Titanium and its alloys are widely used in biomedical devices,***,due to its biocompati-bility and osseointegration *** fact,fungal(Candida spp.)infection has been identified as one of the key reasons causing the failure of the device that is inevitable and impactful to the ***,this study evaluated the surface morphology,surface chemical composition and Candida albicans adhesion on specimens of 16 binary Tialloys(-5 wt%of any one of the alloy elements:Ag,AI,Au,Co,Cr,Cu,Fe,In,Mn,Mo,Nb,Pd,Pt,Sn,V and Zr)compared with cp-Ti,targeting to seek for the binary Ti-alloys which has the lowest *** *** albicans cultures were grown on the specimens for 48 h,and colony forming units(CFUs)and real-time polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)were used to evaluate the biofilm formation *** electron mi-croscopy and confocal laser scanning microscopy confirmed the formation of *** biofilm on all specimens'surfaces,such that CFU results showed Ti-Mo,Ti-Zr,Ti-AI and Ti-V have less *** formed on the surfaces than ***-PCR showed Ti-Zr and Ti-Cu have significantly higher *** DNA concentrations than Ti-AI and Ti-V(Phowed a statistically higher concentration than Ti-Au,Ti-Co,Ti-In and Ti-Pt(Phould be used in caution.

采用“双选”的心理物理学方法 ,研究了训练后的大棕蝠 (Eptesicusfuscus)在背景干扰的条件下探测半圆形目标的能力。半圆形目标系以静止、旋转、摆动或不同组合的旋转与摆动呈现于蝙蝠。在测试室 ,蝙蝠-目标间距从 3 0cm开始 ,依次递增 10cm直至 110cm为止。当蝙蝠 -目标间距小于 80cm时 ,目标回声的强度总是大于背景干扰声。由旋转目标反射的回声强度则依正弦波调制。结果发现 :蝙蝠对目标的正确探测率随蝙蝠 -目标间距的增加而降低 ;在每一特定间距。

The Role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Radiation Protection of Computed Tomography and Fluoroscopy: A Review

Background: The medical imaging world is currently changing with the introduction of advanced modalities to help with diagnosis. There is then the need for the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in areas such as radiation protection to improve the safety as far as radiations are concerned. This review article discusses the principles, some of the challenges of radiation protection and the possible role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) regarding radiation protection in computed tomography and fluoroscopy exams. Methods: A literature search was done using Google Scholar, Science Direct and Pubmed to search for relevant articles concerning the review topic. Results: Some of the challenges identified were outdated and old X-ray machines, lack of QA programs on the machines amongst others. It was discovered that AI could be applied in areas like scan planning and positioning, patient positioning amongst others in CT imaging to reduce radiation doses. With fluoroscopy, an AI enabled system helped in reducing radiation doses by selecting the region of interest of pathology and exposing that region. Conclusion: The application of AI will improve safety and standards of practice in medical imaging.

Rationale Haematoma growth is common early after intracerebral haemorrhage(ICH),and is a key determinant of *** acid,a widely available antifibrinolytic agent with an excellent safety profile,may reduce haematoma *** and design Stopping intracerebral haemorrhage with tranexamic acid for hyperacute onset presentation including mobile stroke units(STOP-MSU)is a phase Ⅱ double-blind,randomised,placebo-controlled,multicentre,international investigator-led clinical trial,conducted within the estimand statistical *** In patients with spontaneous ICH,treatment with tranexamic acid within 2 hours of onset will reduce haematoma expansion compared with *** size estimates A sample size of 180 patients(90 in each arm)would be required to detect an absolute difference in the primary outcome of 20%(placebo 39%vs treatment 19%)under a two-tailed significance level of *** adaptive sample size re-estimation based on the outcomes of 144 patients will allow a possible increase to a prespecified maximum of 326 *** Participants will receive 1 g intravenous tranexamic acid over 10 min,followed by 1 g intravenous tranexamic acid over 8 hours;or matching *** efficacy measure The primary efficacy measure is the proportion of patients with haematoma growth by 24±6 hours,defined as either≥33%relative increase or≥6 mL absolute increase in haematoma volume between baseline and follow-up CT *** We describe the rationale and protocol of STOP-MSU,a phase Ⅱ trial of tranexamic acid in patients with ICH within 2 hours from onset,based in participating mobile stroke units and emergency departments.
