BACKGROUND Intravascular fasciitis(IVF)is a rare nodular fasciitis that often involves the layers and lumens of blood vessels;therefore,it is easily misdiagnosed as a malignant tumor with invasion into blood *** SUMMARY A 13-year-old boy was admitted due to a mass on the left side of his *** ultrasonography revealed a circular solid hypoechoic mass in the external jugular vein,and magnetic resonance imaging revealed an enhanced longitudinal masslike lesion in the left supraclavicular *** treatment was arranged and completed,histopathological analysis showed a large amount of spindle cell proliferation,and immunohistochemistry showed that the spindle cells were positive for the expression of vimentin,caldesmon,and smooth muscle actin and negative for the expression of S-100 protein,desmin,CD34,and c-kit;Ki-67 staining revealed a low proliferative index(5%-10%),which confirmed the differentiation characteristics of *** in situ hybridization detected the rearrangement of *** was subsequently *** IVF is characterized by intraluminal,intramural and extramural involvement of small to large arteries or *** the doctor has a deep understanding of the disease or suspects that there is an initial indicator,IVF may be confused with other intravascular malignancies,leading to unnecessary radical *** examination combined with histopathological examination can improve the diagnostic accuracy of this disease.

Theoretical and numerical simulation investigation of deep hole dispersed charge cut blasting

Drilling and blasting methods have been used as a common driving technique for shallow-hole driving and blasting in rock *** the advent of digital electronic detonators and the need for increased production efciency,the traditional blasting design is no longer suitable for deep hole *** this paper,a disperse charge cut blasting method was proposed to address the issues of low excavation depth and high block rate in deep hole undercut ***,a blasting model was used to illustrate the mechanism of the deep hole dispersive charge cut blasting ***,continuous charge and dispersed charge blasting models were developed using the smooth particle hydrodynamics-fnite element method(SPHFEM).The cutting parameters were determined theoretically,and the cutting efciency was introduced to evaluate the cutting *** blasting efects of the two charging models were analyzed utilizing the evolution law of rock damage,the number of rock particles thrown,and the cutting *** results show that using a dispersed charge improves the cutting efciency by about 20%and the rock breakage for the deep hole cut blasting compared to the traditional continuous *** addition,important parameters such as cutting hole spacing,cutting hole depth and upper charge proportion also have a signifcant impact on the cutting ***,the deep hole dispersed charge cut blasting technology is combined with the digital electronic detonator through the feld engineering *** provides a reference for the subsequent deep hole cutting blasting and the use of electronic detonators in rock roadways.

Novel infrared differential optical absorption spectroscopy remote sensing system to measure carbon dioxide emission

A CO_2 infrared remote sensing system based on the algorithm of weighting function modified differential optical absorption spectroscopy(WFM-DOAS) is developed for measuring CO_2 emissions from pollution sources. The system is composed of a spectrometer with band from 900 nm to 1700 nm, a telescope with a field of view of 1.12?, a silica optical fiber, an automatic position adjuster, and the data acquisition and processing module. The performance is discussed,including the electronic noise of the charge-coupled device(CCD), the spectral shift, and detection limits. The resolution of the spectrometer is 0.4 nm, the detection limit is 8.5 × 10^(20)molecules·cm^(-2), and the relative retrieval error is < 1.5%.On May 26, 2018, a field experiment was performed to measure CO_2 emissions from the Feng-tai power plant, and a twodimensional distribution of CO_2 from the plume was obtained. The retrieved differential slant column densities(dSCDs)of CO_2 are around 2 × 10^(21) molecules·cm^(-2) in the unpolluted areas, 5.5 × 10^(21)molecules·cm^(-2) in the plume locations most strongly affected by local CO_2 emissions, and the fitting error is less than 2 × 10^(20)molecules·cm^(-2), which proves that the infrared remote sensing system has the characteristics of fast response and high precision, suitable for measuring CO_2 emission from the sources.

The permanganate(Mn(VII))oxidation has emerged as a promising technology for the remediation and treatment of the groundwater and surface water contaminated with the organic ***,only a few studies have been conducted to explore the role of the heavy metals(especially the redox-active ones)during the Mn(VII)oxidation *** this study,taking Pb(II)as an example,its influence on the Mn(VII)decontamination performance has been extensively *** was found that,with the presence of Pb(II),Mn(VII)could degrade diclofenac(DCF),2,4-dichlorophenol,and aniline more effectively than *** instance,over a wide pH range of 4.5–8.0,the dosing of 10μmol/L Pb(II)accelerated the DCF removal rate from 0.006–0.25 min–1 to 0.05–0.46 min–1 with a promotion factor of 1.9–*** the UV-vis spectroscopic and high resolution transmission electron microscopy analyses suggested that Mn(VII)could react with Pb(II)to produce Mn(IV)and Pb(IV)at pH 6.0–8.0,further experiments revealed that Pb(II)did not exert its enhancing effect through promoting the generation of MnO_(2),as the reactivity of MnO_(2)was poor under the employed pH *** pH below 5.0,it was interesting to find that,a negligible amount of MnO_(2)was formed in the Mn(VII)/Pb(II)system in the absence of contaminants,while once MnO_(2)was generated in the presence of contaminants,it could catalyze the Pb(II)oxidation to Pb(IV)by Mn(VII).Collectively,by highlighting the conversion process of Pb(II)to Pb(IV)by either Mn(VII)or MnO_(2),the reactive Pb(III)intermediates were proposed to account for the Pb(II)enhancement effect.

