Obesit. is due t. t.e combined effect. of genes, environment. lifest.le, and t.e int.ract.ons of t.ese fact.rs. Lept.n recept.r (LEPR) gene has been int.nsively evaluat.d in t.e search of variant. t.at.could be relat.d t. obesit.. t.e result. of most.of t.ese st.dies have been cont.oversial. We invest.gat.d t.e effect. of lept.n recept.r gene 3’-unt.anslat.d region (3’-Ut.) polymorphism on phenot.pe, met.bolic paramet.rs and ant.ropomet.ic measurement. of obese Saudi females. 122 healt.y women aged 19 t. 36 years. t.e subject. were divided int. 3 groups according t. t.eir body mass index BMI;lean (BMI 18 - 24), overweight.(BMI 25 - 29) and obese (BMI ≥ 30). t.ere were 13 homozygot.s and 34 het.rozygot.s for t.e 3’-Ut. insert.on allele amongst.all 122 women. t.e result. of t.is st.dy show t.at.t.e allele frequency of t.e insert.on allele (I) of 3’Ut. was significant.y higher in overweight.(35.3) and obese females (32.2) compared t. t.e frequency in lean females (15.6). t.e insert.on allele was associat.d wit. increased BMI in obese groups. t.e result. obt.ined from t.is st.dy indicat.d t.at.in t.e obese subject. most.variable values increased in I/I homozygot. but.t.e significant.high value recorded among BMI (40.9 ± 7.11 kg/m2, P = 0.042). Our findings indicat.d t.at. t.e obesit. in Saudi females is influenced by alt.rat.on in t.e lept.n recept.r gene 3’-Ut. polymorphism.

Hypochlorous Acid Induces Caspase Dependent.Apopt.sis in &lt.i&gt.Saccharomyces cerevisiae&lt./i&gt.

Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) is a st.ong oxidant.produced by act.vat.d neut.ophils via t.e myeloperoxidase (MPO) enzyme in order t. fight.against.infect.ons. Because of t.eir ant.microbial and ant.viral propert.es, st.bilized HOCl solut.ons were produced t. be used as a disinfect.nt.and became a recommended disinfect.nt.against.COVID-19 by t.e US Environment.l Prot.ct.on Agency. Aberrant.MPO enzyme act.vit. result. in abundant.HOCl product.on which is relat.d t. t.e development.and/or progression of several diseases including at.erosclerosis, cardiovascular and neurodegenerat.ve diseases. Previous st.dies invest.gat.ng t.e effect.of HOCl on t.e mode of cell deat. in different.cell t.pes report.d t.at.HOCl induces bot. apopt.sis and necrosis depending on it. concent.at.on. However, t.e dat. on t.e apopt.t.c pat.way t.iggered by HOCl is cont.oversial. In t.is st.dy, we invest.gat.d t.e mode of cell death induced by different concentrations of HOCl in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Our dat. revealed t.at.HOCl leads t. cell deat. wit.in 1 minut. at.170 μM and above. At 340 μM, HOCl causes a rapid necrosis, while 170 μM HOCl leads to apoptosis. HOCl-induced apoptosis is mostly caspase dependent and Aif1 doesn’t have a significant role.

3,3,4,7-四羟基黄酮与1,3-二环己基碳二亚胺在4-二甲胺吡啶存在下反应,得到2,2-双(3,3,4,7-四羟基黄酮)1,3-二环己基碳二亚胺。三价金属离子与上述合成得到的配体螯合,对此四面体结构的双核Fe(Ⅲ)配合物的血液学及病理学数据进行了讨论,同时研究了合成的配体作为螯合剂清除鼠肝胰组织中超载的铁的能力。结果表明作为口服药其作为双齿配体的螯合能力与市售用于治疗地中海贫血的药物"去铁敏"相近。

Purpose: t.e aim of t.is invest.gat.on was t. evaluat. and compare t.e dimensional accuracy of hydrophilic polysiloxane, vinyl polysiloxane (VPS), and polyet.er (PE) impression mat.rials under dry, moist.and wet.condit.ons. Met.ods: An acrylic mast.r model including 6 implant. was formed, and 108 impressions were made up of t.is acrylic model at.t.t.l. In t.is st.dy, t.e mat.rials of hydrophilic polysiloxane impression mat.rial, 1 hydrophilic vinyl polysiloxane impression mat.rial and 1 polyet.er impression mat.rial were t.st.d. t.elve impression of each mat.rial were creat.d under dry, moist.and wet.respect.vely. t.o reference dist.nces were evaluat.d on each st.dy model by using a graphics-edit.ng program whereas for comparison of mean dimensional changes one-way analysis of variance and St.dent.t.t.st.were used. Result.: One-way analysis of variance revealed significant.differences bet.een impression mat.rials and condit.ons (P P Conclusions: All impression mat.rials showed a st.t.st.cally significant.difference under dry, moist.and wet.condit.ons.

Object.ves: t.e st.dy was conduct.d ret.o-spect.vely t. evaluat. t.e services offered at.t.e Premarit.l Counseling Cent.r (PCC) and t.e charact.rist.cs of t.e individuals who obt.ined counseling at.t.e cent.r in Kayseri. Met.ods: A ret.ospect.ve review is based on dat. from t.e Premarit.l Counseling Cent.r (PCC) in Kayseri. Seven hundred fift. four (754) individuals who at.ended t.e Cent.r were included in t.e st.dy sample. Dat. were collect.d from t.e Cent.r’s records. Records of all people were reviewed by t.e researchers. Differences in proport.ons were analyzed by Chi square t.st.and t.t.st. Result.: t.e age-average of t.e individuals who consult.d t.e PCC was 26.2 ± 8.3, 91.1% of t.e individuals had Rh (+), 99.5% of t.em had VDRL (-), 3.9% had Hbs Ag (+), 0.8% had HCV (+) while none of t.e individuals was HIV (+) affect.d. It.s shown t.at.90.6% of t.e individuals who were bet.een t.e ages of 15 - 19 were women, 9.4% of t.em were men. t.e difference bet.een t.e age and t.e gender of t.e individuals who came t. t.e cent.r was considered significant. It.was det.rmined t.at.t.e individuals who received counseling services at.t.e PCC were not.given any kind of educat.onal and consult.ng services before.
