BACKGROUND Rheumatic immune diseases are a group of chronic inflammatory diseases charac-terized by joint and systemic multi-organ involvement,including rheumatoid arthritis,systemic lupus erythematosus,and Sjogren’s syndrome,among *** pathogenesis of these diseases is related to the abnormal activation and regulatory imbalance of the immune *** prevalence and morbidity of rheumatic immune diseases are high,imposing a significant burden on patients'quality of life and socio-economic ***,the treatment of rheumatic immune diseases mainly relies on Western medicine,such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs,glucocorticoids,disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs,and ***,the therapeutic effects of Western medicine are not ideal,some patients poorly respond or are resistant to Western medicine,and long-term use often causes various adverse *** To systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of Tripterygium wilfordii gly-cosides tablets combined with Western medicine in the treatment of patients with rheumatic immune *** This study conducted a meta-analysis to systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of Tripterygium wilfordii glycosides tablets combined with Western medicine for patients with rheumatic immune *** and English databases were searched for randomized controlled trials(RCTs)on the treatment of rheumatic immune diseases with Tripterygium wilfordii glycosides tablets combined with Western *** quality of the included studies was assessed using the Cochrane risk of bias assessment ***-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.4 *** The meta-analysis included 11 RCTs involving 1026 patients with rheumatic immune *** combined treatment significantly reduced the risk of disease recurrence(relative risk=1.07,95%confidence interval:1.01-1.15,P<0.05)and showed no significant heterogeneity(I2=0%,P=0.53),indicating that Tripterygium wilfordii glycosides

The adjustment of the gas drainage rate has an immediate impact on air leakage in gob,thus resulting in the change of self-heating of *** regulating the gas drainage parameters,the risk of spontaneous combustion of coal should be *** risk assessment of gas control and spontaneous combustion of coal under gas drainage in a tunnel was investigated at different gas drainage *** distributions of the air volume along the working face,the gas management effects and the width of the oxidation zone were subjected to risk *** the simulation results showed,with increasing gas drainage rate,although the safety of gas dilution by ventilation was assured,the intensifying air leakage caused the oxidation zone to move into the deeper gob and led to an increase in the width of the oxidation zone.A risk assessment method was proposed to determine a suitable gas drainage rate for the upper *** correctness of the risk assessment and the validity of the numerical modelling were confirmed by the field measurements.

Lavatories are frequently used facilities,especially on long-haul *** a vacuum toilet in a lavatory can induce strong airflow,produce aerosols in the toilet bowl,and resuspend deposited particles from the ***,the exact particle transport routes and the fates of particle after toilet flushing are unclear so *** investigation used computational fluid dynamics(CFD)to model the transient airflow and pollutant transport after a toilet flushing process in a lavatory of a commercial *** time-varying pressure profile measured in a laboratory was assigned to the drainage valve as boundary *** aerosols generated inside the toilet bowl during flushing and the particles resuspended from the lavatory floor were used as particle *** tracking of airborne particles in the lavatory was *** addition,ammonia gas was used to examine odor *** multi-physics software program COMSOL 5.4 was employed for numerical solution after being *** results revealed that more than 70%of the generated particles in the toilet bowl are drained into sewage.A few particles may leak out of the toilet bowl and remain suspended in the air for more than five minutes when the toilet lid is open during *** the toilet with a closed lid can effectively reduce the particle leakage and the spread of odor gas,but it leads to greater deposition of particles on both the lid and *** is a slight inhalation exposure risk in the initial three minutes after flushing with a closed lid.

Modeling of laser adjustment for large diameter tubes using robotic kinematic theories

Laser adjustment is a new technique that employs laser forming processes to align components along specific directions. To develop a laser adjustment solution with a minimal number of bends, herein, a new modeling and calculation method that uses robotic kinematic theories is introduced. A numerical example and the corresponding laser adjustment solution are presented. The simulation results suggest that a straight tube with a flange connector can be adjusted to match the corresponding connector with three bends. Finally, the simulation results were verified using experiments. The maximum deviation was approximately 0.4 mm and the deviation of the flange connector was smaller, showing that a good adjustment quality could be achieved using the specific adjustment solution.

