Geographic profiling,or locus operandi,is a scientific approach that has been applied to forensic investigations for several ***,it has never been applied to a phenomenon as complex as the search for missing *** article presents three Italian case studies in which geographic profiling was used to narrow the areas to search for missing *** geographical data were mapped and processed on a geographic information system platform using computational geometry ***,these disappearances occurred during the Italian lockdown period,imposed to address the COVID-19 outbreak,which made the searches slower and more complex than usual.

Gli Autori, in base allo studio di circa 1500 esemplari di specie del genere Antroherpon,forniscono dati corologici su 47 specie e sottospecie appartenenti a questo geuere, con commenti sulladistribuzioue di alcuni taxa e a note sinoimiche sulle grotte di provenienza. Viene inoltre confermata,in base allo studio dell’edeago, la validità specifica di A. subalpinum Jeaunel e sono descritte le seguentispecie e sottospecie nuove: A. brckoensis n. sp., A. elongatum n. sp., A. scutariensis n. sp., A. hoerman-ni hoffmanni n. ssp. e A. scutulatum n. sp. Viene inoltre proposta una sintesi delle attuali conoscenze zoogeografiche sul genere Antroherpon. On the genus Antroherpon Reitter (Coleoptera, Cholevidae, leptodirinae). Data on thedistribution of 47 species and subspecies of the genus Antroherpon, based on the study of about 1,500specimens, are given. Synonymies data on the cave’s names are given also. A. subalpinus Jeannel asa good species is proving, and the following new species and subspecies are described: A. brckoensisn. sp., A. elongatum n. sp., A. scutariensis n. sp., A. hoermanni hoffmanni n. ssp. and A. scutulatum n. sp. Some zoogeographical notes on the genus Antroherpon are also given.

Follicular lymphoma(Fl)is the most common indolent non-Hodgkin lymphoma,accounting for 70%of cases in Western *** this unique name,Fl is an extremely heterogeneous disease,both clinically and *** basis of Fl heterogeneity lies in the different biological pathways which can be activated,because of the variety of gene mutations that can ***,there is a growing interest in the knowledge of these activated pathways,which is also testified by the presence of a new model that incorporates Fl mutations to define patient’s prognosis(m7-FlIPI).These evaluations are also appealing because of the recent possibility of using“targeted therapies”.Targeted therapies are new tools,currently applicable in the setting of relapse/refractory(R/R)disease,where we can find a great variety of“chemo-free”*** in other hematologic malignancies,“cellular therapy”enriches Fl drug scenario,including T-cell dependent bispecific antibodies and chimeric antigen receptor(CAR)*** Fl heterogeneity is the basis of the difference in therapeutic efficacy and disease course among patients,the hope for the future is to understand Fl biology more deeply,to better comprehend how to obtain more representative samples and pre-treatment prognostic information in order to individualize the treatment strategy as early as frontline therapy.

Reverse transcription quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR) is a highly sensitive technique that has become the standard for the analysis of differences in gene expression in response to experimental treatments or among genetic sources. The accuracy of the RT-qPCR results can be significantly affected by uncontrolled sources of variation that can be accounted for normalization with so-called reference genes stably expressed under various conditions. In this study we assessed the stability of 21 reference gene candidates in crowns of two alfalfa cultivars (Apica and evolution) exposed to various environmental conditions (cold, water stress and photoperiod) and from above ground biomass of the cultivar Orca sampled at three developmental stages (vegetative, full bloom and mature pods). Candidates were selected based on their previous identification in other plant species or their stable expression in a differential hybridization of alfalfa eSTs with cDNA from non-acclimated and cold-acclimated alfalfa. Genes encoding ubiquitin protein ligase 2a (UBl-2a), actin depolymerizing factor (ADF) and retention in endoplasmic reticulum 1 protein (Rer1) were the most stable across experimental conditions. Conversely β-actin (Act), α-tubulin (Tub) and glyce-raldehyde 3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) frequently used as “housekeeping genes” in gene expression studies showed poor stability. No more than two reference genes were required to normalize the gene expression data under each condition. Normalization of the expression of genes of interest with unstable reference genes led to observations that were conflicting with those made with validated reference genes and that were in some cases inconsistent with the current knowledge of the trait. The reference genes identified in this study are strong candidates for normalization of gene expression in cultivated alfalfa.

Glioblastoma multiforme （GBM） is the most common adult primary tumor of the cen- tral nervous system. The current standard of care for glioblastoma patients involves a combination of surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy with the alkylating agent temozolomide. Several mech- anisms underlying the inherent and acquired temozolomide resistance have been identified and con- tribute to treatment failure. early identification of temozolomide-resistant GBM patients and improvement of the therapeutic strategies available to treat this malignancy are of uttermost impor- tance. This review initially looks at the molecular pathways underlying GBM formation and devel- opment with a particular emphasis placed on recent therapeutic advances made in the field. Our focus will next be directed toward the molecular mechanisms modulating temozolomide resistance in GBM patients and the strategies envisioned to circumvent this resistance. Finallyl we highlight the diagnostic and prognostic value of metabolomics in cancers and assess its potential usefulness in improving the current standard of care for GBM patients.

Attualmente il genere risulta cosi articolato: subgen. ***, per P. lesinae Reitter, epiroella n. subgen, per P. (e.) muelleriana Paoletti, P. (e.) epirota (Giachi-no), Hittitia n. subgen, per P. (H.) turcica Reitter e Uludagites n. subgen, per P. (U.) minuta n. ***, vengono discussi alcuni aspetti filetici e zoogeografici relativi alla 《linea filetica di Phaneropella》intesa in senso nuovo, formata cioè, per ora, da questo solo genere. Notes on the phyletic line of Phaneropella Jeannel, 1910 and description of three newsubgenera and one new species from Turkey. This article considers the morphologic and systematic re-definition of the genus Phaneropella Jeannel, 1910, at the light of the new data and of the re-examinationof the species attributed to this genus. The study of the reciprocal affinities of the known taxa, ledto the description of a new species and of three new subgenera as well as to establish the synonymyMuelleriella bonzanoi Casale, 1984 = Phaneropella (epiroella) muelleriana Paoletti, 1975 and the appar-tenence of Muelleriella epirota Giachino, 1989 to the genus Phaneropella (nov. comb.). This proposal is intended to be a contribution toward achieving more liveable cities through the revitalization of inner areas based on the restoration and rehabilitation of historic facilities in order to meet current needs. The research starts by posing the following questions. Can we claim, in a general perspective of improvement of the quality of life in towns and cities, that the recovery of abandoned historic buildings could be a key-factor in conservation and innovation policies of the historical heart of towns？ What relationship, if any, is there between the adaptive-reuse design of ancient hospitals and the effects of such action, not only in terms of heritage conservation but also in terms of economic and social regeneration of the surrounding context？ The complexity of this issue is addressed by analyzing related cases, relevant for their design solutions and effects, and proposes answers to the opening questions by correlating the main characters of relevant case studies in europe.
