目的研究旅英华人和当地白人血管内皮功能有无差异。方法选取年龄、性别相似的旅英华人和当地白人各40名(男女各20名),检测体质量、身高、腰围、血压、血脂、血糖、血流介导的内皮依赖性血管舒张功能(FMD)等,比较两组检测结果,并分析心血管危险因素、种族与FMD的相关性。结果旅英华人的舒张压、FMD较当地白人高[舒张压(80.2±9.1)比(75.1±11.3)mmHg;FMD(6.76±2.95)%比(5.52±2.13)%,均ppp<0.05)。结论旅英华人的血管内皮功能优于当地白人,可能与种族因素、饮食习惯相关。

The sweetpotato whitefly, Bemisia tabaci （Gennadius）（Hemiptera： Aleyrodidae） remains a serious threat to crops worldwide. The damaging B-biotype is of specific economic concern because it is an effective vector of over 111 viruses from several fam- ilies, particularly geminiviruses. Bemisia tabaci is regularly intercepted on plants coming into the UK where it is subj.cted to a policy of eradication. The UK maintains protective Zone status against this pest. A main pathway of entry of B. tabaci into the protected Zone involves propagating material, especially poinsettia （Euphorbia pulcherrima）. With increased insecticide resistance continuously being recorded, B. tabaci is becoming more difficult to control/eradicate. Recent research involving both entomopathogenic nematodes and fungi is showing much potential for the development of control programs for this pest. Both the nematode Steinernemafeltiae and the fungus Lecanicillium muscarium have been shown to be most effective against second instar B. tabaci. Fine-tuning of the environmental conditions required has also increased their efficacy. The entomopathogens have also shown a high level of compatibility with chemical insecticides, all increasing their potential to be incorporated into control strategies against B. tabaci.

目的探讨超声在血管内皮功能研究中的应用价值。方法选取年龄、性别匹配的旅英华人和当地白人各40名,检测体重、腰围、体重指数(BMI)、血压、血脂、血糖,并采用超声检测血流介导的肱动脉内径扩张值(FMD),对两组检测结果进行比较,并分析心血管危险因素、种族与FMD值的相关性。结果华人组的舒张压、FMD值较白人组高(ppp<0.05),种族因素与FMD值具有相关性。结论超声检测FMD值法是一种无创、可靠、简便易行的检测血管内皮功能的方法。规范检查方法是保证检查质量的关键。

AIM To investigate the reproducibility of the in vivo endoscopic ultrasound(EUS)-guided needle based confocal endomicroscopy(n CLE) image patterns in an ex vivo setting and compare these to surgical histopathology for characterizing pancreatic cystic lesions(pCLs). METHODS In a prospective study evaluating EUS-nC LE for evaluation of pCLs, 10 subj.cts underwent an in vivo nC LE(AQFlex nC LE miniprobe; Cellvizio, MaunaK ea, paris, France) during EUS and ex vivo probe based CLE(pC LE) of the pCL(Gastroflex ultrahigh definition probe, Cellvizio) after surgical resection. Biopsies were obtained from ex vivo CLE-imaged areas for comparative histopathology. All subj.cts received intravenous fluorescein prior to EUS and pancreatic surgery for in vivo and ex vivo CLE imaging respectively. RESULTS A total of 10 subj.cts(mean age 53 ± 12 years; 5 female) with a mean pCL size of 34.8 ± 14.3 mm were enrolled. Surgical histopathology confirmed 2 intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms(IpMNs), 3 mucinous cystic neoplasms(MCNs), 2 cystic neuroendocrine tumors(cystic-NETs), 1 serous cystadenoma(SCA), and 2 squamous lined pCLs. Characteristic in vivo nC LE image patterns included papillary proj.ctions for IpMNs, horizon-type epithelial bands for MCNs, nests and trabeculae of cells for cystic-NETs, and a "fern pattern" of vascularity for SCA. Identical image patterns were observed during ex vivo pC LE imaging of the surgically resected pCLs. Both in vivo and ex vivo CLE imaging findings correlated with surgical *** In vivo n CLE patterns are reproducible in ex vivo p CLE for all maj.r neoplastic pCLs. These findings add further support the application of EUS-nC LE as an imaging biomarker in the diagnosis of pCLs.