Partial least square modeling of hydrolysis: analyzing the impacts of pH and acetate

pH and volatile fatty acids both might affect the further hydrolysis of particulate solid waste, which is the limiting-step of anaerobic digestion. To clarify the individual effects of pH and volatile fatty acids, batch experiments were conducted at fixed pH value （pH 5-9） with or without acetate （20 g/L）. The hydrolysis efficiencies of carbohydrate and protein were evaluated by carbon and nitrogen content of solids, amylase activity and proteinase activity. The trend of carbohydrate hydrolysis with pH was not affected by the addition of acetate, following the sequence ofpH 7〉pH 8〉pH 9〉pH 6〉pH 5; but the inhibition of acetate （20 g/L） was obvious by 10%-60 %. The evolution of residual nitrogen showed that the effect of pH on protein hydrolysis was minor, while the acetate was seriously inhibitory especially at alkali condition by 45%-100 %. The relationship between the factors （pH and acetate） and the response variables was evaluated by partial least square modeling （PLS）. The PLS analysis demonstrated that the hydrolysis of carbohydrate was both affected by pH and acetate, with pH the more important factor. Therefore, the inhibition by acetate on carbohydrate hydrolysis was mainly due to the corresponding decline of pH, but the presence of acetate species, while the acetate species was the absolutely important factor for the hydrolysis of protein.

RNA interference-mediated silencing of a Halloween gene spookier affects nymph performance in the small brown planthopper Laodelphax striatellus

Post-embryonic development of insects is highly dependent on ecdysteroid hormone 20-hydroxyecdysone. Halloween gene spookier （spok, cyp307a2） has been documented to be involved in ecdysteroidogenesis in Drosophila melanogaster and Bombyx mori. We describe here the cloning and characterization of Halloween gene spookier （Lsspok, Lscyp307a2） in the small brown planthopper Laodelphax striatellus, a hemipteran insect species. LsSPOK has three insect-conserved P450 motifs, that is, Helix-K, PERF motif and heme-binding domain. Temporal and spatial expression patterns of Lsspok were evaluated by quantitative polymerase chain reaction. Through the fouth- instar and the early fifth-instar stages, Lsspok showed two expression peaks in the second- and fifth-day fourth-instar nymphs, and two troughs in the first-day fourth and fifth in- stars. On day 5 of the fourth-instar nymphs, Lsspok clearly had a high transcript level in the thorax where prothoracic glands were located. Dietary introduction of double-stranded RNA of Lsspok in the nymph stage successfully knocked down the target gene, decreased expression level ofecdysone receptor （LsEcR） gene, caused nymphal lethality and delayed development. Ingestion of 20-hydroxyecdysone in Lsspok-dsRNA-exposed nymphs did not increase Lsspok expression level, but almost completely rescued the LsEcR mRNA level and relieved the negative effects on survival and development. Thus, our data suggest that the ecdysteroidogenic pathway is conserved in insects and LsSPOK is responsible for specific steps in ecdysteroidogenesis in L. striatellus.

Ethylenediurea(EDU)has been used as a chemical protectant against ozone(O3).However,its protective effect and physiological mechanisms are still *** present study aimed to investigate the changes of foliar visible injury,physiological characteristics and emission rates of volatile organic compounds(VOCs)in one-year-old Populus alba"Berolinensis"saplings pretreated with EDU and exposed to elevated O3(EO,120μg/m3).The results showed that foliar visible injury symptoms under EO were significantly alleviated in plants with EDU application(plined under EO relative to unexposed controls with the effect partially reversed by EDU ***,VOCs emission rate declined under EO relative to unexposed plants with a recovery of emission rate observed with 300 and 600 mg/L EDU *** findings provided significant evidence that EDU exerted a beneficial effect and protection on the tested plants against O3 stress.

Effects of Asian dust events on atmospheric bacterial communities at different distances downwind of the source region

Aeolian dust particles arising from arid and semiarid zones are known to carry microbes by air currents. The effect of wind-borne bacteria on atmospheric bacterial population at various downwind distances from the dust source regions must be clarified, but has not yet been reported. This study monitored the bacterial abundance and community composition in outdoor aerosol samples in Beijing, China, which is close to the Asian dust source regions, and compared them with the results obtained in a distant region（Osaka, Japan）.The Asian dust collected in Beijing contained（4 ± 3） × 10^4 bacterial cells/m^3, approximately 4 times higher than in Osaka. On 15 April 2015, Beijing experienced severe Asian dust events with a 1000-fold increase in bacterial abundance, relative to non-Asian dust days. Dominant bacterial phyla and classes in Asian dust collected in Beijing were Actinobacteria, Bacilli and Acidobacteria, and the bacterial community composition varied more widely than in *** bacterial community compositions differed between the Beijing and Osaka dusts, even for the same Asian dust events. These results indicated that aerosol bacterial communities nearer the dust source are more affected by eolian dust than their distant counterparts.
