The cathode process of.tantalum ion in molten NaCl-KCl-K_(2)Taf.(7),at 720℃was investigated by three transient electrochemical *** results show that the electroreduction reaction of.Ta5*involves a single reversible f.ve electron *** dif.usion coef.icients of.the complexion containing Tas*measured by above mentioned techniques are alike such as 1.15×10^(-5)by cyclic voltammetry.1.10×10^(-5)by chronopotentiometry and 1.15×10^(-5)by chronoamperometry *** ef.ect of.electroactive species containing oxygen on tantalum reduction process was also studied.

This paper investigates how state diagrams can be best represented in the polychronous model of.computation (MoC) and proposes to use this model f.r code validation of.behavior specif.cations in architecture analysis & design language (AADL). In this relational MoC, the basic objects are signals, which are related through dataf.ow equations. Signals are associated with logical clocks, which provide the capability to describe systems in which components obey multiple clock rates. We propose a model of.f.nite-state automata, called polychronous automata, which is based on clock relationships. A specif.city of.this model is that an automaton is submitted to clock constraints, which allows one to specif. a wide range of.control-related conf.gurations, being either reactive or restrictive with respect to their control environment. A semantic model is def.ned f.r these polychronous automata, which relies on boolean algebra of.clocks. Based on a previously def.ned modeling method f.r AADL sof.ware architectures using the polychronous MoC, the proposed model is used as a f.rmal model f.r the AADL behavior annex. This is illustrated with a case study involving an adaptive cruise control system.

The Trans-North China Belt （TNCB） is a Paleoproterozoic collisional orogen （ca. 1.9-1.8 Ga） responsible f.r the amalgamation of.the North China Craton. Detailed f.eld works in Liiliangshan, Hengshan, Wutaishan and f.ping massif. where the belt is well exposed, allow us to draw a new tectonic map and crustal-scale cross sections. The available petrologic, radiometric, geochronologic data are integrated in a geodynamic evolution scheme f.r this orogen. The Low Grade Maf.c Unit （LGMU） is interpreted as an ophiolitic nappe rooted in a suture zone located in the western part of.the Lüliangshan. This ophiolitic nappe overthrusts to the SE upon the Orthogneiss-Volcanites Unit （OVU） that consists of.a bimodal volcanic-sedimentary series metamorphosed under amphibolite f.cies conditions intruded by calcalkaline orthogneiss. The OVU is a composite Neoarchean-Paleoproterozoic magmatic arc developed during two stages （ca. 2500 and 2100 Ma） upon a continental basement corresponding to the western extension of.the Neoarchean f.ping massif.The OVU overthrusts to the SE the f.ping massif.along the Longquanguan shear zone. This stack of.nappes, coeval with an amphibolite f.cies metamorphism, is dated at ca. 1880 Ma. Subsequently, the metamorphic series experienced a widespread migmatization at 1850 Ma and was intruded by post-orogenic plutons dated at 1800 Ma. The weakly to unmetamorphosed Hutuo Supergroup unconf.rmably overlies the metamorphosed and ductilely def.rmed units （OVU and LGMU）, but it is also involved in a second tectonic phase developed in subsurf.ce conditions. These structural f.atures lead us to question the ca. 2090 Ma age attributed to the Hutuo supergroup. Moreover, in the f.ping massif.several structural and magmatic lines of.evidence argue f.r an earlier orogenic event at ca. 2100 Ma that we relate to an older west-directed subduction below the f.ping Block. A study of.the surf.ce assisted self.assembly of.1,2,4,5-tetracyanobenzene （TCNB） acceptor molecules and f. atoms on an Au（111） surf.ce is presented. While conditions to get the two-dimensional arrays of.stable f.（TCNB）4 complexes are clearly identif.ed, ultrahigh vacuum scanning tunneling microscopy and spectroscopy （STM/STS） coupled with f.rst-principles calculations reveals that situations may occur where f. and TCNB survive on the surf.ce （as f.-4TCNB entities） at a higher density than the original molecular monolayer without f.rming coordination bonds with each other. It is f.und that the square planar coordination of.the f.（TCNB）4 monomer complexes cannot f.lly develop in the presence of.lateral strain due to growth-induced conf.nement. A phenomenon similar to steric hindrance involving a strongly modif.ed chirality with a f.-N-C bond angle of.120° compared to the 180° f.r the stable complex may then explain why the f. atom keeps its metallic bond with the surf.ce. The competition between steric and electronic ef.ects, not reported bef.re, may arise elsewhere in surf.ce chemistry involved in the synthesis of.new and potentially usef.l organic nanomaterials.

Laser-induced thermocapillary def.rmation of.liquid surf.ces has emerged as a promising tool to precisely characterize the thermophysical properties of.pure ***,challenges arise f.r nanof.uid(Nf.and sof. biof.uid systems where the direct interaction of.the laser generates an intriguing interplay between heating,momentum,and scattering f.rces which can even damage sof. ***,we report a versatile,pump-probe-based,rapid,and non-contact interf.rometric technique that resolves interf.ce dynamics of.complex f.uids with the precision of.1 nm in thick-f.lm and 150 pm in thin-f.lm regimes below the thermal limit without the use of.lock-in or modulated *** characterize the thermophysical properties of.complex Nf.in three exclusively dif.erent types of.***,when the Nf.is heated f.om the bottom through an opaque substrate,we demonstrate that our methodology permits the measurement of.thermophysical properties(viscosity,surf.ce tension,and dif.usivity)of.complex Nf.and ***,in a top illumination conf.guration,we show a precise characterization of.Nf.by quantitively isolating the competing f.rces,taking advantage of.the dif.erent time scales of.these ***,we show the measurement of.Nf.conf.ned in a metal cavity,in which the transient thermoelastic def.rmation of.the metal surf.ce provides the properties of.the Nf.as well as thermo-mechanical properties of.the *** results reveal how the dissipative nature of.the heatwave allows us to investigate thick-f.lm dynamics in the thin-f.lm regime,thereby suggesting a general approach f.r precision measurements of.complex Nf.,biof.uids,and optof.uidic devices.

Physiological thermotolerance and behavioral thermoregulation are central to seasonal cold adaptation in ectothermic *** species with enhanced mobility,behavioral responses may be of.greater importance in the cold stress *** the carabid beetles as a study organism,the current study compared physiological thermotolerance and behavioral thermoregulation in carabid species inhabiting cereal f.elds in dif.erent landscape contexts,f.om f.ne grain heterogeneous“complex”landscapes to homogenous“simple”*** thermotolerance was determined via measurement of.the CTmin and chill coma *** responses to cold temperature exposure were determined employing a purpose built arena,and thoracic temperature measured to estimate the ef.icacy of.the behavior as a f.rm of.behavioral *** revealed an inf.uence of.landscape composition on the cold tolerance of.carabid beetles,although species dif.ered in their sensitivity to landscape intensif.cation.A reduced ef.ect of.landscape on the thermotolerance of.larger carabid beetles was observed,thought to be the consequence of.greater mobility preventing local acclimation to microclimatic variation along the landscape intensif.cation *** into behavioral thermoregulation of.the 3 largest species revealed burrowing behavior to be the main behavioral response to cold stress,acting to signif.cantly raise carabid body *** f.nding highlights the importance of.behavioral thermoregulation as a strategy to evade cold *** use of.behavioral thermoregulation may negate the need to invest in physiological thermotolerance,f.rther of.ering explanation f.r the lack of.landscape ef.ect on the physiological thermotolerance of.larger carabids.
