In this work,a novel refined higher-order shear deformation plate theory is integrated with nonlocal elasticity theory for analyzing the free vibration,bending,and.transient behaviors of fluid-infiltrated porous metal foam piezoelectric nanoplates resting on Pasternak elastic foundation with flexoelectric *** analysis(IGA)and the Navier solution are applied to the *** innovation in the present study is that the influence of the in-plane variation of the nonlocal parameter on the free and forced vibration of the piezoelectric nanoplates is investigated for the first *** nonlocal parameter and material characteristics are assumed to be material-dependent and vary gradually over the thickness of *** on Hamilton’s principle,equations of motion are built,then the IGA approach combined with the Navier solution is used to analyze the static and dynamic response of the ***,we investigate the effects of the porosity coefficients,flexoelectric parameters,elastic stiffness,thickness,and variation of the nonlocal parameters on the mechanical behaviors of the rectangular and elliptical piezoelectric nanoplates.

The use of high-power lights during night-time purse seining is common in ***,metal halide(MH)lamps are used in the commercial fishery to attract fish,however these lights require more energy,have a shorter lifespan,and lower chromatic performance than light emitting diode(LEd)*** study examined catch efficiency and fuel consumption when using LEd lamps in combination with reduced numbers of MH lamps(10.24 kW),compared to conventional lighting(28.6 kW),used during purse seining off the coast of Ninh Thuan province,*** economic performance associated with using LEd lamps in this fishery was also *** found no significant differences in catch rates between the different light treatments,however fuel consumption was significantly *** consumption per nightly trip using LEd with MH lamps was 70.8 l(11.1 l/h)compared to114 l(17.45 l/hr)using MH lamps alone,an estimated 37.9%reduction in fuel *** investment in LEd lamps by a fishing enterprise will require additional initial costs,however our analysis revealed the financial break-event point can be reached after approximately 101 nightly trips when the fuel price is at the 2015 level of USd$0.74 per *** enterprises can increase their profitability,and reduce CO2 emissions,by using LEd lamps in the Vietnamese purse seine fishery.

The objective of this study is to develop a novel and efficient model for forecasting the nonlinear behavior of structures in response to time-varying random *** key idea is to design a deep learning architecture to leverage the relationships,between external excitations and structure's vibration signals,and between historical values and future values,within multiple time-series *** proposed method consists of two main steps:the first step applies a global attention mechanism to combine multiple-measured time series and time-varying excitation into a weighted time series before feeding it to a temporal architecture;the second step utilizes a self-attention mechanism followed by a fully connected layer to predict multi-step future *** viability of the proposed method is demonstrated via two case studies involving synthetic data from a three-dimensional(3d)reinforced concrete structure and experimental data from an 18-story steel ***,comparison and robustness studies are carried out,showing that the proposed method outperforms conventional methods and maintains high performance in the presence of noise with an amplitude of less than 10%.

BACKGROUNd Smartwatches have become readily accessible tools for detecting atrial fibrillation(AF).There remains limited data on how they affect psychosocial outcomes and engagement in older *** examine the health behavior outcomes of stroke survivors prescribed smartwatches for AF detection stratified by *** We analyzed data from the Pulsewatch study,a randomized controlled trial that enrolled patients(≥50 years)with a history of stroke or transient ischemic attack and CHA2dS2-VASc≥*** participants were equipped with a cardiac patch monitor and a smartwatch-app dyad,while control participants wore the cardiac patch monitor for up to 44 *** evaluated health behavior parameters using standardized tools,including the Consumer Health Activation Index,the Generalized Anxiety disorder questionnaire,the 12-Item Short Form Health Survey,and wear time of participants categorized into three age groups:Group 1(ages 50-60),Group 2(ages 61-69),and Group 3(ages 70-87).We performed statistical analysis using a mixedeffects repeated measures linear regression model to examine differences amongst age *** Comparative analysis between Groups 1,2 and 3 revealed no significant differences in anxiety,patient activation,perception of physical health and wear *** use of smartwatch technology was associated with a decrease in perception of mental health for Group 2 compared to Group 1(β=-3.29,P=0.046).CONCLUSION Stroke survivors demonstrated a willingness to use smartwatches for AF ***,among these study participants,the majority did not experience negative health behavior outcomes or decreased engagement as age increased.

Radiative decays d((s))*→d((s))γare revisited in light of new experimental data from the BaBar and BESⅢ*** radiative couplings gd*dγencoding nonperturbative QCd effects are calculated in the framework of the covariant confined quark model developed by *** compare our results with other theoretical studies and experimental *** couplings(in GeV-1)|g(d*+d+γ)|=0.45(9)and|g(d*0d0γ)|=1.72(34)calculated in our model agree with the corresponding experimental data|g(d*+d+γ)|=0.47(7)and|g(d*0d0γ)|=1.77(16).The most interesting case is the decay ds*→dsγ,for which a recent prediction based on light-cone sum rules at next-to-leading order|gds*dsγ|=0.60(19)deviates from the first(and only to date)lattice QCd result|gds*dsγ|=0.11(2)at nearly3σ.Our calculation yields|gds*dsγ|=0.29(6),which falls somehow between the two mentioned results,although it is larger than those predicted in other studies using quark models or QCd sum rules.

The main objective of this study is to further extend the mixed integration smoothed quadrilateral element with 20 unknowns of displacement(MISQ20)to investigate the nonlinear dynamic responses of functionally graded carbon nanotube-reinforced composite(FG-CNTRC)plates with four types of carbon nanotube *** smooth finite element method is used to enhance the accuracy of the Q4 element and avoid shear locking without using any shear correction *** method yields accurate results even if the element exhibits a concave quadrilateral shape and reduces the error when the element meshing is ***,the element stiffness matrix is established by integrating the boundary of the smoothing *** motion equation of the FG-CNTRC plates is solved by adapting the Newmark method combined with the Newton–Raphson ***,the calculation program is coded in the MATLAB software and verified by comparing it with other published ***,the effects of the input parameters on the nonlinear vibration of the plates are investigated.

Spiritual Forests—A Nature Conservation Model of Ethnic Minority Communities in Central Viet Nam

This paper aims to analyze and evaluate a model of forest conservation and management of ethnic minority (or indigenous) people in central Vietnam, often referred to as the spiritual forest. These forests, called sacred forest or ghost forests by the ethnic minority people in Thua Thien Hue province, have existed for a long time among forest residents. However, they have recently declined, both in quality and quantity, due to various factors, including changes in society, economy, environment, and perception, among other reasons. Based on research conducted in A Luoi district, Thua Thien Hue province with household interviews, group discussions, and field surveys, we find that spiritual forest retains religious and human significance. They are also often among the last remaining natural forests left due to deforestation by human activities. The research results indicate challenges that conservation of spiritual forest may face, while giving recommendations derived from communities for sustainable forest development and conservation in the region.
