-recovery ability of HFO-1336mzz(E)and CO_(2)mixtures is superior to that of HFO-1336mzz(E)and N_(2)mixtures.The decomposition characteristic of HFO-1336mzz(E)shows that a tiny amount of its gas might initiate a carbonisation reaction to form carbon after multiple breakdown tests,which is verified by observations using energy dispersive X-rays spectroscopy and scanning electron microscope.The acute toxicity test of HFO-1336mzz(E)indicates that the gas is non-toxic.The results show that HFO-1336mzz(E)and N_(2)/CO_(2)mixtures are potential substitutes for SF6 in electrical applications.
