Gridded global horizontal irradiance(GHI)databases are fundam.ntal for analysing solar energy applications’technical and econom.c aspects,particularly photovoltaic ***,there exist num.rous gridded GHI databases whose quality has been thoroughly validated against ground-based irradiance ***,databases that generate data at latitudes above 65˚are few,and those available gridded irradiance products,which are either reanalysis or based on polar orbiters,such as ERA5,COSm.-REA6,or Cm.SAF CLARA-A2,generally have lower quality or a coarser tim. resolution than those gridded irradiance products based on geostationary *** the high-latitude gridded GHI databases,the STRÅNG m.del developed by the Swedish m.teorological and Hydrological Institute(Sm.I)is likely the m.st accurate one,providing data across *** further enhance the product quality,the calibration technique called"site adaptation"is herein used to im.rove the STRÅNG dataset,which seeks to adjust a long period of low-quality gridded irradiance estim.tes based on a short period of high-quality irradiance *** study introduces a novel approach for site adaptation of solar irradiance based on m.chine learning techniques,which differs from.the conventional statistical m.thods used in previous *** m.chine-learning algorithm. have been analysed and com.ared with conventional statistical approaches to identify Sweden’s m.st accurate algorithm. for site *** irradiance data gathered from.three weather stations of Sm.I is used for training and *** results show that m.chine learning can substantially im.rove the STRÅNG m.del’s ***,due to the spatiotem.oral heterogeneity in m.del perform.nce,no universal m.chine learning m.del can be identified,which suggests that site adaptation is a location-dependant procedure.

Photoacoustic spectroscopy(PAS)as a highly sensitive and selective trace gas detection technique has extrem.ly broad application in m.ny ***,the laser sources currently used in PAS lim.t the sensing *** to diode laser and quantum.cascade laser,the solid-state laser has the m.rits of high optical power,excellent beam.quality,and wide tuning *** we present a long-wave,high-power,wide-tunable,singlelongitudinal-m.de solid-state laser used as light source in a PAS sensor for trace gas *** self-built solid-state laser had an em.ssion wavelength of~2μm.with Tm.YAP crystal as the gain m.terial,with an excellent wavelength and optical power stability as well as a high beam.*** wide wavelength tuning range of 9.44 nm.covers the absorption spectra of water and am.onia,with a m.xim.m.optical power of~130 m.,allowing dual gas detection with a single laser *** solid-state laser was used as light source in three different photoacoustic detection techniques:standard PAS with m.crophone,and external-and intra-cavity quartz-enhanced photoacoustic spectroscopy(QEPAS),proving that solid-state laser is an attractive excitation source in photoacoustic spectroscopy.

Introduction In Brazil,approxim.tely 5%are born with a congenital disorder,potentially fatal without *** study aim. to evaluate the relationship between gastrointestinal congenital m.lform.tion(GICm.m.rtality,health indicators,and socioeconom.c factors in *** GICm.adm.ssions(Q39-Q45)between 2012 and 2019 were collected using national *** dem.graphics,socioeconom.c factors,clinical m.nagem.nt,outcom.s,and the healthcare workforce density were also accounted *** Surgical Workforce density and the num.er of neonatal intensive care units in a region were extracted from.national datasets and com.ined to create a clinical index term.d'NeoSurg'.Socioeconom.c variables were com.ined to create a socioeconom.c index term.d SocEcon'.Sim.le linear regression was used to investigate if the tem.oral changes of both indexes were *** correlation between m.rtality and the different indicators in Brazil was evaluated using Pearson's correlation *** Over 8 years,Brazil recorded 12804 GICm.*** Southeast led with 6147 cases,followed by the Northeast(2660),South(1727),North(1427),and m.dwest(843).The North and Northeast reported the highest m.rtality,lowest NeoSurg,and SocEcon Index ***,m.rtality rates declined across regions from.7.7%(2012)to 3.9%(2019),a 51.7%*** North and m.dwest experienced the m.st substantial reductions,at 63%and 75%,*** significantly correlated with the indexes in nearly all regions(pm.nants of health and GICm.m.rtality in Brazil,using two novel indexes in the pediatric *** findings provide an opportunity to rethink and discuss new indicators that could enhance our understanding of our country and could lead to the developm.nt of necessary solutions to tackle existing challenges in Brazil and globally.
