merapi volcano located in central Java, Indonesia,is one of the most active stratovolcanoes in the world. many Earth scientists have conducted studies on this volcano using various methods. The geological features around merapi are very attractive to be investigated because they have been formed by a complex tectonic process and volcanic activities since tens of millions of years ago. The southern mountain range, Kendeng basin and Opak active fault located around the study area resulted from these processes. DOmERAPI project was conducted to understand deep magma sources of the merapi volcano comprehensively. The DOmERAPI network was running from October 2013 to mid-April 2015 by deploying 46 broad-band seismometers around the volcano. Several steps, i.e., earthquake event identification,arrival time picking of P and S waves, hypocenter determination and hypocenter relocation, were carried out in this study. We used Geiger＇s method（Geiger 1912） for hypocenter determination and double-difference method for hypocenter relocation. The relocation result will be used to carry out seismic tomographic imaging of structures beneath the merapi volcano and its surroundings. For the hypocenter determination, the DOmERAPI data were processed simultaneously with those from the Agency for meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics（BmKG） seismic network in order to minimize the azimuthal gap. We found that the majority of earthquakes occurred outside the DOmERAPI network. There are 464 and 399 earthquakes obtained before and after hypocenter relocation, respectively. The hypocenter relocation result successfully detects some tectonic features, such as a nearly vertical cluster of events indicating a subduction-related backthrust to the south of central Java and a cluster of events to the east of Opak fault suggesting that the fault has an eastward dip.

AIm： To assess pre-orthotopic liver transplantation （OLT） factors that could be evaluated pre-operatively or controlled post-operatively associated with hepatocellular carcinoma （HCC） recurrence and disease-free survival after liver transplantation （LT）.mETHODS： Four hundred and twelve patients transplanted for HCC between 1988 and 1998 in 14 French centers, who survived the postoperative period were studied. Kaplan meier estimates were calculated for 24 variables potentially associated with recurrence of HCC. Uni- and multivariate analyses were conducted to identify independent predictors of recurrence. RESULTS： Overall 5-year disease-free survival was 57.1%. By univariate analysis, variables associated with disease-free survival were： presence of cirrhosis （P = 0.001）, etiology of liver disease （P = 0.03）, α fetoprotein level （〈 200, 200 to 2000, or 〉 2000; P 〈 0.0001）, y-GT activity （N, N to 2N or 〉 2N; P = 0.02）, the number of nodules （1, 2-3 or ≥ 4; P = 0.02）, maximal diameter of the largest nodule （〈 3 cm, 3 to 5 cm or 〉 5 cm; P 〈 0.0001）, the sum of the diameter of the nodules （〈 3 cm, 3 to 5 cm, 5 to 10 cm or 〉10 cm; P 〈 0.0001）, bilobar location （P = 0.01）, preoperative portal thrombosis （P 〈 0.0001）, peri-operative treatment of the tumor （P = 0.002） and chemoembolization （P = 0.03）, tumor differentiation （P = 0.01）, initial type of calcineurin inhibitor （P = 0.003）, the use of antilymphocyte antibodies （P = 0.02）, rejection episodes （P = 0.003） and period of LT （P 〈 0.0001）. By multivariate analysis, 6 variables were independently associated with HCC recurrence： maximal diameter of the largest nodule （P 〈 0.0001）, time of LT （P 〈 0.0001）, tumor differentiation （P 〈 0.0001）, use of anti-lymphocyte antibody （ATG） or anti-CD3 antibody （OKT3）（P = 0.005）, preoperative portal thrombosis （P = 0.06） and the number of nodules （P = 0.06）. CONCLUSION： This study identifies immunosuppression, through the use of ATG or OKT3, as a predictive factor of tumor recur

Lost in the Present: Anterograde Amnesia and medical Decision making Capacity

Although there have been a limited number of case reports of human bilateral hippocampal injury, none of these have addressed the impact of such injuries on medical decision making capacity. The authors present a case of an elderly man with discrete bilateral hippocampal injury. As a result of his injury, the patient was hopelessly “lost in the present” and only retained the basic cognitive functions necessary to have decision making capacity for a limited period of time. He was unable to appreciate the nature of his injury, the potential risks involved in his decisions, and the recommended course of treatment longer than a few minutes. The patient’s resultant neurocognitive deficits left him lacking medical decision making capacity, a likely outcome for patients with persistent anterograde amnesia.

management of recto-vaginal fistulas after prosthetic reinforcement treatment for pelvic organ prolapse

AIm: To communicate our findings on successful treat-ment of recto-vaginal fistulas (RVFs) after prosthetic reinforcement surgery of pelvic organ prolapse (POP). mETHODS: A retrospective single center study between 1998 and 2008 was performed. A total of 80 patients with RVF were identified, of which five patients (6%), with a mean age of 65 years (range: 52-73), had undergone previous surgery for POP with pros-thetic reinforcement. RESULTS: All patients complained about ongoing vaginal infections and febrile episodes. These symptomswere reported after a mean period of 18 mo after POP repair. As a first intervention, three patients underwent ablation of the prosthetic material (Pm). As a second intervention, open proctectomy with a primary anas-tomosis, an omental patch, and a protective ileostomy were performed in two patients. One patient required a terminal colostomy due to complete destruction of the anal sphincters. In two other patients, ablation of the Pm and proctectomy was performed as a one-step procedure. The postoperative course in all patients was uneventful, with a mean length of hospitalization of 20 d (range: 15-30). Closure of the ileostomy was achieved in all four patients within four months. After a mean period of 35 mo (range: 4-60) of follow-up, no recurrence was observed with normal continence in four ***: In our experience, the definitive treat-ment of high RVFs after Pm repair for POP necessitates ablation of the Pm, proctectomy with a primary colo-rectal anastomosis, an omental patch interposition, and a temporary ileostomy.

The ectodermal dysplasias are rare diseases with hypodontia, hypotrichosis and hypohidrosis. The subject's life is considerably constrained and this from an early age, with major difficulties for the integration and acceptance of conventional prosthetic occlusal rehabilitation. The use of implants is an integral part of early treatment, in the regions of stable growth, that is to say symphysis. In two childs of 5 and 6 years we have made implant-borne prosthetic rehabilitation in the maxilla and the mandible. Aesthetic and social evaluation were positive. We have restored the normal oro-facial functions for the correct development of skeletal bases. They acted as an external fixator intraoral, stimulating the growth by the function. Our question was: can we leave a child throughout his childhood and adolescence with a not suitable removable prosthesis, under the pretext of growth unfinished?

Optical memories can be categorized into three regimes,including the optical data storage that use light as a tool to store classical bit values[1,2],coherent memories for light which preserve the amplitude and the phase information of input optical pulses[3,4]and optical quantum memories that specifically work for quantum light field[5,6].Recently,Bland-Hawthorn et al.[7]proposed to construct long-baseline optical telescopes based on transportable optical memories.