Genomic analyses of metal resistance genes in three plant growth promoting bacteria of legume plants in Northwest mine tailings, China

To better understand the diversity of metal resistance genetic determinant from microbes that survived at metal tailings in northwest of China, a highly elevated level of heavy metal containing region, genomic analyses was conducted using genome sequence of three native metal-resistant plant growth promoting bacteria（PGPB）. It shows that： Mesorhizobium amorphae CCNWGS0123 contains metal transporters from P-type ATPase, CDF（Cation Diffusion Facilitator）, Hup E/Ure J and CHR（chromate ion transporter） family involved in copper, zinc, nickel as well as chromate resistance and homeostasis. Meanwhile, the putative Cop A/Cue O system is expected to mediate copper resistance in Sinorhizobium meliloti CCNWSX0020 while Znt A transporter, assisted with putative Czc D, determines zinc tolerance in Agrobacterium tumefaciens CCNWGS0286. The greenhouse experiment provides the consistent evidence of the plant growth promoting effects of these microbes on their hosts by nitrogen fixation and/or indoleacetic acid（IAA） secretion,indicating a potential in-site phytoremediation usage in the mining tailing regions of China.

Optical Remote-sensing Monitoring and Forecasting of Atmospheric Pollution in Huaibei Area, China

Huaibei is an energy city. Coal as the primary energy consumption brings a large number of regional pollution in Huaibei area. Differential optical absorption spectroscopy （DOAS） as optical remote sensing technology has been applied to monitor regional average concen- trations and inventory of nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide and ozone. DOAS system was set up and applied to monitor the main air pollutants in Huaibei area. Monitoring data were obtained from 7 to 28 August, 2011. Monitoring results show measurements in controlling pollution are effective, and emissions of pollutants are up to the national standard in Huaibei area. Prediction model was also created to track changing trend of pollutions. These will provide raw data support for effective evaluation of environmental quality in Huaibei area.

Effect of Atmospheric Interfering Absorption on Measurement of BTX by DOAS

It was reported on the elimination of interfering absorption of BTX. the absorption of O2 includes different absorption bands, which change differently when the partial pressure of oxygen is varied. These cause the nonlinear absorption of O2 and the observed band shape to vary with the column density of O2. The absorption ratios of molecular absorption in each of the Herzberg bands and dimer absorptions, as well as the contribution to the correction error of molecular absorption, are studied based on the characteristic of these absorption bands. The optimized way to eliminate the interfering absorption is obtained in the end and the effectiveness of using interpolation proposed by Volkamer et al. to remove O2 absorption is proved again. As to O2 and SO2, the effect of the thermal effect of characteristic spectra on the elimination error of their absorption is studied. Solutions to these problems are discussed and demonstrated together with methods to optimize the interpolation of spectra. As a sample application, differential optical absorption spectroscopy （DOAS） measurements of BTX are carried out. Results show a low detection limit and the good correlation with point instruments are achieved. All these prove the feasibility of using spectral interpolation to improve the accuracy of DOAS measurements of aromatic hydrocarbons for practical purposes.

Effect of Water Vapor Absorption on Measurements of Atmospheric Nitrate Radical by LP-DOAS

During the measurement of atmospheric nitrate radical by long-path differential optical absorption spectroscopy, water vapor strong absorption could affect the measurement of nitrate radical and detection limits of system. Under the tropospheric condition, the optical density of water vapor absorption is non-linearly dependent on column density. An effective method was developed to eliminate the effect of water vapor absorption. Reference spectra of water vapor based on the daytime atmospheric absorption spectra, when fitted together with change of cross section with water vapor column densities, gave a more accurate fitting of water vapor absorptions, thus its effect on the measurements of nitrate radical could be restricted to a minimum and detection limits of system reached 3.6 ppt. The modified method was applied during an intensive field campaign in the Pearl River Delta, China. The NO3 concentration in polluted air masses varied from 3.6 ppt to 82.5 ppt with an average level of 23.6±1.8 ppt.

BACKGROUND Left cardiac myxoma(CM)is the most common benign tumor of primary cardiac tumors,but because of its special position caused by pathological physiology change,caused by the complications of the heavier,the surface is often accompanied by blood clots,once fall out,it causes peripheral vascular embolization,such as acute lower limb artery embo-lization,harmfulness is large,high morbidity,and easy to occur *** SUMMARY A 67-year-old male patient suddenly appeared numbness and weakness of the left lower limb and could not walk without obvious *** patient was finally diagnosed as left CM complicated with acute lower limb arterial embolism after completing cardiac ultrasound,computer tomography angiography,and histopathological analysis,such as hematoxylin-eosin stain staining,immunohistochemistry and special staining including alcian blue staining and periodic acid schiff *** thrombosis was removed successfully by femoral artery thrombectomy,postoperative numbness and weakness of the patient’s left lower limb disappeared,skin temperature became warm,and dorsal foot artery pulsation was *** patient was readmitted to the hospital 8 mo after discharge for left atrial mass resection,and was diagnosed as CM by postoperative histopathological *** Although CM is rare,it may be considered as the source of embolism in patients with acute limb *** loss of thrombus on the tumor and its surface may lead to repeated embolism of peripheral *** ultrasound is helpful for early ***,we use this case report to highlight left CM as an important cause of acute limb ischemia and to report our experience in the diagnosis and treatment of lower limb arterial embolism caused by CM detachment.

Introduction Rhabdomyosarcoma is one of the most commonly seen soft-tissue sarcomas in children and teenagers, approximately accounting for half of all soft-tissue sarcomas. The tumor is usually found in head and neck, four limbs and urogenital system. However, the tumor orig- inating from the laryngohypopharynx is rare. In 2008, a patient with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma of the laryngohypopharynx was admitted to our hospital. Clinical information of the disease was reported as follows, and clinicopathologic features and current therapeutic principle were discussed and summarized in combination with the review of literature, to facilitate the diagnosis and treatment of the patients with rhabdomyosarcoma of the laryngohypopharynx in future.