Rottweilers are predisposed to eosinophilic diseases, including hypereosinophilic syndrome. The immunopathogenesis of idiopathic eosinophilia is poorly characterised in dogs and man. Studies in people have suggested cytokines, particularly interleukin (IL)-5, play a role in instigating and perpetuating eosinophilia. This study sought to establish whether differences in gene expression, and concentration of selected, cytokines and chemokines were associated with eosinophilia in Rottweilers. Quantitative real-time reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (qRT-pCR) assays were used to quantify messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) encoding cytokines IL-4, -5, -10, -12p19, -12p35, -12p40, -18, interferon gamma (IFN-γ) and chemokines eotaxin-2 and -3 from peripheral blood mononuclear cell (pMBC) samples obtained from healthy dogs (breeds other than Rottweiler) with normal eosinophil blood counts (n = 5) and Rottweilers with normal (n = 6), mildly increased (n = 7) and high (n = 3) eosinophil blood counts. Quantification of plasma IFN-γ and IL-5 was performed using commercially available canine-specific enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays ELISAs. Cytokine mRNA was measurable in all samples, although eotaxin-2 and -3 were not detected. No significant differences in gene expression of any cytokine were found between groups (based on eosinophil count or breed). No significant difference in plasma IL-5 or IFN-γ concentration was present between groups. In conclusion, there were no significant differences in cytokine mRNA profiles or plasma IL-5 and IFN-γ levels between Rottweilers with increased eosinophil counts and Rottweiler and non-Rottweiler dogs with normal eosinophil counts.

Ⅱ型糖尿病以氧化应激增加和内皮功能紊乱为特征。二者在动脉粥样硬化性疾病发生和发展中起重要作用。短期动脉注射维生素C能增加Ⅱ型糖尿病患者内皮依赖的血管舒张反应,提示内皮功能障碍继发于氧化应激增加,可能原因为活性氧族如过氧化物阴离子阻断内皮来源的NO。为了解口服抗氧化剂能否降低Ⅱ型糖尿病患者氧化应激及改善内皮功能,我们研究一种新的类维生素E的水溶性抗氧化剂raxofelast在糖尿病及正常人中的作用。检测血浆8-epi-pGF2α浓度表示氧化应激,输注乙酰胆碱后血管的反应性表示内皮功能。

previous study has shown that during zygomorphic development in garden pea （pisum sativum L.）, the organ internal （IN） asymmetry of lateral and ventral petals was regulated by a genetic locus, SYMMETRIC pETAL 1 （SYp1）, while the dorsoventral （DV） asymmetry was determined by two CYC-like TCp genes or the psCYC genes, KEELED WINGS （K） and LOBED STANDARD 1 （LST1）. In this study, two novel loci, ELEpHANT EAR-LIKE LEAF 1 （ELE1） and ELE2 were characterized. These mutants exhibit a similar defect of IN asymmetry as syp1 in lateral and ventral petals, but also display pleiotropic effects of enlarged organ size. Genetic analysis showed that ELE1 and ELE2 were involved in same genetic pathway and the enlarged size of petals but not compound leaves in e/e2 was suppressed by introducing k and Ist1, indicating that the enlargement of dorsal petal in e/e2 requires the activities of K and LST1. An experimental framework of comparative genomic mapping approach was set up to map and clone Lj.LE1 locus in Lotus j.ponicus. Cloning the ELE1 gene will shed light on the underlying molecular mechanism during zygomorphic development and further provide the molecular basis for genetic improvement on legume crops.
